Chapter 1091: Even the Thornton Family Will be Finished
Emma, seeing the satisfied expression on her mother's face, felt a surge of dissatisfaction.
"Now that Victor has given up on that wretched woman, the position of Mrs. Leer is definitely mine. I not only want this position, but I also want Victor's heart!"
She wanted Victor to treat her the way he did six years ago!
Hearing this, Beatrice nodded in agreement.
She didn't really care, as long as the final marriage alliance was still with the Thornton family, it would be fine.
When Emma noticed her mother's indifference, a hint of displeasure flashed in her eyes, but then she thought of Sophia.
All those things she said to Victor were just made up to gain sympathy. She really had no experience in dealing with children.
Her mother, on the other hand, had raised her since she was little and should have more experience than her.
With these thoughts in mind, Emma smiled and sat down with Beatrice on the sofa.
"Mom, I have a question for you."
Beatrice was puzzled. "What is it?"
Emma looked troubled. "How should I interact with a child? As you know, in the end, whether I can marry Victor is still up to Sophia. If she doesn't like me, Victor will definitely not proceed with the engagement."
The Thornton family was well aware of this matter.
The reason Victor didn't fulfill the engagement was that Sophia had always rejected Emma.
During that time, they had tried many ways to make Sophia accept Emma after discovering the problem.
But no matter what they did, that little girl didn't change her attitude towards Emma.
In the end, Emma lost her patience, and her attitude became increasingly hostile towards Sophia.
It was all that little girl's fault!
Now her daughter came to ask this question, which left Beatrice at a loss.
"Well... Sophia's attitude towards both of us is almost the same. You were also raised by the nanny when you were young, so I don't have much experience in dealing with children either."
Emma's expression darkened slightly.
Seeing this, Beatrice quickly came up with an idea. "Children generally like things such as snacks and toys. Just pick something she likes and give it to her!"
Hearing these useless suggestions, Emma withdrew her smile and waved her hand at her. "Forget it. I'll think of a solution myself."
With that said, she got up and went upstairs.
Beatrice watched her daughter's figure and felt both anxious and helpless.
She also hoped that Sophia would accept Emma sooner so that the engagement between the two families could become a reality as soon as possible.
But there was nothing she could do to help with this matter...
Feeling annoyed, Emma went upstairs with thoughts of Sophia's rejection running through her mind.
Before, that wretched girl had always been silent and uncommunicative. Given that, she could easily threaten her into obedience.
But things were different now. If she was mean to her, that wretched girl might go to Victor with complaints.
By then, not only would she be unable to keep her position as Mrs. Leer, but even the Thornton family might be finished!
She had to find a way to win over Sophia!
With this in mind, Emma gritted her teeth and took out her phone to call Abigail.
Abigail quickly answered. "Emma, what's wrong?"
Emma hissed through her gritted teeth, "Do you know any psychologists? Please introduce one to me!"
"After thinking about it, she realized she didn't need to panic. She only needed some advice from a psychologist!
Hearing this, Abigail couldn't understand. "What happened? Why do you need a psychologist all of a sudden?"
Emma had already been irritated, and now, being bombarded with questions made her even more impatient. "Just introduce me to a psychologist!"
