Chapter 61: In my room
Nala P.O.V
My eyes open slowly feeling someone touch. The touch felt like something thick was being wrapped around my hand repeatedly. My eyes were blurry.
"Hmmm..," I moan in pain. My body was aching. I blink my eyes continuously trying to see clearly as I turn my head where I felt the person was, holding my hand. My eyes soon clear up and I was able to see who the person was. It was Dr. Charles. He was wrapping a thick piece of material that looks like clothes around my hand, but it didn't feel like clothe. It was a strange material I've never seen before.
My eyes move from my hand that looks like it has been swollen by the weird material and back to the doctor. He glances at me and back to completing wrapping my hand. His eyes were filled with pure sadness. I begin to sob as I move my eyes away from him.
I then realize that I was not in the cell anymore. I was in my room. I was at Dr. Charles's home. I lower my head and there I notice that I was in clean clothes, a large white nightwear that seems too big for my body.
Dr. Charles places down my hand by the side of the bed, which now feels heavy from all the weird wrap around my hand. He walks around my bed, leaving my room. He didn't say anything.
I cry out as I watch him leave me.
He stops, facing the door. I sob staring at his back.
"I know what you're going through hurts Nala," the doctor says to me. I could hear tears within his voice as he spoke to me. "I'm going through the same losing another she-wolf I love daringly," he again says to me as he cries out.
More tears came in my eyes hearing Dr. Charles crying like a baby.
He stops crying and hurriedly walks to the door.
"Call me whenever you need me," he said as he leaves.
I remain to sob sadly. I couldn't believe that my mom was dead. It felt like a terrible nightmare, and I was anxiously waiting on someone to wake me up, to wake me up from this dream so I could hug my mom and cry about it telling her of my horrible nightmare. But it's not, I wasn't having a dream. My mom's death was true. She was no longer here with me. She was gone forever by those bitches. Alpha Anton and his father.
I start to think badly of the twos. I wanted them to suffer and die for what they have done to my mom and dad. They didn't deserve to be within this world. I thought bad thoughts of hurting them within my head that my head hurts and I had to stop. My heart begins to ache being reminded of how awful my mom was treated by them that I had to take my mind off everything. It was too painful to bear. I couldn't handle it anymore.
I lay on my back sobbing softly while I stare at the ceiling sadly for hours. My stomach churns hungrily. I close my eyes not paying my hunger any mind. As much as I felt hungry now, I didn't want to eat. I was too sad and heartbroken too.
My door opens and there I saw Dr. Charles entering my room with a plate of food and a glassful of orange juice. I turn my head to my bedroom window away from him, not interesting in eating. How could he find any energy to prepare food after what had happened? I guess he didn't feel the way that I felt, after all, I thought sadly.
"We have to force ourselves to eat now to gain entry in being strong," Dr. Charles told me as I heard him place down my meal on my bedside table.
I didn't answer him, I remain to stare at my window sadly.
Outside was getting dark and the wind blowing through my window was starting to become chilly. My body trembles cold. Dr. Charles saw my body shiver. He went over to my window closing it. I stare at him.
"Nala, please try to eat," he said as he turns to face me after closing the window.
I still didn't say anything to him. I didn't want to talk to anyone nor did I feel like speaking.
"The guard came by today to inform me that I have until tomorrow to decide what I want to do with Elena's body, bury it or burn," Dr. Charles suddenly told me.
Tears instantly fill my eyes and escape slowly streaking down my cheeks hearing what he had said. Dr. Charles lower himself onto the ground next to my bed and too begin to cry. I cry even more as he did.
"What do you want me to do Nala?" he inquires me sadly. "I can bury her body within my back yard are burn her and place her ashes into an ornament and we could keep it," Dr. Charles again said sadly.
The more he talks about my mom the harder and more painful his crying got, so for me. He lowers his head remaining to sob.
I didn't want to talk about my mom's dead body but seeing that he was having a hard time talking about it. I told him the second option. I wanted my mom's ashes so I could carry it everywhere I was going.
Dr. Charles nodded.
"Tomorrow, we'll deal with it," he told me.
I close my eyes sadly.
