Chapter 24: Bethany and Kyle Go Home and My Talk With Colton

It is the next day after being rescued. I am so happy to be home safe and sound. Both Colton and I get up out of bed and get dressed. We then leave our room holding hands and walk downstairs for breakfast. Bethany and Kyle are sitting at one of the tables with their warriors and Kyle's and Bethany's parents. I smile at Bethany and Kyle. They look like they have made up and are happy.

I get my breakfast and sit down next to Bethany. Colton sits right beside me and puts his hand on my thigh. I smile at him and then eat my breakfast.

Once I am done, I whisper to Bethany, "Hey, how are you and Kyle doing? Did you forgive him?"

She says, "We only spoke for a little while. We were busy doing other things. I want to forgive him, though. I have decided that I am going home with him today and we are going to have a long talk about Tracey and his son. Tracey should be leaving soon for Supernatural High, so then she will not be there to bother us. I want to meet his son and get to know him."

"I think that sounds like a plan. Aiden will be lucky to have you in his life. You are pretty special."

"Thanks Everly and you are pretty special too. So, are you going to forgive Colton?"

"We are going to talk in a little while. I think that I might forgive him, but he has a lot to make up for. Plus I am going to keep an eye on Victoria. She is up to something. I can feel it in my bones."

She just nods her head and then we all get up to see her and Kyle off.

We go outside and I give Kyle a hug and then I give Bethany a really big hug.

I say, "I am going to miss you so much. Please call me and we can visit each other a lot. You have to let me know how it goes with your talk with Kyle. I also want to know all about Aiden."

She says, "I am going to miss you so much too. You are my best friend and you had better call me too. I also want to know about your talk with Colton. Plus, if you need help keeping your eye on Victoria. I am just a phone call away. Plus I am like a ninja in the night. No one will see me."

They then get into their car and leave. We all watch them drive away. Colton comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me.

He then whispers in my ear, "Are you ready to have that talk?"

I nod my head and then follow him to his office. He tells the two guards that are outside his office that he does not want to be interrupted unless something big happens or someone dies. They nod their heads at him.

We then go in his office and shut and lock the door. We sit on the sofa and look at each other.

Colton then begins and says, "Everly, I am so sorry for everything that I have put you through. I don't know what I was thinking when I was hooking up with Victoria behind your back at Supernatural High. Now, she is pregnant and claims that the baby is mine. I had the pack doctor find out if she is really pregnant and she is. Now, we just have to wait until she gives birth to find out if the baby is really mine. I have a feeling that she is lying about it being mine. But if she isn't, I then need to take responsibility for the pup and raise it. I completely understand if you do not want to have anything to do with the pup. I will give Victoria a house on the outskirts of the pack and she can stay there with the baby."

I say, "By the way, where is Victoria?"

He says, "Oh she is in the cells because we thought she knew who kidnapped you and why. She was about to tell us something when Kyle came with the news about where you were. i forgot about her. I should probably let her out of the cells and put her back in her room. Are you going to be comfortable with her living here in the pack house until she gives birth? If not, I can move her into that house I was talking about."

I take a deep breath and say, "Colton, you have really hurt me. I can't believe that you cheated on me with Victoria and then hid everything from me. I know that you are sorry. Yes, I will be ok with her living here in the pack house until she gives birth and we find out if you are the father or not. Just please let her know that she needs to stay away from me. If you ever betray me again, I will leave you."

He gulps and says, "Everly, I will never betray you again. Thank you for being so understanding about everything. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

Now lets go and get some lunch. Also, please mindlink someone to get her out of the cells and help her to her room. She is probably uncomfortable and it cannot be good for the baby that she is in the cells where it is dark and cold.

He nods his head at me and then mindlinks someone. He then grabs my hand and we walk down to the dining room for lunch. I wonder what else is going to happen. Victoria had better watch herself. She is staying in my pack house. If she causes any trouble I will banish her to that little house on the outskirts of the pack. I need to keep my eye on her because something seems off about her. I think that I am going to do a little investigating. I wonder what I will find.
