Chapter 255
The two of them stepped out of the bar, and Benjamin's car was already waiting outside.
Samuel was left outside in the cold by Benjamin, and after a few minutes, he sobered up quite a bit.
When Samuel suddenly saw the two people walking out of the gate, he couldn't help but rub his eyes, thinking he was drunk.
'Gloria? What is she doing here? Just now, I mentioned seeing my girlfriend, and Benjamin said I was seeing things. But now, it seems like I really was seeing things, right? Sebastian, who is about to get married, was entangled with Gloria?' He thought to himself.
"Sebastian, what's going on? Is that Gloria? What is she doing here?"
Seeing Sebastian bringing Gloria closer, Samuel couldn't help but question.
Sebastian opened the car door and pushed Gloria inside, glancing at Samuel as he spoke. "Sober now?"
Samuel replied irritably, "After standing in the cold for so long, how could I not be?"
Inside the car, Benjamin noticed the person Sebastian brought out and couldn't help but frown.
"Was it her that Samuel saw earlier?"
Sebastian didn't respond, got in the car, and sat next to Gloria, instructing Benjamin to drive.
"Head to the villa first. Whatever you guys need to do after that, put it on my tab."
Benjamin started the car slowly, "No need, I don't need that little bit of money."
Outside, Samuel, who hadn't gotten in the car yet, saw them about to drive off and felt like they were forgetting about him. He kept banging on the window.
"Open the door! Let me in! Or I'll report you tomorrow!"
Benjamin, annoyed by his noise, stopped the car and let him in.
The car slowly drove away from the bar.
On the way, Benjamin noticed Gloria sitting in the back, motionless, as if she were asleep, and couldn't help but ask.
"What's up with her?"
Sebastian replied in a low voice, "She had a bit to drink."
"Drink?" Benjamin sounded like he heard a joke, "Everyone knows Ms. Russell can hold her liquor. How much did she drink?"
Sebastian glanced at the person beside him, "Not sure, but she shouldn't drink any more."
With that, he took out his phone and called the family doctor, asking him to go to the villa immediately.
"Why not go straight to the hospital?"
Benjamin was puzzled; there were several hospitals nearby, much more convenient than going back to the villa.
Samuel, sitting next to him, chimed in coldly.
"Do you think Ms. Russell can afford to go to the hospital in her current state? Especially with Sebastian accompanying her, headlines are bound to be made again."
Benjamin recalled the recent scandal and had nothing more to say.
Knowing that being together would draw criticism, Sebastian still decided to bring her back...
Gloria, listening to their conversation, wanted to say something but was too exhausted.
Hearing Samuel's sarcastic remark, she smirked self-deprecatingly, turned her head towards the window, and closed her eyes.
The car slowly headed towards the Windsor Villa.
In the private room of the bar, Gavin and Grace had been waiting for Gloria to return for a while.
Grace couldn't help but worry.
"Did something happen? She seemed unwell when she left."
Gavin also found it odd.
He glanced at his phone; the message he sent to Gloria a few minutes ago was still unanswered.
"I'll go check," he told Grace and left the room.
On the way, he called Gloria while walking towards the restroom. The phone kept ringing, but no one answered.
"Ms. Russell?" Gavin reached the restroom door, frowned, and knocked, but there was no response. There wasn't even a sound indicating someone was inside.
Seeing this, Gavin's expression turned serious. A staff member passed by in the hallway, and Gavin grabbed them.
"Did anyone come to the restroom just now?"
The staff recognized him and remembered the woman who came with him. "The lady who was with you came by earlier."
Gavin's frown deepened. "Where is she now?"
The staff seemed to recall something, his eyes darting around nervously. "She was taken away by Judge Windsor."
"Sebastian?" Gavin's eyes narrowed slightly, and he thought, 'What was Sebastian doing here? And why did Gloria leave with him?'
"Are you sure it was him?" he confirmed with the staff.
The staff nodded. "Their private room was right next to yours. I was serving both rooms, so I couldn't have mistaken."
Hearing this, Gavin's expression darkened completely, and he released his grip. "Got it, you can go."
Gavin glanced at his unresponsive phone, adjusted his expression, and returned to the private room.
"How is it? Where is she?" Grace asked, puzzled, seeing him return alone. "Did something happen?"
Grace, who had raised Gavin, could tell something was off from his expression.
Gavin forced a smile. "Nothing, she had something urgent come up and had to leave. She just called me to apologize to you."
Grace was skeptical of this explanation, especially since Gavin's tone was noticeably different from usual.
"Did you two fight?" She looked at Gavin seriously. "She's a good person, but she seemed unwell. You should be more considerate. You're lucky to have a girl interested in you, don't take it for granted."
Gavin chuckled. "Is that how you talk about me? Trust me, there are plenty of women out there ready to marry me."
Grace rolled her eyes. "You know I'm right."
Normally, Gavin would argue back. But today, he wasn't in the mood.
"Whatever you say. It's getting late, I'll take you home." He stood up.
Grace grew more suspicious. At the entrance, Gavin said, "I'll get the car, wait here."
Grace stopped him. "I messaged your dad to pick me up. You go do what you need to do. If it's your fault, make sure to apologize properly."
She thought Gavin had fought with Gloria.
Gavin didn't argue, waiting with her for a while. When his father arrived, Grace got in the car, and they both gave him some advice.
Watching them leave, Gavin turned and got into his car. It was already past nine in the evening. Gloria hadn't responded.
Recalling the staff's words, Gavin narrowed his eyes and took out his phone, finding Sebastian's number.
How could he just let someone swoop in right under his nose? Especially since he brought Gloria here, Gavin couldn't just ignore it.
Just as he was about to call Sebastian, his phone screen lit up. Seeing the name on it, Gavin's frown deepened slightly.
