Chapter 64: The Summit

“What do you think about there being another person who is running all of this? Who could it be and how do we find out?” Lumar asked so many questions I wasn’t sure which to answer or if he really wanted me to or not.

“Well let’s get back to everyone and see how everyone is doing. Then we will call a meeting and tell everyone what we know and see if any of them have any idea who it could be. One thing for sure my mother will run right back to whoever it is and give an update to them of what she knows.” I told him

He shook his head as we walked back to the hospital to check on everyone and tell them we are having a summit in one hour. I knew the King and Queen wouldn’t like being told what to do, but I also knew that they wouldn’t fight me on this. Protocol is flying out the window. We have bigger things to be worrying about then their protocol that they want followed. We have someone starting up an organizaion to wipe out all hybrids and anyone who doesn’t think like they do. We don’t know who id running it, only a few people involved. Not much to go on. We we at the hospital and I didn’t realize it until Lumar tapped me on the shoulder. I looked around to get my surroundings in check. Everyone was looking at me like I was sick or something.

“How is Lutin doing?” I asked to get them to relax a little

“He will be able to get out of here in the morning.” Faeberon replied

“That is great news, now I would like to inform all of you that I am calling a summit. Everyone high ranking needs to be there. So inform who you have to King Otis and I am sorry for not following protocol but this is something that can’t wait. We have to act fast.” I announced to everyone and King Otis nodded his head in understanding of why I didn’t do it the proper way in their eyes.

“I need a shower after being in the dungeons talkig to those dumbasses.” I said to everyone. I started to go towards the cabin I had rented when Lumar stopped me.

“Where are you going Ginger?” Lumar asked me

“Back to the cabin where all my stuff is.” I responded to him

“You don’t have to go back, I had all our stuff moved to my wing till you and I make up our minds where to go from here. I also moved your family to the three cottages near the castle so they still will be close. I also made them refund your money since you are my mate.” Lumar explained it all. He had shocked me to no end.

“Thank you for doing all of that for me and my family. We haven’t even mated yet and you treat me like I’m your wife already. That is something we need to talk about as well. When we get a little free time.” I told Lumar

“Anything for you. I feel connected to you some how even with out the mating ceremony. I feel like I can almost hear your thoughts. It’s like there is a buzzing sound but I can’t make it out just yet.” Lumar tried to explain something to me and I know what he is talking about ,but yet I don’t at the same time. We walked down this long hall with portraits lined up down the hall. I found it interesting but didn’t have time to really look at them. We finally made it to the end of the hall. Where there were two large doors. He pushed them open and I walked in. It looked like a condo or something. It was much bigger than my apartment .He took me over to where the bathroom was and the tub looked like a hot tub or a small pool. The shower was a walk in with a stone bench and shower heads all over the place. I couldn’t stay in long we had a meeting to get to. He brought me some of my clothes while I was in the shower. He choose a nice purple and black off one shoulder shirt with skin tight black jeans. I almost thought I was going to the club not to a summit.  I took a quick shower and got dress. While I was finishing up Lumar with his firm tan chest and I just couldn’t look down was getting out of the shower. He had me wet just by looking at him. I thought I was going to have to take another shower. I could hear him laughing at me blushing so hard. He finished up and we both walked to the meeting room or the summit. Whichever you want to call it. They were all there waiting for us to come into the room. Once we were there Lumar sat down and I stood so I could talk to everyone.

“King Otis I do apoligise to who but we really need to get this starte. Lumar and I learned a lot from our tracker friend who is now dead. Tia my mother and the two councilmen were following orders from someone else who is really behind all of this. We all know that Tia was able to get away, which means she will do one of two things. She will stick around to kill me and try to force Lumar into mating her or go back to her boss and regroup so they can figure out another plan of attack. Now that they know for sure that Lumar is my mate, has put you and your subjects in danger.”I explained what we knew so far to everyone in the room.

“We can handle anything that comes our way. So don’t worry about us. We will start a more vigorous training for everyone that is old enough to fight. Starting tomorrow.” King Otis said to his older sons.

“Do we have any idea who may be behind all of this?” Nigel spoke up

“Does anyone have any ideas who it could be?” Sable spoke next

“Those are both good questions, but I would have to say it is either from the old council or someone from the new one that wants more power.” I said

“I will get a list of names sent over of who is all involved with the council today.” Jon Added to the conversation

“Then I will get the old councilmen’s names and where they are now.” Lord Rodrick announced to us.

Then there was a knock on the door. A small young girl walked in with her head bowed to everyone in the room.

“Sorry for bothering you King Otis, but the doctor was asking for Ginger, because her brother is wanting to speak to her and is refusing any more treatment til he sees her,” Then the little girl left without another word.

“I guess we will pick this back up tomorrow, since my twin is in need to talk to me. So please accuse me and you all can continue if you like.” Then I got up and walked out of the meeting with Lumar right behind me.
