Chapter 66
Chapter 66
I stood up. “Rachel?”
“Yes, Mrs. Wolfe?”
“I need you to leave whatever you’re doing and go upstairs to the guest room with Vanessa and Zaya. I want you to lock the door and do not open it until I return.”
“Yes, Mrs. Wolfe. She’ll be safe,” Vanessa said, walking up the stairs.
“Now everyone else follow me.”
Adrian
Okay, what was she up to now?. The Old man looked at me and I just Shrugged. When we walked out to the front of the house, I stopped short, and so did everyone else. There were multiple people tied to chairs and blindfolded. I looked at her.“It was the only way to get them here and end this. Let’s go, everyone, have a seat.” She said, walking towards them. I followed her and sat in one of the chairs; everyone else followed suit. That’s when I noticed Hendrick was the only one that wasn’t blindfolded or tied. Ian, my mother, Cathy, Julia, Amelia and her father, Damon, and Gerald Thompson were there.I saw her nod at Armin, and he began pulling off their blindfolds
.CATHY: WHAT THE HELL IS THE MEANING OF THIS, RAYNA?
IAN: You fucking bitch, I’ll murder
SUSAN: Adrian, I am your mother; let me go
.RAYNA: Shut the fuck up. Now let’s start. Mother, oh, sorry, excuse me. Cathy, who is Camry’s father?
CATHY: What nonsense is this? You and Camry are sisters. Your father is sitting right here.
RAYNA: Yes, he is here, but Hendrick isn’t my father, and neither is he Camry’s. Camry isn’t even your daughter.I found Mira and the others looking at me. Rayna walked over to my mother.
RAYAN: Susan, why don’t you tell them?
SUSAN: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
RAYNA: Last Chance
SUSAN: You are FUCKING INSANE
.RAYAN: Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Rayna stood up and looked at everyone.
RAYNA: Say hello to Susan Collins or Susan Wolfe. Susan came from a middle-class family and had big dreams, so she did everything in her power to marry into a wealthy family. She had nothing and no one. She met a young man who she fell in love with, but his family didn’t approve of her. Sadly, she got pregnant and had no money, with no choice but to get rid of the child.
SUSAN: You’re fucking insane.
RAYNA: Oh, I am. One day she was out and about and didn’t know what to do with herself and her new situation when she ran into someone. Cathy Fowler hated that she came from a poor family and wanted a life of royalty just as Susan did. She met Hendrick Wilson, who she was immediately smitten by. She started dating him, and they ended up spending a drunken night together. When Hendrick told Cathy that he didn’t think he could marry her. Surprise, a few days later she was pregnant. The whole sob story was that she was an orphan, her parents died, and she had no one in the world. All the while her father, Jackson Fowler, was very much alive and well.
CATHY: Shut your fucking mouth.
RAYNA: Nope, you all had a chance to tell the truth. Where was I? Ah yes. Now dear Cathy was in a dilemma because she wasn’t really pregnant. She decided to travel to Mister County and try to find a solution to her problem when, as luck would have it, she ran into Susan Collins, who was crying and at her wit's end. So they made a deal. Cathy would return to Terrendale and pretend to be pregnant, and then Susan would hand the child over to Cathy.
HENDRICK: Cathy, is this true?
CATHY: Of course not. You know for a fact that Rayan is insane.
HENDRICK: Actually, she seems to be the only sane person speaking at the moment. Continue. Rayna
RAYNA: As I was saying. Cathy and Hendrick got married when she was six months pregnant, and she was now Mrs. Wilson. Living life. When Susan called her, she left Terrendale and went to Mistern County on the pretense of visiting one of the orphanages that she grew up in. Isn’t that what she told you?
HENDRICK: Yes, when she returned, she returned with Camry.
RAYNA: Exactly, Susan gave birth to a baby girl.
I saw Rayan walk over to a table and pick up a set of documents and raise it up.
RAYAN: These here are the original documents of Camry’s birth. Her biological mother's name and genetic markers. The contract between Susan and Cathy for the sale of her child. Cathy now had money at her disposal. She paid Susan five hundred thousand for her child and her silence.Rayna handed a set of documents to Hendrick and a set to the old man.
HENDRICK: You fucking bitch.
RAYNA: Wait, I’m not finished; this story gets better. The man that Susan was so infatuated with was in Mistern County on vacation. He already had a wife and a child. Let me introduce you to Camrys biological father.
SUSAN: SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU LITTLE BITCH.
RAYNA: Ahh, I know I am a bitch and a very fucking proud one. You were terrified the day Adrian brought me home because you knew whose daughter I was. That’s why she acted that way, Aunt Lisa, because she was scared that her past was coming back to bite her in the ass, and it did.
HENDRICK: Is Rayna my child?
CATHY: She’s making this up. Have you forgotten she’s the one that sent Camry to jail?
HENDRICK: If she did, then that is good. You and that little bitch framed her for crashing into Manfred Wolfe. You didn’t think twice. ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION.
I found Mira and the other looking at me. She was letting it all out now. I found the old man looking at me. He looked like he was enjoying this shit. Rayna walked around and looked at Amelia.
RAYNA: Congratulations, Mr. Ross, you have another daughter.
AMELIA: WHAT?
RAYNA: Yes, your daddy is the one that got Susan Collins pregnant.I heard the gasps all around.
DAMON: Is this true?He was looking at my mother with a horrified look on his face.
SUSAN: Yes, so fucking what?
IAN: YOU FUCKING WHORE
RAYAN: Oh, shut the fuck up as if you’re any better. You and Cathy had fun, didn’t you?
SUSAN: WHAT
RAYNA: Didn’t you know? While you were busy at the country club having dinners and what not, he was hooking up with Cathy.
SUSAN: YOU FUCKING BITCH
CATHY: OH, SHUT THE FUCK UP, AS IF YOU WEREN'T FUCKING HENDRICK.
This was an all-out spectacle. Everyone was looking at me. I saw the old man pull his phone. I looked at him, but he didn’t say anything. He leaned over to Uncle Shane and whispered something, who then whispered down the line, but it didn’t reach me. Five minutes later I saw Vanessa walk out with five bags of popcorn and hand one to each of them. When Rayna turned around, she saw them.
“Really, Grandfather, you’ll choke on that. You need a drink,” she said.
“Ahh, you’re right. I need to let Rachel know.”
