Chapter 77: This One Kneel Made Him Humble

"Ram!"

Roman urged again, "Think about your shares!"

For him, obtaining 30% of the shares was most important. Without equity, where is dignity!

Ramsey's eyes were bloodshot. He clenched his fists tightly. Veins popped on his hands. He bent his legs. He knelt on the ground.

All his calculations and pride in this life turned futile at this moment!

He was no match for Covington. He felt extremely humiliated.

Ramsey bit his lower lip, even biting out blood. His heart was filled with vicious curses. His forehead knocked against the hard ground, quickly swelling up.

He kowtowed three times in a row.

Holland looked at him, feeling no pity for him at all. He had caused the car accident and almost killed Covington. He later humiliated and plotted against Covington, even planning to poison Covington.

Such a person was not worthy of pity at all!

"Enough!" Ramsey's voice was hoarse. He tasted the blood in his mouth.

Daphne cried as she helped him up, "You tortured my son! Covington, you are so heartless! You even calculated against your grandfather!"

Holland stood in front of Covington.

"If he's heartless, he should send you all to jail!" She looked at them indifferently.

Ramsey stared at her and said gloomily, "Please help my grandfather, Holland!"

He was determined to get 30% of the shares!

But Holland didn't want to grant his wish, "I only mentioned bowing as a condition initially, but I didn't say that I must agree once you do it."

She felt that wasn't enough.

Not nearly enough.

"You're so fickle!" Daphne pointed at her and scolded.

Roman stopped Daphne with a stern face and looked at Holland, asking, "Do you have any other conditions? Enough is enough."

Holland said calmly, "I do have a condition, but I'm not discussing it with you but..."

She looked at Morgan and said, "But with you. When my finger heals, I'll come back to discuss the terms with you. I hope you'll have what I want by then."

As a doctor, she had a kind heart, but her kindness had limits. She calculated things very clearly.

"Mr. Covington, Beckett, let's go home."

"Okay."

Covington appreciated her.

He thought she was the most tender-hearted, kindest person, but she turned out to be someone with clear likes and dislikes, a vivid and lively person.

They got into the car. The Rolls-Royce quickly left the crowd.

Leaving the members of the Drakes Family looking at each other with unpleasant expressions.

Holland's words provoked Morgan. He began to speculate on what she wanted, even though he only had 30% of the shares left.

"Grandpa! Don't listen to Holland's nonsense. She holds grudges and doesn't want to cure you! Without Beckett, we can still ask Jennings! People always say, Southern Beckett and Northern Jennings, so I believe Jennings won't be any worse."

A burning anger raged in Ramsey's heart. He had tried every means to kill Holland.

Morgan, pale-faced, sighed, "Southern Beckett and Northern Jennings mean that Jennings won't cross the Atwater River. He declared long ago that he and Beckett draw the line at the Atwater River and will never step into each other's territory."

Jennings had peculiar demands for patients. He refused all patients from south of the Atwater River, regardless of whether they were dying or not. He had no mercy.

The Drakes' Family could only turn to Beckett now, or... Holland.

"Daphne, please take me back to the ward," Morgan said weakly.

Daphne reluctantly pushed him away.

Watching him leave, Ramsey said bitterly, "I can't stand that country bumpkin's arrogance!"

Roman comforted, "The most important and urgent thing now is to persuade Morgan. If he doesn't want to give up the shares, then we have only one way. After all, a quick death is better than a long one."

As long as Morgan died. Naturally, they would inherit his shares.

Understanding Roman's meaning, Ramsey looked at him in shock.

"Dad, he's my grandfather!"

"Ram, we have to do whatever it takes for great things. Are you going to wait for him to give the shares to Covington? What did Holland's last sentence mean? What if she wants the shares? Do you think Morgan will give them to her?"

He will! Ramsey was too sure because Morgan would trade everything for a healthy body.

"Dad, Zane left some special powder. Let's coax Morgan out of the hospital first, and then..." This was the quickest way.

Ramsey succumbed to his ambition and desire. For the 30% of shares, he became insane.

Roman patted his shoulder and said reassuringly, "It's good that you see the light."

As they were talking, they both received a company system notification on their phones, announcing a shareholders' meeting tomorrow.

Roman and Ramsey exchanged a serious look, seeing the gravity in each other's eyes.

"Covington must be well-prepared."

Now was the calm before the storm.

Night fell.

A car slowly drove into the Drakes Family's small villa.

Korbin and Marley stood at the villa's entrance, eagerly awaiting the car. Seeing it, they hurried forward to greet it.

"Holland, take it slow. Let me help you," Marley carefully supported the injured Holland.

"Mr. Beckett Sr., let me carry your things. The guest room is ready. All the bedding has just been washed and sun-dried," Korbin said warmly. She was so excited that even her voice trembled.

This was the living Beckett!

Beckett nodded.

"Korbin, Beckett is tired. Can you take him to the room to rest first?" Holland noticed the fatigue in Beckett's eyes and said with concern.

"Of course! Aunt, hurry! Bring the prepared meal to Mr. Beckett Sr.'s room," Korbin said loudly. She led Beckett to the guest room.

Marley hovered around Holland like a shadow, but no one paid attention to Covington.

"Holland, are you thirsty? Let me pour you some water."

"Holland, are you hungry?"

"Holland, are you tired?"

She was always caring for Holland.

In the end, Covington pulled her away, "Holland needs to rest in her room."

"Okay, then I'll make the bed for Holland." She always found opportunities to be helpful.

Covington looked at her indifferently and said, "Can you let me and my wife have some alone time?"

Marley immediately looked at them suggestively.

"I understand! You're welcome!"

Covington's leg had healed, so he always had other intentions.

Covington led Holland back to the main bedroom. Holland hesitated by the bed, "Mr. Covington, I have my room."

"Holland, with more people at home, we can't separate rooms."

Holland realized she had almost misunderstood.

Covington glanced at her and said, "Take a bath first, then have something to eat?"

"I'll follow your lead."

Covington glanced at her and said, "I'll go fill the bathtub."

Holland watched the fit figure of Covington turn into the bathroom, and soon, the sound of water came from inside.

Her ears turned red.

Outside, it had turned completely dark, and only a wall lamp was on in the room. Holland felt like she was immersed in a dim dream.

Suddenly.

Her phone in her bag started vibrating frantically. It was an unknown overseas call. Holland didn't answer. The caller tried a second time.

After some thought, Holland answered.
