Chapter 76

Jacob's POV

“Jacob, please don't bother Sophia yet!” Rachel replied.

I took a breath. When I met Sophia, I couldn't hug her.

I felt frustrated because I couldn't take Sophia home. I just saw her walking further away from me. Ah, what should I do?

"Jacob, you still have to be responsible for your child!"

A woman's voice suddenly broke my concentration. I turned around, the woman was Aprilia. “Why did you come here again?” I snapped.

“Hm, this is because you asked me to have sex at that time. There is no other obvious reason you should be responsible!” Obviously the woman.

"Shut up! OK, if the child you are carrying is mine then I will be responsible for the child you are carrying. But I won't want to marry you. Clear?" I glared at Aprilia.

"Well, you can't do that! If this is your child then you should marry me too! What will be the status of our children if we get married, huh?” Aprilia replied.

"You go away! My head is dizzy now."

I moved from my place. I feel annoyed if I keep seeing women who keep demanding that I marry them.

For now, maybe I'll let Sophia have some time to herself. At least I already know where she is. But I wouldn't want it if I had to divorce her. That will never happen. I don't want to lose the woman I really love.

I chose to remain silent in the apartment. That same day I rented an apartment there so I could be closer to Sophia and I could keep an eye on her.

Sophia hasn't done anything outside Rachel's apartment all day. She is still hanging in there. I installed additional surveillance cameras that no one would know about. Because I use a kind of sticker which is CCTV. Not only outside Rachel's apartment, but I have ordered my men to also stick it inside Rachel's apartment. I'm sure no one knows if there is a camera in the form of a sticker.

Sophia looked alone in there. Because Rachel just left her. It could be that Rachel has to take care of her baby so she has to leave Sophia alone.

But I heard that tomorrow Sophia will go to court to file for her divorce from me. Of course, this makes me feel hurt. I can't imagine if I had to part with the woman I love so much.

If only time could be turned back I wouldn't have brought Aprilia to chat in a cafe. I will take her to the hospital to treat her wounds. After that, I will leave her there. But I can't repeat what happened. Everything has happened and there are no more regrets.

Now I have to fix what I can fix. I will go to court so I can slow down or cancel my divorce from Sophia. Because of course, she will sue me for divorce.

***

The next day I saw Rachel had come to the apartment to pick up Sophia.

"Sophia, I have prepared a file for you. I have also hired a lawyer to accompany you there because I cannot go with you. My child is sick. I took the time to come here for a moment to give this to you," said Rachel while giving the file to Sophia.

“It's okay, Rachel. You have helped me a lot. I don't even know what it would be like without you," replied Sophia.

"It's clear that I can stay with you. Are you ready? Later, your lawyer will pick you up at exactly 10 o'clock. There's still an hour for you to get ready," explained Rachel.

“Okay, Rachel. Thank you very much. I hope your child gets better soon, okay?" Sophia replied.

I have to prepare too. At least I have to make sure that Sophia is with someone who is really good.

At exactly 10 o'clock Sophia was waiting in the apartment lobby. I still follow where she goes. A man came who I thought was the lawyer Rachel was referring to.

After chatting for a while, Sophia left with the man by car. I immediately followed where he went. I along with Michael followed them from behind.

They are indeed headed to court. Of course, they will take care of our divorce. But that can't happen. It only took a moment to get to court but the car carrying Sophia turned in the other direction. I'm starting to feel anxious. I asked my driver to approach the car. I started to worry that something bad happened to Sophia.

They headed to a place far from the city. I'm getting increasingly restless. The road can only be passed by a car. I couldn't get ahead so I could stop them. But, I can not. I ended up pressing the horn continuously. Maybe they would stop. I keep trying to get closer to them. I asked my driver to hit them from behind. I think that could stop them in their tracks.

Even though I had several collisions, even though the front of my car was wrecked and their rear car was also wrecked, they didn't stop their progress. If I hit them hard enough I'm afraid something bad will happen to Sophia. I have to patiently wait for the right time.

“In front of you is the beach, sir. The cross-coastal route may be a bit wide," explained Michael.

“Do it quickly!” My orders.

It's true what Michael said, we had already reached the beach but it was passable. The road is quite wide. I can also overtake their car. I can finally stop them. I immediately got out of my car.

“Get down, you guys!”

I broke into their car and a man who I had seen earlier got out to meet Sophia. "What's the matter, sir?"

“What are you saying? Why did you bring Sophia this far? What did you do to her?” I asked threateningly. I feel very fed up.
