Chapter 107: Something seems fishy

After those rounds of sex , we finally headed in the kitchen . We were like new married couples . Adrian helped me prepare the chicken pasta . He chopped while I cooked the chicken first . Throughout the whole moment , I had a smile on my face . I honestly couldn't believe it that this was damn real .

In just the short time l have known him , he has made me happy more than when I was with Mark . Adrian was caring , he kept on moving behind me then watch me as l cooked the chicken. " Soon , be patient big boy " , l giggled as I watched him stare at the chicken . " Am patient , go on and cook " , he huskily whispered as he moved his hands down my hips .

" If you distract me , am ain't going to finish soon " , l murmured before playfully shoving him away . " Okay " ,He nodded his head . At that l prepared it quickly then walked with him in to the living room. .

For the first minutes we were all silent eating . He had his gaze at me through out the time . I continued to eat my food but I knew it that he wanted to say something. " You can speak to me , you know , what is on your mind ? " , Finding it unbearable , l lastly mumbled while stroking his hand .

" We didn't use a condom , l Know you won't have anything and I haven't got anything , l get tasted regularly but that's not what am worried about, just thought that you might end up pregnant " , He murmured while gripping my hand in his . Hearing him a smile formed on my face . We were a bit silly but I wanted to feel him raw .

"Don't worry am on the pill , l have been for three years ", l murmured with a reassuring smile on my face . " Though am honestly not su... ", Before l could continue ,the ringing of my phone distracted me . Hearing it , l instantly stood to grab it . My heart instantly beat more faster when I saw that it was Mark calling .

" Go on ", Seeing me nervous , Adrian murmured before taking my hand in his . " Hello ", l took a deep breath while trying to calm down myself and l did because Adrian was slowly squeezing my hand . ' I have been ringing you all the fucking day , what the hell have you been doing , l want you to go to my office to fax me some stuff over ,l will send you the details ", Without greeting me , he i'mmediately roared out . With my phone on a loud speaker , Adrian also heard him . To make matters worse before I could reply to him he hang up .

" Ahhh .... Adrian ", .

" Don't worry , go and do what he has told you , l have a busy day too", Just as I started , he cut me off in mid sentence. " Does he hate me now , has he realized that am now a mistake", As l watched him stand up , l inwardly mumbled to myself on verge of tears . " Am sorry l kept you this long ", l lastly said while making my way to him .

He gave me a smile which didn't reach his eyes in response . " Adrian ..", Just as he was making it the door , l called him softly . As soon as he turned , l instantly slammed my lips over his . I kissed him with all the love and desire , l had for him . I inwardly knew it that this might be the last time I was going to see him . We kissed for a pretty good time , though it wasn't that intense , it's what I needed . I wanted it badly , to at least recall .

" I have never got to thank you for making me feel wanted , loved and so more ", After breaking the kiss , l whispered while running my fingers through the hair . He didn't respond sooner and with him silent , l rested my head in the crook of his neck then listened to his heart . A man like him is all I wanted but the future had other plans for me .

" You really have to go to the office ", His words pulled me out of my reverie . " I know , have a good night", I uttered out with a plastic smile on my face and after giving me a quick kiss , he walked out of the house.

ADRIAN'S POV .

The moment , l drove to my apartment , l instantly pulled out a bottle of bourbon and sipped it in one gulp . I was feeling annoyed for some unknown reason . Everything with Alexa was amazing but I didn't know what the hell was now making me feel annoyed . " Darn it ", With a loud curse , I made my way to the balcony then slowly drank the night away .

With everything l had in my life , forgetting Alexa was the only problem . l had a hole burning in my heart . I didn't even know the woman that much but she had already placed her self in my heart . I wanted to tell her to leave Mark that ass hole and be with me but then something seemed fishy.

" Am going to demote Mark ", With a loud groan , l gulped the wine then threw the glass down on the floor .
