Chapter 634
Chapter 634
Flora couldn't resist planting a kiss on Arthur's cheek when she saw how compliant he was, feeling a rush of affection.
Arthur's throat moved as he couldn't help but deepen the kiss by gently grasping the back of her head, not letting her pull away.
As the moment grew more intimate, Flora seemed to have an idea and gently pushed him back, saying, "Let's head to the hospital tomorrow. Elisa suggested a great clinic for erectile dysfunction. Maybe they can help you out."
Arthur glanced down at his slowly stiffening member, wanting to reassure Flora that everything was okay. But afraid she might think he had been dishonest, he gritted his teeth and nodded in agreement.
After their discussion, he suddenly remembered something and asked Flora, "Does Elisa know about my issue?"
Flora pursed her lips, her eyes shifting awkwardly, and cautiously replied, "I didn't mean for it to come up."
Well, now Elisa and Howard would have something to gossip about later.
Meanwhile, Sierra was short on cash and didn't dare risk heading out to withdraw money at that moment. So, after a day had passed, she discreetly reached out to Atlas.
Walter was unreliable at the moment, and Adeline was being chased by Alex for debts.
The night Sierra contacted Atlas, he couldn't resist meeting up with her, bumping into Alfred on his way out.
Recalling Howard's call, Alfred paused and inquired, "Heading out so late?"
Atlas was surprised to run into Alfred, his face going pale, and he tried to sound composed, "Just taking a stroll, I'll be back soon."
"A stroll?" Alfred glanced at the darkening sky outside. "Didn't you usually go out for a walk two hours ago? Are you by yourself? Where's Aunt Brielle?"
"She's tired and wants to stay in," Atlas hurriedly tried to escape Alfred's questioning.
But for some reason, Alfred was persistent today and kept probing. Atlas's patience wore thin, and Alfred finally hinted, "Maybe Aunt Brielle wants you by her side."
However, Atlas missed the implication, simply nodding, "Got it."
He turned and quickly departed.
Once Atlas was out of sight, Brielle appeared from around the corner.
Alfred smirked, "Aunt Brielle, looks like his loyalty to you isn't as strong as you thought."
Brielle casually smiled, "He was just a passing fancy for me."
Unaware of the unfolding drama, Atlas rushed to a studio, a spot where he and Sierra often met in secret.
The studio was shrouded in darkness, with only a faint night light casting a dim glow.
Spotting the figure in the shadows, Atlas's heart skipped a beat.
Having known each other for so long, Sierra had never appeared so disheveled.
It was evident her clothes were dirty and carried a faint odor.
Sitting across from Sierra, Atlas inquired in a hushed tone, "What's your next move?"
"I'm at my wit's end, but I won't go down alone," Sierra replied bitterly, clearly having dwelled on it all day.
Atlas was taken aback, the news sinking in, a sudden chill running down his spine, yet he still questioned, "Who? Walter?"
Sierra sneered, "He doesn't need my help; he's about to face his own downfall."
She wouldn't let Walter off easily, having anonymously tipped off the police about the truth of the car accident.
Frowning, Atlas asked, "Then who?"
"Elisa," Sierra spat out the name.
Since the incident, she had been mulling over why her carefully laid plans had so many unexpected twists and how once-hidden secrets had suddenly come to light.
Someone must be orchestrating this, and the mastermind behind it had an extensive reach.
Sierra pondered and concluded that only Howard wielded such power.
And Howard's moves typically mirrored Elisa's intentions.
Elisa had always been tormented by Dominic and Harper's deaths, relentlessly pursuing any leads. Perhaps Elisa had uncovered something, explaining why she was doggedly after Sierra.
The more Sierra dwelt on it, the more she seethed. "I want Elisa gone! No, I want her to suffer, to plead for death!"
Seeing her in this state, Atlas cut in, "You know that's not feasible."
Howard was currently untouchable, not to mention Elisa's public status made finding an opportunity impossible.
Sierra grasped this reality well.
In the quiet, Atlas passed her a wad of cash, stating, "Look out for yourself first. I'll arrange for you to leave in a few days. Keep a low profile and don't return. The mountains stay green when there's no shortage of firewood."
Accepting the money, Sierra hoarsely inquired, "Is Gray safe?"
"He's all good, don't fret."
With the knowledge of Gray's well-being, Sierra felt a burden lift, bidding Atlas goodbye with tears in her eyes.
Thirty minutes later, composed, Sierra pushed open a door to seek shelter. But upon opening it, two individuals tackled her to the ground, police car lights flashing nearby.
Forced into the police car, Sierra caught a glimpse of Atlas's silhouette in the rearview mirror.
Reality hit her like a ton of bricks, and she thrashed and cursed in a frenzy.
After years of plotting to aid Atlas, this was the outcome she faced!
Even as she arrived at the police station's entrance, Sierra couldn't shake off her desolation.
While pouring out her emotions, she suddenly spotted Walter approaching her, not in handcuffs.
What was happening? Had he been released without charges?
As they crossed paths, she overheard the police telling Walter, "We'll keep an eye on you. If the investigation confirms that your wife was behind all the actions, we'll drop the charges against you."
Walter kept expressing gratitude and acted as if he didn't see Sierra.
In that moment, Sierra grasped the situation fully. Walter had likely pinned all the blame on her to save himself. Men, devoid of any sense of humanity.
She turned to the police escorting her, calmly stating, "I have evidence proving that the car accident years ago wasn't accidental, nor was it orchestrated by me alone."
Before Walter could even settle into his car, he was brought back.
Confronted with undeniable evidence, Walter vehemently refuted it, claiming Sierra had fabricated it and calling for his daughter to testify on his behalf.
The police, complying with his request, also summoned Elisa and Adeline.
Elisa wouldn't miss such an opportunity and quickly changed into fresh attire to head out.
On the other hand, Adeline desired the Garcia family's inheritance and the shares she couldn't obtain, so she brought her lawyer along.
And so, these two factions coincidentally converged at the police station's entrance.
Elisa, accompanied by Adrian, appeared composed and greeted Adeline with intrigue, "You're here so promptly."
Glancing at the lawyer beside Adeline, she remarked, "You're quite considerate, bringing legal counsel along."
Adeline was fuming but restrained by her lawyer. It wasn't the moment to cause a scene.
Elisa arched an eyebrow, surprised by Adeline's restraint, acknowledging her progress in knowing when to hold back.
