Chapter 16

Nate’s POV:

We laid there for a little while. She was in a giggly mood and it was cute. My thoughts kept going back to last night. I knew that somehow I had pushed the boundaries but she wasn’t bringing it up. Maybe she just didn’t want to bring it up right now.

When she dressed into her bikini, I accompany her to the water. Watching her walk had me getting hard already. I was mentally cursing myself for not taking her. Why couldn’t I just let myself give her what she wanted so badly?

I had no idea why I was waiting, was there something I was so afraid of? I hoped I could let myself give her what she wanted. To be honest I was scared. I was scared of what she could really do. She was still an innocent virgin.

Our afternoon goes by fast and in no time we were gathered around the fire again. Arianna cuddled up against me and I could feel her hand on the inside of my thigh getting me harder every time she laughed. Stacy sighed looking dreamy.

"You guys look cute" she says looking at us. I roll my eyes and Arianna blushes hiding in my neck.

"I don’t do cute, Stacy" I grumbled and she smirked.

"So last night..." she said trailing off and I shook my head giving her a warning.

"Yeah last night..." Tracy steps in and smirks evilly.

"What about it?" I asked and I felt Arianna tense.

"Girls," Kyle and Derek warned at the same time, and the twins giggled.

"Oh god, can you believe it graduation is just around the corner guys?" Arianna speaks up after some quietness. Everyone nods, looking at each other sadly.

"I know" Stacy says leaning into Kyle.

"We have to talk all the time" Tracy says and the girls nod eagerly.

"Where are you going Arianna? Have you made plans yet?" Stacy asks and we all look at Arianna.

"I don’t know"

"Oh come on, you need to have a plan"

"I have a plan"

"Where you moving to?"

"I’m staying here"

"Staying here?" the twins said in horror together. Kyle and Derek laugh in unison and I shake my head rolling my eyes.

"Well yeah, I just got here"

"Don’t you want to leave your parents already?" Stacy asked while Tracy kept shaking her head and looking at Derek shocked.

"I love my family"

"And so do we but we need a break"

"You’ll come crawling back"

"No way!" the twins said in unison causing everyone to laugh.

The whole conversation of what’s happening after graduation past. I didn’t want to talk about it. It would just remind me of the horrible thing I did and shouldn’t have done. I never should have made that bet. Let’s face it, I only wanted Arianna then but now...I wanted to get to know her. And get to know her I did.

I knew everything about her and she knew a lot about me. It scared me to know someone knew so much of me but I trusted Arianna. I least I think I do.

After the long-anticipated camp, we finally found ourselves packing up camp a day later. I didn’t want to leave but I knew we had to get back. Missing one day of school at this stage wasn’t a good idea, we were nearly at graduation.

The whole back into town I kept thinking about the end of year formal dance. I hadn’t asked Arianna yet. And I wanted to ask her, not to just let her assume. I mean I wouldn’t mind but I wanted to ask her. Looking at her in the back seat laughing with Stacy many things fell into place.

To me Arianna glowed like the sun. She stood out from the rest. Maybe I’d been confusing myself. Looking back at the road my stomach tightened. I looked in the rear-view mirror to see her again. I smiled to myself. I’d fallen so hard for this girl.

Too fast, too hard. The rest of the trip back to town I couldn’t stop looking at her. I pulled up at my house following Derek into the driveway. I climb out and turn running into Arianna. She stumbles almost falling back over. I grab her waist pulling her to my chest and then we both froze.

"Touchy, touchy," Tracy giggled, and I realised they were all watching us. I didn’t want to let her go so she’d fall again but I made sure she was up straight then let her go.

"Thanks" she says almost out of breath. Damn you have no idea.

"No worries" I smiled weakly and turn grabbing out her duffle bag. I grab my bag out and head inside behind her.

"I can carry my own bag" she whines stopping in front of me.

"I know"

"Then why won’t you let me?"

"Because I’m nice"

"Nice? Pfft" she rolls her eyes walking over to the kitchen island bench. I drop our bags by the door.

"I can take the bag back outside and let you carry it in" I offered and she glared at me.

"What did I do?" I asked innocently opening the fridge.

"Nothing" she says and I laugh.

After a couple of hours everyone left but Arianna stayed. We were sitting on my couch. I was lying down and she was sitting near my feet with her legs on mine. We were playing COD and I was currently losing.

"This is so not cool anymore. You are cheating somehow," I accused, and she laughed, shooting me again.

"I don’t even know how to cheat"

"Everyone knows how to cheat"

"I don’t. This game is messed up. You go around killing computer people for fun"

"It’s fun...when I’m not playing against you"

"Very nice, Nate. Besides I learnt from you"

"What? I didn’t even teach you"

"I watched you. How you did things or how you moved about in the screen, I watched!"

"You little devil...ha-ha" I say shooting her. She shakes her head throwing the controller on the other couch. The game ends and I start up another one but by myself.

"So have you called your parents yet?" I ask her, glancing her way once before turning back to the game.

"I texted my mum before"

"She cools with it?"

"Yeah and she knows"

"She knows?"

"She said she kind of already knew before it happened"

"Mothers" I said and she nodded laughing.

"They watch you like hawks"

"I know right, it’s annoying"

"Gee I love you too Nate" a voice says above me. We both turn to see my mum standing there dressed formally with her hair in a mess. I pause the game looking up to make sure she was still there.

"Mum?"

"No it’s Jesus" she mumbled rolling her eyes.

"Hey Mum," I greeted again in a cheerier tone.

"Hello Nate" she says rolling her eyes again.

"Hi" Arianna says smiling at my mum.

"Hey sweetie, how’s life across the lake?"

"Pleasant"

"Nate hasn’t been too harsh has he?"

"Mum" I whined and she shook her head focusing on Arianna.

"Actually no, we’re...we’re kind of going out now"

"Going out? Damn I knew you were a guy Nate but I didn’t think you’d have the balls" mum says laughing as she left for the kitchen. Arianna laughed standing up.

"Mum!" I yelled grumbling curses as I stood up chucking the controller on the couch and turning the TV off.

"Have you had dinner yet?" mum calls as we walk into the kitchen together.

"No, we haven’t" I answered and mum yawned nodding.

"What do you feel like? Chicken or beef?"

"Let me cook mum"

"I want a house so no"

"Mum, I’m a great cook" I whined while Arianna giggled moving to sit on the stool.

"No you aren’t sweetie" mum taps my cheek turning to open the fridge.

"Fine then, you cook dinner and I’ll go ravage my girlfriend"

"You do that"

"Ravage?" Arianna asks at the same time. We both looked at her to see her blushing madly. I smirked grabbing her by the waist and pulling her to my room. Mum laughed telling me she’ll call out when it’s ready.

We got to my room and Arianna moved jumping onto my bed. I sat down next to her and she threw her legs on my lap staring at the ceiling.

"Do you always speak to your mum like that?" she asked and I could still see her blush lingering.

"Most of the time"

"Most of the time?"

"Most of the time"

"I’m surprised she sticks around. Living with two hormonal teenage boys is not healthy"

"She doesn’t mind as long as we’re getting some"

"Getting some? I thought you were keeping me innocent?" she asked almost hopeful but I shook my head. She sighed staring at the ceiling once more.

"I am"

"So how are you getting some?"

"You know the guy doesn’t always have to experience it to get something out of it"

"So you’re feeding off a girl’s screams and moans?"

"You could say that"

"Do you always think about sex?"

"What do you mean? I’m a guy for god’s sake" I scoffed and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course you do"

"Why are you asking me this? You think about sex too" I teased and she giggled when I dragged my hands teasingly up her legs and back.

"Honestly?"

"Honest is what we want"

She sat up on her knees and turned me to face her and she knocked the breath out of me. I found myself flat against the bed being kissed so fiercely I lost my train of thought. She pulled back and left me wanting more. I blinked looking up at her.

"What do you think?" she asked straddling my waist.

"I have no idea what goes in your mind anymore" I said tucking some hair behind her ear.

"I think you do" she says ruffling her hair and I cringe growing harder. She looked like a goddess sitting on me, untouchable but screamed to be touched.

"I do huh?" I asked caressing her hips with my hands.

"Yeah" she said in a shaky breath moving her hips.

"You know it won’t happen" I said and she opened her eyes staring at me.

"What won’t happen?"

"I’m not taking your innocence"

"Fine then...not tonight but you have to promise me something?"

"Depends on the promise?"

"On prom night you’ll finally take me" she purred in my ear sending shivers through my body.

"Prom night?" I asked thinking back to what I’d been debating about in the car the whole way home.

"Yes, now promise me?"

"What if it’s not the right moment?"

"Nate you aren’t getting out of this" she warned pulling back to look in my face.

"I know" I whispered thinking about how I was going to ask her. Now was I perfect time, wasn’t it?

"Hey Arianna?" I asked after a little while. She was now resting on my chest, listening to my heartbeat, which was beating a little faster than normal. I tightened my arms around her gently but loosened them.

"Yeah?" she said in an almost yawn.

"Will you go to prom with me?"

"What?" she asked pulling back to look at me.

"I said will you go to prom with me?"

"Of course I will dummy" she smirked after a little while. I breathed a sigh of relief thinking maybe she’d been rethinking it all. She got comfortable again and I started drawing little patterns on her back just loving the closeness.

Arianna’s POV:

The time was creeping past us. Days ending faster, weekends flying by and graduation fast approaching. It was only days away and I couldn’t wait. Nate had been getting a little touchier, and I certainly wasn’t complaining.

Though he never let me touch him, I was so annoyed. The twins kept saying how many days until graduation but I was counting down the days until prom, which was only two days away. My stomach tightened at the thought and I peeked through my lashes.

I was lying across Nate again. He was sleeping peacefully and I smiled kissing his bare chest once. Could I have asked for anything more? Nate didn’t want me for sex. He genuinely wanted to know me. And know me he did, he knew almost everything about me and I knew almost as much of him. To me he was the perfect definition of what women want.

He was handsome, caring, a great personality, easy to get along with and sex wasn’t constantly what he was after. Even after all the offers I’d been giving him. I wanted to be with him, to seal the deal. I never wanted to be with someone so much, not even Marcus.

Marcus. I hadn’t heard from him in a while. I wondered what he was up to. Did he still want me? Did I still want him? The answer to that was a big no. I wanted Nate and I wanted him for forever. A couple of minutes later I felt his arms tighten around me. I smile looking up at him.

"Good morning" I said kissing his jaw.

"It is now" he said and I laughed.

"Guess what?"

"What?"

"Two days"

He tensed but relaxed a second later. I frowned. Didn’t he want this? Please tell me he still wanted me. I don’t think I could live with rejection.

"You’re counting down?" he asked into the silence and I nodded resting my head on his chest.

"Yeah"

"Why?"

"I have nothing better to do" to this he laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"You’re too cute" he says pulling me up to face him. I move my legs so there on either side of his waist and I kiss him.

"And Ri?" he asks when I pull away for breath. I close my eyes enjoying the feel of him.

"Yeah?" I asked breathlessly.

"I can’t wait either, so don’t think—"

"I wasn’t"

"Yes you were. I know you Ri"

"And I know you Nate"

"We should be focusing on graduation"

"Why? It’s just a big fancy thing to say you finished school, now go and get into the big world" I cried dramatically and he laughed shaking my body against his. I bit my lip and stared into his eyes.

"If you say so"

"But it is"

"At least we’re doing it together"

"True, true" I nod joking and then I pull a face. He laughs shaking his head.

My stomach tightened as the twins dragged me away from Nate’s boat. Next time I see him, we’ll be getting ready to go to prom. I pouted almost begging Nate to stop them. But he didn’t. He stood there with Kyle and Derek smirking.

"Don’t let them take me" I said and Stacy laughed slapping Tracy who giggled. I raised my brows but they shook their head.

"Four short hours Ri" Nate says shrugging.

"It’s too long" I whined.

"You’ll have fun. I’m sure the twins will see to that"

"I don’t want to have fun"

Kyle and Derek burst out laughing and I eyed them all. What was going on? Did they know something I didn’t? Nate glared at them and they went quiet.

"But you will anyway, I’ll see you soon"

I nod but pout anyway. Kyle and Derek climb back into the boat and the twins head back to their house. Nate gave me one last looking before grabbing onto the boat to get in.

"Wait" I called jogging forward. Nate let go of the boat turning to me questioningly.

"Yeah?"

I didn’t answer him. I pulled him to me and kissed him. He kissed me back almost as strong and I leaned back, he came with me, and he pressed himself against. After a while, I started to hear whistles, and then someone yelling for us too “detach.” I pulled away laughing and noticed Stacy shaking her head.

"That gives me a reason to look forward to tonight" Nate whispered in my ear. I bit my lip looking up at Kyle who was fluttering his eyes and lifting his foot up. Derek slapped his arm and they laughed. I rolled my eyes, immature.

I kiss Nate once more, a quick peck, and then watch them leave. I turn back and follow the twins into their house. I was collecting my dress, which they had chosen, and they were doing my make-up. After that I’d be going back to my house where mum was going to do my hair and then we’d have pictures and stuff. But in the meantime, we were just going to be hanging out.

"Stacy, do we really have to do this?" I whined after she finished attacking Tracy with a face mask. I was next and I seriously didn’t want one. I looked fine, didn’t I?

"You ain’t getting out of it" she said smiling wide as she turned to me. I sighed bothering not to fight with her. I just let her do it.

"So...something tells me prom’s going to special for someone..." Tracy says and Stacy coughs. I close my eyes relaxing as the mask started spreading my face.

"I’m scared, now that I think about it" I whispered finally letting myself confess to them. I truly was worried now. What if it hurt too much? What if Nate didn’t like it?

"There’s nothing to be scared about"

"I don’t know..."

"Look as you know Stacy and I aren’t virgins and we haven’t been for a while but if you really trust Nate, then it’ll be fine"

"I know but I’m still worried"

"About what?"

"Come on, you can tell us" Stacy joined in and if the green mask wasn’t already covering my cheeks they’d see me blush madly.

"Are you worried he won’t enjoy himself?" Tracy asked after deafening silence became too much. I breathed out, relaxed I didn’t have to say it but I quickly sucked in another breath.

"Y-yes" I stuttered the red deepening in my face.

"He will, Ri. Trust me; Nate doesn’t usually wait around for girls so from what I see you must be something precious to him. He’s waited this long, it’s...it’s like...Stacy help"

"It’s like...like cake...yes cake. Do you have a favourite cake?" Stacy asked and Tracy laughed and I grinned almost laughing.

"Caramel mud cake" I answered still trying to work out where she was taking this.

"Right so you have some now and then like say..."

"Oh right I get it. Two months down the track or something you have some more...and it’s better than it was before" Tracy finished off for her sister and then both laughed a little. I raised my brow thinking how the hell they came up with that metaphor.

But believe it or not but it made sense. So by Nate not sleeping with anyone in such a long time, finally getting some would make it better than before?

"Okay I think I get it" I answered as the laughter died down.

"We can come up with another one? Maybe a better one, better to understand" Stacy suggest but I shook my head.

"No, the first one was fine"

"But to tell you the truth, Ri...it does hurt" Tracy said and I think Stacy hit her because I heard a thud and then someone snarling and whimper.

"I’m not stupid Tracy; I know it hurts the first time"

"Oh good."

"I’m not completely uneducated"

"Okay. So um this may be awkward but I’m going to say it anyway...foreplay doesn’t hurt" Stacy says and I rolled my eyes.

"I know"

"How?!" they both asked shocked, getting some secret message I had no idea I’d put into it.

"Um...well..."

"He’s already gone down on you hasn’t he?" Stacy asked "Oh my GOD! You know I always wondered what Nate would be like..."

"Tracy" Stacy hissed and I laughed hearing another thud.

"What? It was when we all first met but now I have Derek and I’m happily satisfied"

"Yes, keep telling yourself that" Stacy says and I roll my eyes as they stat bicker like old ladies fighting over who won the bingo really.

Someone shook me and I jumped up blinking as I looked around the room. Stacy raised a brow and Tracy looked exactly the same but looked as though she wanted to laugh.

"Why were you arching your back? It was creepy" Stacy asked and Tracy winked. I blushed madly remembering the dream. Nate had been almost ready to take me but then I woke up. I guess that explained why I was arching my back.

"...b-bad dream?" I asked curiously and they laughed together after Tracy whispered something in her ear. I rolled my eyes sitting up and swinging my legs off the bed.

"It’s been half an hour. You can wash your face," Stacy said after her fit of giggles. I nod sighing. Tracy joins me in their bathroom.

"So I’m guessing the dream was...one of those dreams?" she asked dipping a cloth in the sink water while I jumped up on the bench.

"Yes" I admitted blushing. She smirked ringing the cloth out and then started wiping the left side of my face.

"Damn I want to know every single detail tomorrow"

"But we’ll be at graduation"

"He better get you there on time"

"It doesn’t start until lunch time"

"Exactly. Trust me, Ri, you’ll definitely want more. I know I did"

"Oh my god"

"What? It’s amazing"

"You are definitely a sex addict"

"It is addictive yes"

"How addictive exactly?"

"Depends on your guy"

"How?"

"Whether he’s rough and hungry or he’s passionate and loving. Oh but trust me Nate’s definitely in the second category"

"And how do you get him out of it?"

"How do you know you’ll like it rough?

"Ugh eww! No, that’s not what I meant."

"Okay, I know what you mean. If it makes it easier every guy has their own category. Sometimes you have to make them into something..."

"Have you?"

"No, Derek is absolutely fine the way he is. Besides, they always say you can’t change who people are, but you adapt to love them for it."

"So why did you tell me sometimes you can change them?"

"I said that?"

I shake my head and listen to her whole safe sex talk while she cleans my face of the mask. At least it wasn’t heavily awkward, not even when Stacy walked in and helped her. I just sat there remembering how Nate treated me. I think I started zoning out because Stacy started clicking in my face.

I snapped out of it and then both grinned at me. I rolled my eyes jumping off the bench and heading back into Stacy’s room. Stacy had changed her room around placing make up in certain places and I grumbled as I sat down and they both started attacking my face.

This was going to take a while. I glanced at the clock. It was only three o’clock. I sighed thinking that just in six short hours I can finally have my way with Nate.
