Chapter 88

Ariel's POV

"Are you ready for your first official day as Luna?" mom asked. Mom and I were sitting outside Ciara's, the Pack Member that found her Mate. Tanner, Ciara's Mate from the Shadow Pack, was going to meet us later with his parents.

Brandon and Landon came with us as they said they would. Mom told them they didn't have to, but they insisted. I could feel through our bond they were worried about me for some reason and had the need to protect me. So I told her just to let them come with us. I wondered why they were so worried and decided to ask them later when we were alone.

"Yeah, I am ready," I replied

"Of course, she is ready, mom. Ariel was born for this," Landon said, and we walked out of the car. We went up to the house and knocked on the door. Ciara was the one that opened the door.

"Alphas, Luna Arile, Luna Pam, how can we help you?" Ariel's mom asked

"Do you mind if we talk to you for a moment?" I asked

"Sure, come inside," Her mom said.

Hello, Alphas, Luna, this is a surprise," Ciara's dad said

"We are here because we have something to talk to you about," I said

"Sure. Why don't you have a seat," Ciara's dad said, and we went to the living room. Brandon, Landon, and I sat on the couch with me in the middle, mom sat on one of the couches, and Ciara's parents sat on the loveseat across from us.

"Would you like anything to drink? How about some tea or coffee" Ciara's mom asked. Ciara walked into the living room, and I smiled at her.

"I will take some tea, please," mom said

"How about you, Alphas Luna?"

"I am fine," I said

"We are fine as well," Brandon said, and she left to get mom's some tea. When Ciara's mom came back, she handed mom her tea and sat down.

"I think it would be better for Ciara to tell you why we are here," I said, and everyone looked at Ciara.

"What's going on, Honey," Ciara's mom asked.

"I found my Mate," Ciara said

"What? Who is he? Is he from this Pack?" Ciara's dad asked

"No. He is from the Shadow Pack, and he is the Gamma's son," Ciara said

"How long have you known who your Mate is?" Ciara's mom asked

"For about a month when Tyler turned eighteen," Ciara said

"Tyler and his parents are coming over to talk to you. He wants Ciara to move in with her," I said

"What? Absolutely not. She is too young to move in with him," Ciara's dad said

"Please calm down. I don't want Ciara to do anything she isn't ready for. I think they should get to know each other before she leaves with him. We also need to see what Ciara wants," I said

"Do you want to move in with your Mate, Honey," Mom asked Ciara.

"Not yet. I would rather wait until we get to know each other, but I want to spend time with him. It's hard to be away from him," Ciara said

"I understand. It is hard when I am away from my Mates as well. Even just for a short amount of time. I am sure there is a way you can stay with your parents and also see your Mate," I said

When Tyler and his parent arrived, they talked about what they wanted. Tyler wanted Ciara to move in with him but was understanding when she told him she wasn't ready yet, which made me happy to see he wasn't trying to pressure her. I had a conversation with him about waiting until Ciara was ready before Marking and Mating with her.

When we left, I felt good about everything that happened.

"You did great, Princess," Brandon said as we got in the car to leave.

"Yeah, you didn't need my help at all," Mom said

"I am just happy Tyler and his parents were so understanding and that Ciara's father agreed to let him spend the night on the weekends. He looked like he wanted to kill Tyler when he first walked into the house," I said

Brandon, Landon, and I went to our room when we got home. My phone dinged, and I saw that Laura was texting me.

"Laura wants to go to the mall," I said

"Not today, Princess. Landon and I have a meeting we have to get to. We woudl rather you stay here in the Packhouse. We will take the two of you after school tomorrow," Brandon said, and I looked at him.

"Is there a reason the two of you won't let me go anywhere alone?" I asked, and I could feel from our bond there was.

"We went to talk to Keven in the cell, and he told us some disturbing information," Landon said

"What did he say?" I asked

"He said someone was coming to take over the Pack and to get you," Brandon replied

"Who," I asked

"A rogue, but he told us he doesn't know his name," Brandon replied

"Do you believe him?" I asked

"I am pretty sure he is telling the truth," Landon said

"How would you know that?" I asked

"Because I can be really persuasive," Landon said. I could tell I didn't want to know what he meant by that. I was sure it had something to do with torturing Keven or something.

"We need to make sure you are safe at all times, which means one of us will be staying with you at school," Brandon said

"I get to go first, Angel," Landon said with a smile.

I was worried. Someone was planning on taking over the Pack and wanted me. I was worried the person who killed my mom's family might have found out about me. What if they were planning on using me for evil? Now I was worried about letting the Pack know I was a witch.

"Do you think it's the same man that killed my mom's family?" I asked

"I don't know, but we will find out. And no one will ever take you from us."
