Chapter 70: Chapter seventy

"What the fuck are you talking about, Brielle?" I asked, acting oblivious as if I had no idea what she was talking about.

I know it was about her_ the omega girl.

Brielle's sharp eyes warned me, "Stop playing dumb with me, where is that omega?" She spat before a threatening smirk appeared on her lips and her gaze narrowed. "You know how Valerio trusts you, do you want him to know that you're not who he thought you were?"

I wanted to drag this out more and hide the truth. Stefano's warning kept flashing in the back of my mind, but seeing the seriousness in her face, I sighed and gave up.

She knows too much. Brielle might be tough and nonchalant but when it comes to anything that has to do with that bastard…. Valerio, she is overly active and protective.

She was meant to feel that way for me and not for another man.

A scowl suddenly appeared on my face, "Is funny seeing how overprotective you are about him but what about your mate? Do you even consider him worthy of those care and love?"

Brielle snorted, her gaze blazing in a warning and sharp glare. "Don't change the topic,"

"If you really want us to go that way, fine then. I will tell him that we are mates!! Yes, let's expose every f*****g thing!" I growled, curling my fists beside me in anger, struggling to control myself but Brielle gave me a long look before erupting into a loud laugh.

" Really?" She paused, " And you think I will lose anything? You will lose a lot, Beckett_ his trust, me, and remember…." She trailed off, a dirty sneaking into her lips as she quietly scanned my scoffed face. ".... Your life will be in danger, a lot of people will come for you. You lose at last, Beckett,"

Suddenly her words hit me hard as if a reminder of what the future holds. And my mind quickly drifted back to the faint memory of Alpha Lucius and Stefano's nonchalant remark concerning Alpha Reginald's son.

Their threat vibrated in my ear like a snake's deadly hiss. I instantly gulped hard and tilted my head away.

She is right_ Alpha Lucius and Stefano will eventually come for me but I can't give up now. If I lose guard now, my plans will fail and I am not ready for that.

Chuckling, I let out a light cough, interrupting her. "Is not like you even like the so-called omega,"

"At least, I am purpose to know,"

"Fine," I breathe out. One thing is that once it comes to Brielle, I am like a lost sheep drowning in love, completely helpless and unable to resist her charms. And she knows that, so trust her to always use that against me. "... She is better whenever she is right now," her eyebrow twitched at my response.

She doesn't understand. "You don't have to bother about her again." Brielle scoffed and snarled. Baring her canine in distaste, "I was never bothered about her,"

"Really?" My brows quickly furrowed, and my lip stretched out in a suppressed laugh. "Even when she had threatened to expose that you secretly let those werewolves into the pack and intentionally lured Isabella into the northern region."

Her face fell and her body immediately went pale under my watch. She opened her mouth but was quick to shut it instantly.

"How… how… did you know?" She stammered and I offered her a tiny smirk. " I know," that was the only thing I said before taking a few steps forward and she quickly took a few steps back.

Until her back hit the wall and now she was trapped in between the wall and me.

I slowly placed my hand on top of the wall, beside her, caging her from making any move.

I can feel the sparks between us, urging us to claim each other.

Slowly, I trailed my hand along her hair and she flinched. Electric sparks pulling us closer to each other.

I know that she doesn't want this but the bond was messing with us. Our lips were almost closer and I drew closer. Tracing my lips along her cheeks, moving to her left ear and she moaned. Instantly shutting her eyes, her hands itching forward to grab my shirt.

However, almost closer to her ear, I whispered, my voice husky and inviting. I am doing everything in my power not to give in to the raw temptation crawling down my skin. "Don't worry, your little secret is safe with me, and about that omega…"I gave a sensual bite on her ear and a throaty sound slipped out of her mouth. Her chest was heaving up and down fast.
