The next morning, we woke up early, we had a flight to catch. Yes, I know the plane won’t leave without us but we still need to stick to the schedule. Danielle and I finished up in the shower and got dressed, while Danielle was busy with her make up, I started to pack the jewelry I bought and my laptop. I called Paul and he came to fetch all the important stuff. When Danielle was finished, she came to me, “Thank you for the best holiday ever, Damon.” “It’s my pleasure next time we are going to a tropical island and we are going to tan and swim in the ocean.” “That sounds great.” “It won’t be long before we take our next holiday angel and I promise next time no work.” “I’m going to hold you to that promise.” I pulled her closer to me and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “Let’s go eat.” “Are you sure the staff is going to pack our stuff?” “Yes, angel stop worrying.” “I’m just not used to it Damon.” “Come” I grab her hand and walked her out of the room before she started packing for us. When we got to the breakfast area they were serving breakfast buffet style. Not one of my favorite ways to get my food it lets me think to much at the foster homes I was in or the shelters but I tried to put those thoughts out of my head and Danielle and I got our food. I teased her “You not going to choose the blood pudding?” “No definitely not.” “But it’s our last day.” “I’ll try it if you do.” She got me there. “No, it’s fine let’s rather leave it.” We took our food and went to sit at a table with a nice view. The view was everything to Danielle. While we where eating Danielle started asking question “When do you think I will be able to start to work with your friends’ company?” “I’ll e-mail him angel but there is no hurry.” “For me there is I want to be an attorney and I want to be your attorney as soon as possible.” “You see us as a power couple angel?” I smiled at her. “Actually, yes Damon, I’m sure we will make a wonderful power couple.” “And what about kids?” I asked her. “I’m still young I’m sure we can wait another 10 years before we start with children don’t you think?” “I’ll be in my 40’s angel.” “Okay we’ll make a plan to have children when you are 39 how does that sound?” “I can live with that.” “Okay then we will be New York’s next power couple angel.” “And just so you know even though we have children I’m not going to stop being a lawyer I’ve work to hard to end my career.” “I would never ask you to stay at home and look after the children angel, if your career is important to you, it’s important to me.” “Thank you, Damon.” We finished our breakfast and found Paul and Liam already waiting for us in the foyer of the Hotel. I went to settle the bill and we got in the Audi. “Is there time to drive past the palace again?” Danielle asked me. “Paul?” I asked him “We can drive pass the palace Danielle.” Paul answered. We drove pass Buckingham Palace and Danielle was taking pictures like her life depended on it. When we passed, I teased her “You think you have enough photos of Buckingham Palace angel?” “Mock me but you could never have to much photos, it’s memories Damon, it’s our first holiday’s memories.” I pulled her over to me and kissed her, she opened so quickly to me. I loved every minute of her. She pulled away from me after a while. “I need to look at the scenery before we leave.” “So are my kisses not good enough?” “God, it is but I’m not going to see this view again Damon.” “We’ll come back someday, maybe bring the kids to see where their mom and dad got engaged.” “That sounds very sweet Damon.” “I’m a sweet guy remember.” “I do know that.” “Just don’t let anyone else know that angel.” We both laughed. When we got at the airport, Liam opened the door for Danielle and she got out I came from behind the Audi, when she looked back at London. “I really loved it, Damon.” “I’m glad you did angel.” We walked on the plane at got seated. The airhostess got us each a glass of champagne. “What are we celebrating?” “To our first vacation together and to our engagement what else.” She looked at her ring again. “I truly can’t believe I’m your fiancé.” “Well, you have the ring to proof it.” “Yes, I do.” We took our champagne and toasted on our engagement. I wasn’t a fan of London but when I see how happy it made Danielle, I was very happy we came. We took off and an hour into the flight Danielle said she is going to lie down. “I’ll join you in a little while angel I just need to get all my fact together for tomorrow’s meeting.” “No problem, Damon.” She gave me a kiss on the cheek and disappeared into the room. I was working through Edcardo’s financials’ when I saw why he wanted to see me one of my guys lost over a million on one of his deals, I would have been pissed of as well, when I look at Ricardo’s portfolio the same happened to him, funny thing is both of their money was invested in the same company a place I’ve never heard off. ‘What the fuck was Luke up to?’ I thought to myself. ‘Is he taking me for a ride is he actually stealing from me and my clients?
