Chapter 103
As they were deep in thought, the sound of snoring came from the couch.
Shirley blinked, looking completely bewildered.
She was puzzled—how could Alvin fall asleep so quickly?
Sam was equally at a loss. He couldn't stay calm like Alvin.
Sam was too anxious, pacing back and forth in the office.
His eyes kept darting to the sleeping Alvin, making him even more nervous.
"Shirley, do you really think we should just sit here and do nothing?" Sam finally couldn't hold back, his face full of worry.
Shirley, who had been staring at the computer data, looked up, her eyes also showing a hint of concern.
"I know you're anxious, but since Alvin said so, we have to trust him."
"Besides, doesn't this feel exactly like yesterday?"
"If Alvin isn't worried, we shouldn't be either!"
"We might as well relax like Alvin suggested."
Sam sighed. Shirley was right, but his nature made it hard for him to just sit and wait.
"But we have to do something, right? Just waiting around is driving me crazy."
"There's nothing we can do right now but wait."
"Sam, don't worry!"
"Let's take a break."
Shirley, influenced by Alvin's snoring, felt a bit sleepy herself. She grabbed a pillow and tried to take a nap.
But despite what she said, Shirley couldn't fall asleep with her eyes closed.
After a while, she was pacing the office just like Sam.
Their anxiety was palpable, almost tangible in the room.
Time ticked by, and finally, it was 1 PM.
Sam and Shirley rushed to the computer, and Shirley quickly opened the software.
Seeing the data on the screen made them even more anxious.
The number of locked orders kept increasing, and they were at a loss for what to do.
"Shirley, what do we do?"
Shirley frowned, looking worried. "I don't know what to do either!"
"It would be great if a miracle happened right now."
Hearing this, Sam immediately started praying.
He made a gesture and began muttering under his breath.
"God."
"Please bless us..."
Shirley watched Sam, blinked, and then sighed deeply.
There was nothing they could do!
Unfortunately, Sam's prayers didn't help.
The number of locked orders on the limit-up board kept increasing.
Even though they knew Alvin had a plan, the rising number of orders made their emotions fluctuate like a roller coaster.
"What do we do? The number of locked orders keeps increasing, and our enemy is getting stronger."
Sam was sweating, staring intently at the ever-changing numbers on the screen.
Shirley bit her lip unconsciously, deep in thought, her brows furrowed.
"We have to trust Alvin. He must have a way to handle this."
Shirley glanced at the time; there were only a few minutes left until the afternoon trading session.
But the situation showed no signs of improvement.
Sam and Shirley grew more anxious.
Once the market opened, the stock price might continue to hit the limit-up due to these orders, severely limiting their options.
By 2 PM, the number of locked orders on the limit-up board had soared to 650,000.
At this moment, Alvin had just woken up.
Meanwhile, in a luxurious suite, Justin was staring at his computer screen, feeling ecstatic.
He was thrilled, his mood couldn't be better.
"550,000! 600,000! 650,000!"
"Justin! Justin!"
"650,000 orders! Let's see what that mysterious operator can do now!"
Stanford said excitedly.
Justin smirked, knowing his plan was halfway to success.
"Mr. Ferguson, perfect! We're almost there!"
"In the next few days, StellaTech Group's stock price will definitely hit the limit-up!"
"It's time for us to make a killing!"
"The number of locked orders on the limit-up board has reached 650,000. Even that mastermind won't dare to short the stock now!"
Hearing this, Stanford couldn't help but speak up.
"Justin, you're a genius. We're going to make a fortune this time!"
"When we get our money back with interest, I'll make sure to give you a generous bonus!"
Justin's eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly.
He thought to himself that Stanford wasn't so bad after all.
Even though he was just doing his job, he had put in a lot of effort.
If Stanford was willing to give him more money, Justin would be even more motivated to work for him.
Stanford handed him a cigar.
Justin leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and took a deep puff, exhaling the smoke slowly.
Then Justin suddenly opened his eyes, a greedy smile spreading across his face.
Stanford, seeing Justin's smile, grinned even more wickedly.
The most important thing in the world is money. As long as Justin did a good job, Stanford didn't mind giving him more.
While Stanford and Justin were celebrating, they had no idea that the mastermind they spoke of had just woken up.
They couldn't imagine how badly they were about to lose.
Alvin, still a bit groggy, rubbed his eyes and yawned, looking a bit sleepy.
Seeing Sam and Shirley staring tensely at the computer, Alvin curiously walked over.
"What are you two looking at? Why so tense?"
"Watching a horror movie?"
Sam slowly turned around, trembling as he spoke to Alvin.
"It's not a horror movie, but it's scarier than one."
"Alvin, the number of locked orders on the limit-up board has reached 650,000!"
Alvin raised an eyebrow at the data but said nothing.
"Alvin, what do we do now? If we don't act soon, we're done for!"
"I don't want to lose! Aren't we supposed to beat them?"
"I don't want to see Stanford and Justin gloating!"
Sam looked desperate and furious.
Alvin smirked, a sarcastic look on his face.
"Sam, do you think Justin has already won?"
"The stock market is like a battlefield. Until the last moment, no one knows who the winner is."
"Now, it's time to show Stanford and Justin who the real stock market god is."
"So, Alvin, what should we do now?"
Sam wiped the sweat off his face, eager for an answer.
Alvin stood up, exuding a powerful aura.
Hearing this, Alvin couldn't help but laugh.
Alvin's laughter echoed in the office, his disdainful expression making them uneasy.
Sam and Shirley looked at Alvin, their emotions mixed.
They trusted Alvin, but the current situation was indeed worrying.
"Alvin, are you really confident? Things look pretty bad for us right now."
Sam was actually relieved that Alvin was finally awake.
But the situation was dire.
Shirley nodded, her eyes full of hope.
"Alvin, stop keeping us in suspense. What's your plan?"
"Don't worry! Don't worry!"
"Let me make a call first!"
With that, Alvin quickly pulled out his phone and made a call.
"Mr. Adams?"
"Of course, I know."
"Don't worry!"
"Everything is under control, no big issues!"
"I was just discussing strategies with them!"
Sam and Shirley, hearing this, blinked in disbelief.
Alvin was lying through his teeth!
He had just woken up from a nap.
"Of course, it's true!"
"Mr. Adams, stay calm. I'll get you the results you want."
"It's time, Mr. Adams. Spread the word."
On the other end, Benjamin sighed in relief at Alvin's words.
Alvin was very capable.
Since he said he had a plan, Benjamin felt reassured.
"Alvin, with your word, I'm relieved."
"You have to win this battle!"
"I've bet everything on this!"
"Mr. Adams, don't worry!"
Benjamin chuckled.
"I'll make arrangements right away and spread the word as you said."
Benjamin was excited, eager to take down Stanford and Justin.
If Alvin succeeded, Stanford would be finished.
Benjamin could already picture Stanford's gloomy, furious face.
Alvin nodded, even though Benjamin couldn't see it.
He thought for a moment, then said, "Alright, Mr. Adams."
"But remember, Mr. Adams, spread the news gradually to avoid overreacting the market."
"Alvin, don't worry about such details."
"I'll handle it carefully."
With that, Benjamin hung up.
Sam and Shirley looked at Alvin curiously.
"Alvin, what did you tell Mr. Adams? Did you have a plan all along?"
Sam asked, full of curiosity.
