Chapter 317: Be a Flatterer

At this time, Joey had taken off his boxing suit. He was wearing a light brown coat and a white vest. He was in black trousers and had gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose. He looked completely different from that wild guy on the boxing ring but more of a refined rascal.

When Aydan saw Joey's attire, he exclaimed.

"Joey, look at you. As expected of a guy learning abroad. You've evolved from a rough man to a refined rascal. I'm glad to see that. Let's have a drink to celebrate it!"

"Fuck, watch your words! I dressed as a gentleman!"

Joey laughed as he took the wine glass from Aydan and sat down leisurely beside him.

Aydan couldn't accept it. "Save that. A gentleman won't behave like you. You just look like a decent guy outside, but deep down, you are still that wild man who is not afraid of anything!"

Joey couldn't stand it and stopped pretending. He stretched out his long leg and kicked Aydan. He changed the topic after hearing Aydan scream.

"Where is Todd?"

"Do you know that Todd has given up on his buddies and dignity to be a flatterer of a woman? He stays by her side every day!" Aydan said with annoyance.

Joey laughed, "Todd has made out with many women before, you still can't get used to it?"

Aydan waved his hand, "It's different this time. Have you ever seen him with any woman for more than a month?"

"How long has it been?" Joey raised his eyebrows and seemed to be interested.

"At least three months," Aydan said while pretending to ponder.

When Joey heard this, he seemed to be somewhat surprised and was about to speak, but Aydan interrupted him.

"That woman hasn't agreed to be with him. It's all Todd's unrequited love. Now, he stays in the hospital all day to take good care of her. However, she doesn't have feelings for him at all!"

Joey lifted his tongue to touch the lower jaw like a ruffian. "It seems that Todd has fallen for her. This woman is quite capable!"

"You bet. Todd will have nothing left in the end if he continues to be the flatterer. I am ready to comfort him when he is lovelorn."

Todd, who was peeling grapes for Daisy in the hospital, suddenly felt his nose itch and frowned. Who was cursing him?

The four stopped talking about Todd, and Aydan felt that the wine just now was not good enough. He went to the counter for a better one. Joey and Phillip discussed the situation overseas when Aydan was away.

"When Adam came back, he took away more than half of the manpower. Moreover, he privately contacted the enemy of the Moore Group. He will probably make a big move."

"Let him. I want to see how capable he can be!" Phillip sneered.

Joey habitually pressed his tongue against his lower jaw and finished the wine in his hand.

He realized something and turned to Phillip.

"Abbey has been recovering recently, and she wants to return for treatment. What's your idea?"

The smile on Phillip's face froze, and his dark eyes became gloomy.

"Did she tell you the time?"

"I'm not sure. You know her. She always moves first and asks for permission later. If it weren't for the fact that she has to go through a lot of procedures to get herself transferred back home, I might not have known about this!"

"If she wants to come back, then I will respect her decision." Phillip pursed his lips.

Joey saw Ann coming back from the bathroom and raised his chin. "Does your wife know about things between Abbey and you?"

Phillip looked up and saw Ann, and the gloom in his eyes was gone by a little.

"I will talk to her when the time comes."

Joey saw Ann approaching and did not continue the topic.

He had withdrawn his long legs that were placed on the coffee table and acted like an elite.

In the past when he combated to earn a living, he would be as fierce as possible.

But now, he was the general manager of the overseas affairs of the Moore Group and a representative of the company's image. He had to behave himself.

Phillip's wife was a delicate woman who needed protection, and if she was freaked out, the one suffering would be him.

When Ann came over, she looked a little anxious.

Phillip frowned when he saw this. He pulled her to sit down beside him and asked in a low voice.

"What's wrong?"

Ann looked at Joey beside her apologetically, and she said anxiously.

"The driver called and said that the kids saw a street performance on the way home. They clamored to go watch it and lost their way."

As Ann spoke, her voice was broken, and she couldn't sit still on the sofa.

When Phillip heard this, his expression turned serious as he stood up with Ann in his arms.

"Don't worry, Carson and Jackson used to go out by themselves. They know how to ask for help."

Joey understood the matter. He turned to look at Ann, "Where did they disappear?"

"Prosperous Mall."

Joey nodded. "Don't worry, I'll get someone to look for them."

Aydan came over with the wine he had chosen and happened to see the three rushing out. He was confused.

"Why are you leaving? I just picked the wine!"

Joey had finished his call and turned to look at Aydan, "Ann said that her kids went missing."

Aydan widened his eyes. He could no longer see Phillip and Ann, so he placed the wine on the table beside him.

"Shit, can it be an abduction again?"

"Again?" Joey frowned.

Aydan explained as he pushed Joey out, "Ann and her kids were kidnapped once, and Phillip almost turned River City upside down!"

Ann and her kids were River City's bottom line, and no one could hurt them.

When Phillip and Ann arrived at the mall, the street performance was at its climax. Ann endured her nervousness and uneasiness and looked around in the crowd, but she did not see the boys.

Before Phillip arrived, Ann had asked the chauffeur to contact the manager of the mall, send people to search for the kids around, and check the footage.

As time passed, Ann's mind was about to be broken by anxiety.

When Phillip received a call, his gloomy face became brighter. He lowered his head and hugged Ann.

"We've found them."

When the two got over, they saw Aydan holding Nikki in his arms. Carson and Jackson were standing side by side. In front of them was a little girl wearing a dress. She was about the same age as them, and behind her was her mother.

The girl had probably cried because her eyes were a little red. She was staring at the boys in front of her seriously.

The boys were in the same vest, and when they stayed silent and expressionless, they looked almost the same.

Ann quickly walked up to her sons and heard the girl's tender but hesitant voice.

"You are the older one, and you are the younger one!"
