Chapter 48: Messed up plan

Serena’s POV

I looked her straight in the eyes while my fists remained clenched and landing them on her face didn’t seem like a bad idea.

Aria asked that I get a hold of myself and I was doing just that, it would be hard for me to act like all was okay between us but I would manage to.

“How has it been in here?” I asked Willow,

She kept her eyeballs on me also and she must be wondering why I was here to see her after she lied against my brother in the presence of the pack citizens.

Just like Aria assumed and told me before I got here, she wasn’t giving me listening ears and from the look of things, I wasn’t sure she would say a word to me.

“I can see you haven’t been feeding well and I’m…”

“Why are you here?” She chimed.

I didn’t know that it was so obvious I was here for a reason, why didn’t she think I was here to say hello to her or maybe even sympathize with her?

Her words might make me go straight to the point and that wasn’t a problem, I heaved a deep sigh while slowly letting go of my clenched fists.

“I’m here to help you get out of here, with my brother of course,” I said,

“Go help your brother and leave me the fuck alone” She cooed.

The tape recorder inside my pocket was out and I was wise enough not to put it on the table, I had it in between my legs after I turned it on and I did without even looking at it.

Both of my hands were on the table and I was ready to get started, if she made this easy for me, in five minutes I should be out of her sight.

Alpha Bernard would be so shocked when I prove to everyone that my brother is innocent and do nothing about Willow being here, she could rot in here for all I care.

He was convinced that I would actually help Willow get out of here alongside my brother so when I told him that I needed to have a word with Willow, he didn’t hesitate to grant me access to her.

If not for him, I wouldn’t have been granted access to her and this wouldn’t have been possible, it was safe to say that I played on Alpha Bernard’s intelligence.

“We both know that my brother is innocent but that isn’t what I’m here to do” I went on,

I needed her to say something like “What if he’s innocent? I did what I did and I have no regrets about it!” She could even say something similar to it.

“Alpha Bernard and I have come up with a plan and if you do as I say, you’ll be out of here tonight” I lied, I didn’t want to do that but I had no other choice.

“Why isn’t Alpha Bernard here himself?” She inquired, how smart of her.

Aria must be wondering why I started laughing all of a sudden, I didn’t have a response to Willow’s question yet so I needed something to do something,

The minute I came up with the perfect response for her, I would stop laughing, Alpha Bernard wanted to come here with me but I insisted on coming alone because of my mission.

“His presence here will be suspicious to the domestic workers and when we eventually let you go tonight, it’ll all make sense to them so I told him to stay back” I lectured,

“Since when did he start giving a damn about what the domestic workers say or think?” Willow smirked,

“He doesn’t but we don’t know who is watching, common!” I couldn’t help speaking to her in a high tone, this was getting more harder than I thought.

“The pack citizens know about this already so we have to be extra careful or they might protest and I’m sure you know what will happen if that happens” I went on in a bid to make her think that I was on her side.

“Do you think she believes me?” I had to ask Aria,

“Figure it out” her cold response to me.

I was hoping that Willow wouldn’t ask me about the plan and what she has to do because I don’t and won’t have a response to give.

“Don’t think I’m helping you out, I’m only doing this for my brother because you can’t be here while he’s out or the pack citizens will ask questions” I explained,

Our eyes locked again and I prayed to the moon goddess that Willow doesn’t read my mind and find out that all I had been saying to her were nothing but lies.

“Thinking about it, why do you think it’s cool for you to drag my brother into this knowing fully well that he’s innocent?” I hit the nail on the wall,

“Hey, you! Come get me out of here” She ordered the guard who was watching us both,

“Do you think she knows about the tape recorder?” I asked Aria, why would Willow want to return to prison at a time like this?!

“Don’t you want to know what the plan is about and what you have to do?” I hurriedly asked before the guard would get to us.

She stood up and was about to start walking out on me, Aria reminded me that she told me this was exactly what Willow would do.

“Give me a minute or I’ll have to tell Alpha Bernard that you interrupted us,” I told the guard, it was Alpha Bernard who ordered him to bring me here.

He went back to where he was standing initially, leaving Willow and I. Willow’s hands remained on the table while she stared at me in a manner that I couldn’t comprehend.

“Do you really want to spend the rest of your life here?” I inquired but it seemed she had no response to my question.

“Alpha Bernard won’t hesitate to move on to another lady if you decide to stay in here for much longer,” I told her.

She didn’t seem moved by all my words and I was losing it, I just wanted her to confess to lying against my brother.

“Tell Alpha Bernard to come see me if he wants to get me out of here” She cooed, how wise of her.

“He won’t, I just told you that someone we might not know is watching us because you are involved!” I yelled at her.

“If you don’t want to get out of here, at least help my brother who you lied against get out of here!” I pointed a finger at her while saying, I needed to provoke her so she could talk.

“Come take me away” She looked in the direction of the guard and cooed,

“Stay right there” I ordered the guard, he would listen to me and not her of course.

Aria asked me to take a deep breath and I did just that, she knew that I needed to be calm to achieve what I was here for.

“I don’t need your help miss so leave me the fuck alone!” She hit her hand on the table before and after saying.

“I won’t! You put my brother in there…”

“Go to your brother instead” She chimed.

I gulped after our eyes met again, I had gotten her upset and it was what I wanted, the next step would be to provoke her so she could start speaking.

Since the whole cajoling didn’t work, perhaps verbally abusing her would work, I just wanted her to say something about her lying against my brother.

“How bold of you to think that…”

“I said come get me out of here!” She made me swallow the rest of my words by speaking to the guard.

The guard looked in my direction and the look I wore made him realize that he would be doomed if he took a step further at the moment.

“You went low and I didn’t see it coming, out of everyone in the pack, you decided to implicate my brother” I was getting started, it was good to see that she was getting furious.

“Should it have been you?” She asked, I could smile at the moment, she was beginning to do what I wanted.

“If you can’t take me back to the prison, I might have to find my way there” her words to the guard.

She took a step further but I wasn’t going to let her leave at a time like this, I was close to achieving my aim already so I didn’t hesitate to stand up.

“Fuck!” I mumbled,

The tape recorder landed on the floor the minute I stood up, it totally escaped my mind that it was in between my laps.

“Oh wow” Willow looked back and cooed, Dean might be spending the rest of his life in prison.
