Chapter one

I dragged my feet to the door and rang the doorbell earnestly.

It had been a hectic day and I couldn't be more excited that it would end soon. My gaze darted to the cake I was clutching in my chest and I smiled. It was definitely worth sneaking out of the pack house for.

My father had announced my twin sister's marriage earlier today and she had been devastated ever since. I knew it was only a matter of time before he found a perfect match for me too.

It wouldn't matter that I already have a boyfriend. I'll have to break up with him, just like Vickie broke up with her boyfriend today. She was heartbroken.

But there was nothing she or anyone could do about it. It was expected of us as the Alpha’s daughters. The only thing that could save us is if we found our mates. So far, my sister and I have been unlucky in that department.

I have been praying to the goddess to let the mating bond snap between Tony and I so I don't have to meet the same fate as my sister.

When I left my sister's room, I couldn't stop thinking about our cruel fate. I snuck out of our house and decided to visit my boyfriend.

The knots in my stomach were replaced with butterflies as I rang the doorbell one more time, but got no response. I fetched my phone from my bag and called him but all my calls went straight to voicemail. Maybe he isn't at home.

I crouched down and fetched the spare key under the doormat. I opened it and went inside.

The apartment didn't look empty at all. There were clothes and shoes scattered everywhere. I placed the cake on the dining table and picked the clothes up. It took a few seconds before I realized that some of the clothes didn’t belong to Tony. They were ladies clothes and they were definitely not mine. Just then, I started hearing some sounds coming from the bedroom.

“No! It can't be, it can't be,” I chanted in my head as I strode towards the bedroom.

The sounds grew louder but I Didn't want to admit it to myself. I pushed the bedroom door open and the scene made my jaw drop.

Tony was on the bed with a woman completely naked. I stood there as the tears stung at the corner of my eyes but I blinked them away. I wasn't going to break down in front of him. They haven't noticed my presence as they were so engrossed in their ‘activity’. I turned to walk out before they noticed me but collided with the door. The sound seems to get their attention.

Tony's eyes collided with mine and they widened with surprise.

“Babe?” He called.

He still had the guts to call me that after what I just caught him doing. The nerves of this bastard.

“Don't you dare call me that, you fucking cheat.” I yelled at him, my voice breaking as I spoke.

My gaze darted to the girl he was cheating on me with. I recognize her as the daughter of one of the pack’s generals. I didn't know her name but I've seen her a lot of times. She was a big ass-kisser. Vickie and I hated her.

“Really? This is who you're cheating on me with? I cannot believe you, Tony.” I said through the tears and stormed out of the room.

I could hear him call after me but I didn't slow my pace. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I didn't want to stand in the same space as him. I didn't want to do something I would end up regretting.
