The day went by so fast but it was a productive day and I loved every minute of buying the baby stuff. I mean I wasn’t there when Nicol was pregnant with Nikki so this was the best day yet for me except off course the day we heard the baby’s heartbeat. We are sitting in the best steak house in Manhattan STK Steakhouse, I’ve always loved the place because of the look inside and how the lightning was places in the oval ceiling. I watched Nicol closely as we walked in and I could see her eyes were also going to the ceiling, it really does make the place different, but off course their steaks are out of this world, I reserved a half-moon booth seating table I wanted to be next to Nicol the whole night I mean I do have plans for tonight and why not have a bit of foreplay before we go home.
She moved into the booth and I went in next to her. “What do you think?” “It’s beautiful and so different especially the roof.” “I know right.” I sounded like an excited child. The waiter came and took our drinks order, Nicol ordered herself a water and I took the best bottle Malbec they have. “You sure you just want water sweetheart.” “A cocktail would be nice.” The waiter was still standing with us, “Can you make her a cocktail without alcohol?” I asked the waiter. “Yes, off course we can.” “Well then sweetheart what will it be?” “A Mojito please.” “I’ll be right back.” The waiter said as he left us.
“So how are you feeling about today?” I asked Nicol “I think we bought way too much stuff.” “I think we didn’t buy enough. I mean we still need a crib, rocking chair, a changing cabinet I can go on and on.” She touched my hand “I know Nicolas but we have to wait I mean we didn’t even decide on a theme for the room yet and we can only do that when we know if it’s a boy or a girl.” “I thought we already did today or weren’t you serious about the butterflies for a girl’s room?” “Oh, I was but were you really serious about Paddington bear for the boys room?” “Dead serious I always loved Paddington bear besides what’s wrong with Paddington Bear, the main colors will be red and blue.” We made a compromised in the store today if it was a girl she chooses the decorations and the theme if it’s a boy I choose and like you heard I want Paddington bear for my boy. “Okay okay I can probable live with Paddington Bear.” She said finally. “I really don’t know what you have against Paddington Bear his so cute.” “Nothing Nicolas I have nothing against Paddington Bear.” I kissed her on the forehead and said “Good.” The waiter came back with our drinks and I ordered for us “My fiancé will have the Ribeye Filet with some fries and I would like the filet & lobster tail.” “And how would you like your steaks done?” “Medium rare both please.” “Thank you, sir,” the waiter said before he left us.
“Oh, I totally forgot to tell you this.” “What?” she asked “I had a visit from Anton this week.” “No, you lie.” She said shocked. “Not lying.” “What does he want?” “He wants my help to get away from Karen’s father and his company he clearly figured out that is trouble with a capital T.” “And what did you say?” “I told him he made his bed he has to lay in it.” “Seriously Nicolas he was your friends once.” “Yes, once but I’m done with him. It’s his own fault he saw dollar signs when he looked into Karen and now, he has to live with his own greediness.” “Don’t you think Karen will come back now that Anton wants a way out?” “Nope apparently she went crying to her dad about me and her father told her there is nothing he can do I outsmarted her at her own game and Anton is a good guy much better than me apparently.” “Oh wow.” “Yes, that is a relieve that Anton is a better guy in someone else’s eyes.” “Nicolas! That was not what I meant.” “I know I just find in funny but I’m happy to.”
“So, we are seriously rid of them?” “We are sweetheart, Anton left my office with his tail between his legs.” “I actually feel sorry for him.” “You are a much better person than me Nicol because I feel absolutely nothing for him not after what he did.” “I know but still.” “Okay let’s forget about them, shall we? Rather tell me something.” “About?” “Is there anything we still have to do for the wedding?” She took out her phone and open her notes app, “Well you need a tuxedo a best man, then JP needs a tuxedo to, Nikki a dress, my dress and we are waiting for the RSVP’s.” “Is that all, did we really do everything else this week.” “We did, that is why we are so tired and it feels like we didn’t see each other.” “Probable true. But at least everything is done and it is smooth sailing from this point onwards.” “Yes, thank God now we have time for each other.” “Funny you would say that because I want a taste of you.” I leaned in and kissed her I devoured her until someone cleared their throat at the table. Nicol pulled away from me “Oh we so sorry.” “No problem mam.”
The waiter said as he put our food down. When the waiter was gone I touched her cheeks. “You are so red, I love the fact that you still blush so quickly.”
