Chapter 64

"Look at me, Lev!" Sasha commented. Her voice disclosed intimidation.

He locked his baffled eyes with hers.

"You must give up on her, Lev." She demanded him. Her voice echoed rigorously. She then stepped back and picked up the shirt, leaving Lev to reconceive his decision.

At the park.

"So you can't take revenge on them for me?" Asked Elvira. She stood like she was mysteriously judging him.

Leonid licked up his lips, nervous, but nodded with uncertainty. "Yes."

"Then let's meet you tomorrow at the conference meeting." She offered a handshake with a smirk, which had folded plenty of mystery and left Leonid to stand at the edge of a knife.

The next day.

Mr. Fyodor's family members and the important higher-ups were assembled in the meeting room, waiting for the invitee to attend the meeting.

Lev and Leonid stepped inside, earning curious gazes from them.

"We are also an audience," Leonid cleared their doubt and seated left to the chairman position.

To all of their surprise, Lev picked the right side seat instead of the chairman seat.

It was the moment gossibs began to crawl, and rustling of their confusion filled the room.

Thereafter, Elvira entered with the neatly ironed, rich-looking dress that sowed tranquillity in the room.

The fear and conflict rested on all of their faces except Leonid and Lev, who were anxious about which one of them she was going to choose.

She came and stood behind the empty chairman seat. Giving a courageous stare at all of them, she bowed and declared, "Today's meeting is about my wedding, which is compulsory for this chairwoman position."

"Wedding? Did she already choose one of them?" Sasha's mind was disturbed by confusion. As the rush of tension peaked in her head, she observed both Leonid and Lev's disquiet.

Their family members also observed both Leonid and Lev's anxious, drooling faces.

"I choose..." Elvira deliberately trailed her words and enjoyed the curious pervaded atmosphere. Pulling a serious-looking face, she announced, "I choose Lev to be my husband."

Leonid anxiously turned into a thunderbolt. Lev choked up with surprise; with enthusiasm, he precipitated a happy smile while every other family member scattered an instant frown at Elvira.

"Congratulations, Mr. Lev." Higher-ups approached Lev one by one with a smile and shed a consolement for Leonid, whose angry-dripping eyes fixed on proudly feeling Elvira.

"The wedding date will be announced soon. So this chairman seat now has its permanent owner." She declared and got seated in the chair. As soon as she seated, her revengeful gaze pierced Sasha.

Sasha cuffed in annoyance and left the meeting room. Following her, Elena, Laura, and her husband left.

As Leonid's betrayal encountered eyes expecting recognition from her, she turned to Lev and offered the kindest smile, "Don't forget our demand."

Despite he was still undergoing his decision, he nodded firmly, confidently speaking his lie.

"Fallen for his lie already?" Leonid, outraged, kicked the chair aside madly, and his envy-crawling, heavy eyes appeared to be mad at Lev.

"The meeting is finished." Elvira carefreely said and stood up.

"Elvira!" Leonid gripped her wrist and stopped her.

Lev dodged his hand, causing it to release hers, and he warned him, "Behave yourself, Leonid!"

A non-suppressable anger escaped his lips as a great sigh. He rolled his eyes away, visibly anxious, but was standing in a situation where he couldn't take action.

Spilling a smirk, Elvira walked off, and Lev followed her.

Frustrated, Leonid slammed the table hard, muttering, "Pullshit!"

"I will take care of the wedding, Elvira. Yo-"

"I will take care of the company, Lev." She volunterly proclaimed.

Lev forced his smile. "Okay!"

Since Lev flew with enthusiasm, he rushed outside to make up for the wedding.

"One sec, Lev!" She voiced authoritatively, and it spoke for righteousness.

He veered around to her with expecting eyes.

"I hope you will prove yourself. Got it?" She jogged his memory.

Lev nodded with a smile. However, deep inside, he badly wants to protect his sister.

He then left the company happily as Elvira observed him with a sceptical glance.

On the rooftop, under the scorching sun, Leonid was deeply thinking about something.

"What's wrong with her?" He questioned himself, staring at the random place.

"What to do now?"

"Does she still have feelings for him?"

Nothing could help him, but his frustration peaked already. Unable to find the idea, he decided to leave the rooftop.

He stomped his feet inside the chairwoman's room and glimpsed her already involved in work.

"Leave!" Leonid ordered the staff who guided her through the file.

They walked past obeying him as Elvira continued to do the work alone.

He went towards her with an infuriated face and threw those files and papers away. Yet nothing earned her attention. She simply scoffed scornfully at him.

That boiled his anger more.

"What did you demand from him for this marriage?" He queried.

"That's a secret between husband and wife." She answered sarcastically, leaning back on the chair with her legs crossed.

"Stop making reason!" He raised his voice at her. No doubt that scared her. However, she managed to maintain a cool posture.

"I asked him to kill you and his sister."

"Me?" He was interrogated and couldn't believe her. His anger switched to disappointment.

"He agreed as soon as I demanded it. He's so crazy for me. Such a fool!" she enunciated that with a scornful smile.

"You are the fool here, Elvira. You have no idea about how crucial Lev is." Leonid tried to tug about Lev's true self.

"You will see who the fool is." Elvira dictated firmly.

"Is this your final decision?" Leonid asked. He was like giving her a second chance.

"Yes!" She nodded once and was solid with her decision.

Not to delay, a vehement slap landed on her cheek with his fingers imprinted on it. Additionally, it pulled off instant tears from her reddish eyes.

She covered her reddishly bruised cheek, deliberately avoiding his eye contact as he roared near her face, "Then ready to face my real face. I just wanted to go nice. I don't think it will work out if you keep this attitude. You can't choose him as you wish. I'm the one who was born to be with you."

His every word carried the authoritative and righteous. Pointedly, he was more serious about this matter.

A drop of tears dripped down her eyes, and she fell to the floor.

"Remember it!" He resonated in her ear and asserted with a warning tone, "Let him touch you if you dare! I hope you know about me. How selfish I am. I won't let anyone take what's mine."

She bit her teeth and tensed.
