Chapter 206 Encounter

Chapter 206 Encounter

Early in the morning, Victoria arrived at the long-unseen villa.

"Wait here for a moment, someone will come to take you to see the young master soon." The servant looked at her disdainfully and left her there.

Victoria looked around curiously. Over the years, the place had completely changed. It seemed like it had been renovated.

She remembered where the nursery used to be and decided to go see Lucas first. As she walked towards that direction, she suddenly heard some noise coming from a room. It sounded like someone was taking a shower. Was it Lucas?

In a daze, she heard the sound of the door opening and saw Brandon, wrapped in a towel, walking out of the room. Duncan was also there and they both froze when they saw her.

"Who are you?" Brandon asked.

Victoria didn't expect that she had walked into Brandon's room instead of Lucas'.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I went into the wrong room," she said, covering her eyes and turning around to leave.

Brandon's expression turned cold and he grabbed her shoulder. Victoria slipped and fell backwards, hitting the ground with a thud. But, by coincidence, she fell right in front of Brandon's feet. She looked up and saw him towering over her, his face looking both angry and breathtakingly handsome.

He noticed that her position lying down was not quite right, and took a step back, pointing to the door. "Get out of here!" he ordered.

"Yes..." Victoria quickly closed her eyes and shouted as she walked out.

"Wait."

The person behind her called out to her.

She stopped in her tracks.

He looked at her back and suddenly felt something was off. "Who are you?"

Victoria's heart raced. "I'm here to apply for the position of nanny."

Brandon remembered that this was the very ugly nanny.

Indeed, she was very ugly at first glance.

"Hmm, how did a nanny applicant end up here?"

"I...the room was too big and I got lost. I'm sorry, I won't do it again." Victoria apologized in a small voice.

"Yes, because you won't have another chance." Brandon's voice suddenly became low.

Victoria widened her eyes. Did that mean he didn't want her?

No, she couldn't accept that!

She quickly turned around. "Mr. Duncan, I was wrong. I thought I had to take care of the young master here, so I familiarized myself with the room in advance and got lost. I won't do it again. Please give me another chance."

Brandon didn't even look at her and sneered, "I won't give anyone another chance. Get out."

Victoria hurriedly took a step forward.

Brandon's eyes were deep. "You're very bold."

Victoria took a deep breath. "Sir, I heard that the young master has already driven away many nannies. I can assure you that I won't be driven away. I hope you can give me a chance. I will definitely win the young master's favor."

Brandon looked at this arrogant woman. "Blind confidence is not confidence. Win his favor?

Ha."

He felt that what this woman said was simply a fantasy.

"I can bet with you. If I can't win his favor today, I will leave immediately."

Brandon turned around and looked at this woman for the first time.

That ugly face, shockingly ugly, and there was nothing particularly special about it.

"Fine, I'll give you this chance. But I believe you won't last a day." He was too lazy to waste any more time on this blindly confident woman. "Get out."

Victoria breathed a sigh of relief. "Yes, I'll leave right away."

She quickly retreated. This woman made people inexplicably disgusted...

Brandon thought to himself, he didn't know why, but he just couldn't like her when he saw her. Fortunately, he believed that she would soon be driven away by Connor's anger.

After Victoria left, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

This man was not easy to deal with, she knew. Fortunately, he should think that she was already dead, so he wouldn't associate her with Victoria.

However, she still had to be careful. This man was very smart and suspicious, and she had experienced it before.

Just the thought of having to deal with his harsh and difficult personality made her want to sigh. But then she saw Elijah walking towards her and lifted her head, not avoiding his gaze.

Elijah looked at the woman in front of him and had a moment of confusion. He felt like he had seen this person before, but how could he forget such a uniquely ugly face?

"You're here to apply for the position of nanny," Elijah said.

"Yes, Assistant Hayes."

"How did you know my name?" he asked, looking at her.

"I did some research before coming," Victoria replied with a dry laugh.

Elijah nodded. "Alright, well, I don't know if you're aware, but our young master has driven away quite a few nannies. As his personal nanny, your job is to take care of his daily needs, no matter how much he resists you. Do you understand?"

"I understand," Victoria replied simply. She then asked, "What does the young master like to do in his free time?"

"He likes to draw," Elijah answered. Victoria was surprised. Kate was always so loud and never seemed to put much effort into anything, so she never would have guessed that Lucas enjoyed drawing.

"I understand," Victoria said.

"But the master doesn't allow him to draw," Elijah added.

"Why not?" Victoria asked, confused.

"That's something you don't need to know," Elijah said as he opened the door. "Just know that the young master has a bad temper, so be careful."

Victoria took a deep breath and walked in. As soon as she entered, something came flying towards her. Instinctively, Victoria dodged to the side and saw a bottle crash against the wall. Elijah was taken aback and quickly said, "Young master, your new nanny is here. Her name is...". Elijah turned to Victoria and asked, "What was your name again?" Due to the frequent changes of nannies, he had forgotten their names.

"I'm Helen," she smiled and looked towards Lucas who was standing inside, wearing a white pajama, black hair, ink-colored pupils, and a delicate and beautiful face. He was staring at her angrily. Victoria's heart skipped a beat. This was her Lucas.

"I don't want a nanny. All of you, get out!" Lucas glared at the door.

Elijah gave Victoria a "good luck" expression and walked out. Victoria took a deep breath and walked up to Lucas, smiling. "Connor, right? You can call me Aunt Jenkins."

The door closed, and the servants outside looked at each other and sighed. "How long do you think this auntie will last here?"

"I guess one day. She looks too naive and probably won't last long."

"I estimate one hour."
