Chapter 67

Jacob's POV

“Of course, Sophia. I really mean all this.”

Sophia still looks devastated by the loss of her fetus. But as much as possible, I continue to strengthen her so that she remains confident that none of this is her fault.

One month passed. The doctor said that I had completely recovered. Likewise with Sophia, who was said to have had no complaints of illness at all. Even Sophia is ready to get pregnant again.

According to the doctor who treated Sophia yesterday, medically a woman's body can ovulate again or release eggs around 2 weeks after a miscarriage. Not only that, it is also safe for a woman to get pregnant again after 2-3 repeated menstrual cycles. However, pregnancy is not just a matter of physical readiness.

I'm not forcing Sophia to get pregnant again. I don't know if she still feels traumatized or something else. What is clear is that I want to prioritize my wife's sanity first rather than thinking about getting pregnant again. Because to be honest, Sophia's pregnancy yesterday meant that you weren't planning to get pregnant.

Sophia did look a bit quiet since before the miscarriage. But she served me well like a wife. But I still helped her by bringing in a housemaid who could do all the household work. I couldn't bear to see Sophia doing all that.

I know that Sophia looks fine, but I know that she is still hurt. Today I also want to give a gift to her.

"Ma'am, there are guests who want to meet you," said the housemaid to Sophia.

"Who? "If it's not that important, just say that I'm not there," Sophia answered while sitting on the bed.

“Maybe it's important. Come on, let me take you!" Take me.

Arriving in front of the railroad door, a red car. Well, that car is the same car as Sophia's before. I'm sure she will be happy. I was about to clap my hands but I heard Sophia sobbing.

“Sophia, are you okay?” I asked then I hugged her. I let her cry first before I invited her to talk.

Sophia outlined her hug. “Did you buy this for me?”

I nodded. "Yes, mother to you, Sophia."

"Sorry, I can't accept your gift. If I use this car, I will definitely remember the accident that happened to my parents. How can I get through it all?" Sophia asked with tears in her eyes.

I also wiped my wife's tears. The wife I love so much was apparently traumatized by seeing that car. I ordered my men to exchange for another car. I didn't force Sophia to accept my gift. It's okay, for me it's not a problem.

The next day a smaller, gray colored car arrived. This is much different from yesterday.

A supercar with very limited units. I don't mind the price issue. This exotic car from Italy is equipped with a 6,500 cc engine with a V12 configuration.

I think this sports car will keep Sophia entertained. I don't need to explain in more detail and need approval from Sophia. In fact, I've never owned this sports car before. But at least I can see that this car already belongs to Sophia.

"Jacob, why did you buy this car?" Sophia asked.

"Well, you didn't like the car yesterday. So I chose this one, so I hope you will accept my gift," I answered.

“Hm, I'm sure this must be expensive, right?”

“For me, you are more expensive than anything. I just want to see you smile like before, Sophia. I don't want to see you sad forever."

I hugged my wife again. I feel so calm when I hug her.

"But what if I don't accept this gift from you either?" Sophia asked, still in my arms.

"Well, I will sell it again and buy a new one until you accept my gift," I answered.

"Okay, I accept it. But if I have received it then where am I going to use this car, Jacob?"

Sophia's question does sound a little funny, but yeah, it's true. I couldn't answer because I also wanted to laugh.

Suddenly Sophia's cell phone rang, making my concentration decrease a little.

“Hello, who is this?” Sophia asked when answering her phone.

Her face changed slightly. I don't know what was being discussed with the person on the other end of the phone.

"Okay, I'll be there soon," Sophia answered then hung up the phone.

“Jacob, can we use this car now? Someone called me. I'm going to meet her. We'll talk later as we walk. Do you mind?" Sophia asked.

"Of course not. Let's go!"

Sophia's face has been beaming ever since. She seems very cheerful and I don't want to worry too much about what makes her happy. But what is clear is that I feel very relieved to see her cheerful again.

"This car is comfortable, isn't it?" Sophia said.

Even though it was going fast, this car didn't feel like it was winning.

We arrived at a restaurant. I'm still curious about who Sophia will actually meet.

"Welcome Mrs. Sophia," said a woman who welcomed us. "Well, let's just talk about our work contract, okay? So according to what I said on the phone earlier, if you are going to be our newest model with the combination of clothes you were wearing at that time, we are interested in recruiting you to be our next model. Moreover, your body posture is also appropriate. If you are willing?"

I still don't understand what Sophia is talking about. “Sophia, what does all this mean?”

"Jacob, they recruited me to be their newest model. I will do a photo shoot. They apparently saw me wearing clothes when I was still with Daniel at dinner. "Yeah, even though I don't have that dress anymore," explained Sophia.

I smile. "Oh, I see. If you really want it, go ahead! I support you."

Sophia looked increasingly happy. She then entered into a work contract but I have also read all the work contracts with Sophia.
