Chapter 580: Meet Her Parents
As soon as the news hit the internet, it went viral. Isabella, a woman always in the spotlight, was never short of news.
What caught everyone off guard was that Bianca was the one who spilled the beans!
When Bianca, who had been MIA for ages, dropped this bombshell, it grabbed the attention of thousands in an instant.
[Whoa, is this for real? Isabella not a part of the Taylor Family bloodline after all?]
[Bianca isn't holding back, she's going straight for Isabella.]
[Even if she's not blood-related, Isabella is still part of the Taylor Family. Why does it matter?]
[You don't get it. These elite families are all about bloodlines. If this DNA test is legit, Isabella might lose her shot at the family fortune, and Bianca could swoop in!]
The online chatter about Isabella's lineage set off a frenzy. It was clear to most that if Isabella wasn't a Taylor by blood, she might have to pass the torch to Bianca! But Isabella wouldn't go down without a fight, so what tricks did Bianca have up her sleeve?
[Nice, it's been ages since we've seen Isabella and Bianca go head-to-head, and this time it's getting serious. It's like a soap opera unfolding, grab your popcorn!]
[I'm Team Isabella all the way! She's worked hard for everything she has. Why should she hand it over to someone else just because of some fancy bloodline?]
[Come on, you really think Isabella got where she is all on her own? Let's not forget all those loyal employees who've had her back. Without that bloodline, she wouldn't have that kind of support.]
Some folks were rooting for Isabella to come out on top, while others weren't so sure. Either way, many sensed trouble brewing within the Taylor Family.
Isabella's expression darkened as she processed the news. She knew this issue would surface eventually, but the timing couldn't have been worse.
Juliet wanted to ask Isabella about the situation, but the grim look on Isabella's face spoke volumes.
'It looks like Bianca might be onto something this time. What's the next move? Will Carol and the crew stick by Isabella?'
Juliet couldn't help but worry about Isabella.
Suddenly, Isabella's phone rang. She scowled, picked up, and her frown deepened.
"Got it, I'll be there soon."
Isabella grabbed her bag and left her desk.
"I need to visit my dad in prison. If Carol and the gang show up, tell them to hold tight."
After briefing Juliet, Isabella exited the office and made her way to the prison.
The call she received was from the warden. Jasper wanted to see her, and this time, Mia was there too.
On the journey to the prison, Isabella closed her eyes and reflected. It didn't take much to figure out that Bianca was pulling the strings. Jasper had no access to outside info in prison, so someone must have tipped him off, and Bianca even sent Mia to join him, setting the stage for a family showdown.
Isabella slowly opened her eyes, a smirk dancing on her lips.
'Thought stirring up trouble would rattle me, huh? Bianca, you're in for a surprise.'
Deep down, Isabella wasn't sweating it. Her past might stir some commotion, but it wouldn't rock her current status.
An hour later, Isabella reached the prison.
The warden set up a room for Isabella and her family to chat.
Jasper was still in cuffs, Mia sat off to the side, and there was a noticeable gap between them, showing they weren't keen on mingling.
"Hey, folks. Let me guess, Bianca sent you here?"
Isabella strolled in with a grin, greeted Mia and Jasper, and took a seat.
Mia gazed at Isabella, her eyes a mix of emotions. She murmured, "Isabella, is that test report legit?"
Isabella nodded. No need to keep it under wraps now.
Mia slumped, hands covering her face, tears slipping through her fingers.
Seeing Mia in tears, Jasper scoffed. "Now you play the caring mom? Even if Isabella ain't blood, you raised her. Remember what we did for her. No room for tears."
Jasper turned to Isabella, intrigued. "When'd you find out?"
Isabella coolly replied, "Recently, during a routine check-up for you both."
Jasper furrowed his brow, lost in thought.
Mia wiped her tears, locked eyes with Isabella, and asked, "When were you swapped? Any idea where my real daughter is?"
Isabella shook her head. "I'm digging into it. All I know is I might've been switched at birth."
"Mix-up at the hospital? We could check."
Mia murmured.
Isabella shook her head, avoiding Mia's question, and turned to Jasper.
"Can I still call you 'Father'? Despite the blood, you raised me."
Jasper snorted, silent. His demeanor was odd today, showing little interest and no curiosity about his biological daughter's whereabouts.
Isabella peered at Jasper. "You must know who's behind this, right?"
Jasper stayed mum, and Mia caught on.
Pointing at Jasper, Mia quivered. "Your father did this, didn't he? Only he could pull it off! He knew about Isabella's DNA, hid it for years."
Jasper's silence spoke volumes. He wasn't clueless; how could he not have seen this coming?
"What's your father's game? What am I to you? I bore your child, why the switch? What's my worth to you?"
An enraged Mia lunged at Jasper, restrained by Isabella.
Jasper sighed, eyeing the furious Mia, perhaps reminiscing about their marriage. His voice tinged with sorrow as he said, "My father's involved. He claimed the child you bore might have issues. Said he had a fix."
