Chapter 65
Sophia's POV
Jacob said there were no comorbidities. He exercises diligently and also eats healthy food.
Therapy will take place routinely in several sessions. In the acute phase, therapy will be carried out to reduce swelling, and pain after the procedure, exercises to maintain muscle strength, and other necessary exercises. In the sub-acute phase, therapy can be carried out for stretching muscles, a wide range of motion exercises for joints, reducing pain, and increasing muscle strength. In the chronic phase, the necessary exercises will be carried out to return to the set goals.
In between Jacob's therapy, I talked to the doctor who specifically treats Jacob.
"Doc, are there any risks to my husband's recovery?"
“All actions have risks and side effects. For example, pain, soreness, or discomfort in the area of the body receiving therapy. The patient's health condition, age, daily habits, and activities also influence the response to therapy. The patient's body will compensate after routine therapy. Patients need to tell them things that could affect therapy, for example, if they are taking certain drugs or supplements. Likewise, if you have allergies or are undergoing other medical therapy. Communication is very important between doctors, therapists, and patients who will undergo therapy. "Symptoms felt before, during, and after therapy can be a consideration for doctors and therapists to change, add to therapy, and assess the patient's level of progress," explained the doctor.
I tried to understand because of course this was for Jacob's good in the future. I promise to be loyal to accompany him.
"Apart from that, doc, for example, after finishing, is there any other treatment for my husband after therapy?"
“Patients will receive treatment guidance and medical advice after undergoing therapy. These guidelines and suggestions need to be adhered to so that the rehabilitation process runs as expected. Patients are usually asked not to exert too much force on bones that have just received therapy for some time. Patients may also need to schedule a consultation with a medical rehabilitation doctor to assess the progress of recovery on previously broken bones. Based on this assessment, the doctor will determine the success rate of physiotherapy and occupational therapy and what actions need to be taken to help improve better.”
I'm happy because the doctor gave me an overview. At least Jacob's broken bones can heal. I'm optimistic that Jacob can return to his daily life. Starting all over again.
I think Jacob is a great man and husband. He has prepared everything. He always tries to be the best for me. I am very grateful to be able to marry him. Indeed, I need time to be able to prove all this. And Jacob also proved that what he fought for would bear fruit too.

A month later. During that time Jacob and I stayed in the hospital. Even though he has to undergo therapy every day, he also continues to work. I, who just stay quiet, eat, drink, and sleep here, am quite bored. I don't have any other activities to do anymore. Just today I came home from the hospital. My house looks quite dirty and has a lot of dust. But at that time several house cleaning services also appeared. Apparently, Jacob had prepared it all.
“Sophia, you must be tired, right? You better rest!” said Jacob. He is indeed well and can walk. But not completely normal yet. He still had to undergo therapy several times to restore his broken leg. I couldn't bear to see him but he continued to fight to recover. This makes me enthusiastic about living too.
I headed to my room. I lay down on my bed. Very comfortable. Even though I was in the hospital to look after Jacob, I also got VIP class facilities, but I still think the most comfortable thing is in my own home.
"Jacob, thank you because you have strengthened me. "You really deserve to be my hero," I said.
“In fact, I am strong because of you, Sophia. You must have been tormented at my ex-mother-in-law's house, right? I did tell my men to look for you but they had difficulty. But the crime will definitely be detected. "So I can only save you," replied Jacob.
I smiled upon hearing those words. "Thank You."
I was about to take a shower because my body felt very sticky and went straight to the bathroom but suddenly Jacob said, "Sophia, there's blood."
Suddenly I looked back and it was true that there were bloodstains behind me and I looked in the direction I was carrying and I immediately fainted. There was a lot of blood coming out from under me even though I didn't feel anything. “Jacobs!” I immediately felt weak.
Jacob asked his men to carry me to the hospital. Jacob still can't walk on his own. I don't even know what happened to me. I was immediately taken to the hospital. I received treatment while conscious and I still didn't feel anything.
"How is the condition of my fetus, doc?" I asked tremblingly. I dared to ask because I didn't want anything bad to happen to me and the fetus in my womb.
"Just a moment, ma'am, let's check first." The doctor's answer made me full of hope that it could be a good thing.
But the doctor came out without talking to me first so I started to worry. I tried asking the nurses and they didn't want to answer because they thought the doctor was the one who had a hand in answering the questions.
The doctor came back into the room where I was being treated. A nurse gave me an injection. Not long after, I became sleepy and my head felt dizzy. There are no other shadows other than black shadows.

Jacob's POV
My condition is somewhat better but I can't walk like before. I still have to do some therapy. Sophia's fate was truly unfortunate because of the crimes of her ex-husband and their family.
