Chapter 51: NIGHT OF DESIRE

ENZO POV

Diana's smile spread across her face, and she looked up at me, her eyes sparkling with amusement. For a moment, we just stood there, the tension between us palpable.

And then, without warning, I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers. The kiss was sudden, but Diana didn't pull away. Instead, she seemed to melt into it, her lips soft and yielding. The world around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the moment.

The kiss continued as I took her to the bed carefully pulling her gown away slowly before guiding myself into her, being in her was heavenly , her moans was making me go crazy, I have been with other women but she, she was different, she made me feel like  a man

The night was full of bliss as we slept into each other arms

“Mmmhh,” she mumbled in her sleep, her brow furrowing slightly as if she were chasing something in a dream.

I lay beside her, watching the way the morning light danced across her face, soft and golden. Strands of her hair spilled across the pillow like silk, her breathing steady, peaceful. My chest ached in the best way. I had never known calm like this—never known love like this.

“I’m going to keep this woman,” I whispered to myself, more promise than thought. My hand brushed against hers under the blanket, careful not to wake her.

But she stirred, her lashes fluttering. Her eyes opened slowly, wide and filled with sudden alarm, like a deer waking to the sound of a breaking twig.

“Calm down, love,” I said softly, my voice a whisper wrapped in warmth. “It’s just me.”

Recognition washed over her face, washing away the fear. Her lips curled into a sleepy smile, the kind that made time slow down.

“You scared me,” she murmured, her voice rough with sleep.

“I didn’t mean to,” I said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I was just… looking at you.”

She rolled closer, tucking her head against my chest, her body relaxing into mine. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her like she was something precious and she was.

There was a long silence, broken only by the rhythmic sound of our breathing.

“I like waking up like this,” she whispered.

“So do I,” I said. “I think I want to wake up like this for the rest of my life.”

“Wake up like this for the rest of your life?” she said with a soft chuckle, her fingers absently tracing circles on my chest.

“Would that even be possible?” she asked again, this time her voice quieter, as if she wasn’t sure she wanted an answer—or maybe she already knew it.

I looked down at her, those eyes of hers filled with something between amusement and uncertainty. The question hung in the air longer than it needed to. She was testing the waters of something deeper.

“Why wouldn’t it be possible?” I asked, trying to keep my tone light, though I could feel the shift in the mood.

She let out a breath, not quite a sigh. “You know… you have your controversies.”

Her words were gentle, but they landed with weight. I felt it in my chest—the reality she had tiptoed into. My name carried shadows, and she knew it. We both did.

For a moment, I thought about it. About the headlines, the whispers, the baggage. About how people love to remind you of your past just when you're trying to build a future.

But I didn’t want to go there not now. Not when her warmth was pressed against me and the world outside hadn’t yet invaded the peace of this morning.

So I smiled and kissed the top of her head. “We all have a past,” I said, softly but firmly. “But I’m here now. With you. That’s what matters.”

She didn’t say anything right away, just nestled closer, her silence a kind of acceptance for now.

And for now, that was enough.

A quiet knock echoed faintly from beyond the door—just once. That would be the cook. Always on time, always discreet.

“I need to head to my chambers,” I said softly, brushing her hair back from her face as she looked up at me with a sleepy nod of understanding.

“Mhm,” she murmured, her eyes still half-lidded, her fingers lingering on mine for a heartbeat longer.

I leaned down and kissed her forehead—slow, deliberate, as if sealing the moment into memory. She closed her eyes, exhaling gently.

“I’ll see you later,” I added, almost whispering.

“You better,” she said with a faint smirk, eyes still closed.

I stood, reluctant to let go of the warmth we’d built between us.

I went up to my chambers as I sank into my chair, just as I was about to lit a cigar Franco walked in.

“ I have changed the house setting, Carlos won’t know how to infiltrate the house “ he said as I smiled inwardly

“ we still need to get the old one from him though just to be on a safer side “ he added

“Is there any need though ?” I asked inquisitively

“ not much, but we do not need any linkage” he said

“ what about your progress with francesca, anything has she filled you on it yet “ he asked as I nodded negatively.

Just as he was about to say another words the door burst open, as francesca walked in majestically.

“When are we getting married Enzo “ she said as I and Franco looked at her in shock .
