Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Evan gives her a pair of gloves, and she immediately accepts them, eager to try what she wants first.

“I think I should try the crab meat first,” she said, digging into the sauce and bringing it to her mouth.

“Ahmm, so good,” she murmured, her eyes fluttering shut as the sweet, tender crab meat melted on her tongue, mingling with the tangy spice of the seafood sauce.

When she opened her mouth, she saw Evan was watching her. His lips twisted, and she could see amusement in his eyes. She looked away in embarrassment. Did she lose her composure? Had she forgotten she wasn’t eating alone but with Evan, who is strict and meticulous? He doesn’t like messy things.

“Sorry, I was lost in the taste of the food and forgot my table manners,” she quickly apologized, reaching for a tissue to wipe the sauce dripping on the table.

“It's alright, no stress. Just eat, don't worry about it,” Evan replied immediately, wiping the sauce himself.

“You're not mad?” she blurted out.

Evan paused and gazed at her.

“Of course not. Why would I be? I like seeing you eat casually. You don't need to hold back in front of me, my wife. I'm no longer the boss you used to have. I'm your husband now, and I don't want you to feel like you're being treated like a robot, making flawless actions with no mistakes,” Evan explained calmly.

She glared at Evan and couldn't help but bite her lower lip; she admired how mature he had become.

“You should continue eating, my dear wife, here, let me feed you,” Evan said to her and he got a piece of lobster meat and brought it to her mouth.

She glared at his hand, then at his face. Evan moved his eyebrows as if he was signaling her to open her mouth and accept the food he was trying to feed her.

“Come on, open your mouth, wife,” Evan commanded using a soft tone.

She immediately obeyed and accepted the lobster meat, while still staring at him. She closed her eyes when she tasted his fingers against her tongue.

“Damn!” Evan suddenly curses which makes her stop chewing.

“Why?” she asks confusedly.

Evan looked away. “Nothing, continue eating,” Evan replied which she obeyed.

Shortly, Merri found herself walking towards their portable tent together with Evan, he was holding her hand, as if he was afraid to lose her.

“It's late, should we go in and rest, what do you think? Or would you like us to stay outside for a little bit?” Evan asked her and he stopped walking, so she also did the same thing.

They're not far from the edge of the link. The moon was bright and the stars were shining in the sky, which was a breathtaking view for her to see.

“Can we stay here for a while? I'm not yet sleepy, how about you?” she replied and looked at him.

“I don't feel sleepy, we can stay,” Evan replied, and then he pulled her towards the large stone and guided her to sit down.

Then he sat down behind her, the stone was like a table, it's huge with a wide head, which they can make into a chair.

She closed her eyes as the cold air touched her cheeks. She could help but wish that time would stop, since this moment was the most memorable memory she had ever had in her lifetime.

“Don't you feel cold?” Evan asks her. She gasped when she felt his warm breath against her neck. His arms were around her tiny waist, and she bit her lower lip when she felt something on the cheek of her butt.

“I-I don't,” she replied and closed her eyes firmly.

“I see. But my hands are cold, could you warm them?” Evan whispered in her ear and softly bit it.

“S-Sure, give your hands,” she stammered as her breath became heavy.

Evan's warm body was pressing against her back, and his warm breath was touching her neck, which sent a tingling sensation all over her body.

“I don't want you to hold it, I want you to allow me to use your breast to warm my hands,” Evan replied, and his lips travelled down to her shoulder.

“E-Evan, we're outside,” she reminded him and was about to get away from him.

People might see them doing those things here. She couldn't possibly allow that.

“Shhh, easy. We're alone in this forest, so no one will see us,” Evan reassured her, and even pulled her closer to him, and he sniffed his neck like he was addicted to it.

“But you said you have guards who were watching us from afar to keep us safe,” she reasoned, when she remembered him saying about the people he assigned to guard them.

Evan sighed. “Right, l almost forgot. I'm sorry.” Then he let her go and he stood up, while she stared at him. Then, she bit her lower lip. She wanted to be held by him, of course, but not here.

“Evan…” she whispered his name, the man was looking up in the sky while brushing his hair using his fingers, as if he was trying to calm himself or he was scolding himself for his behavior.

“Yes? I'm sorry, l won't do it again—”

“It's alright, come,” she said and reached the man's hand.

“Carry back to our bed, you can stay there all night if you want,” she added and bit her lower lip.

The man growled.

“Fuck!” He cursed and immediately pulled her and carried her in his arms. She put her hands on the man's neck and rested her head on his broad chest.

Her heart was racing abnormally with excitement for what they would do next. She loves Evan's stamina and his desire to have her, every minute and every time he has a chance to claim her.

“I never expected him to be this clingy and addicted to me,” her subconscious whispered as Evan walked faster towards their portable tent.
