Chapter 49
(Juliette's POV).
Agatha looked very surprised when she heard my request. Her face grew deathly pale with anxiety and fear. I could feel what she was feeling. Our position is equally unfortunate. If she does it, she might be doomed.
But I might need to give it a try because I don't want to end up being Xander's hostage all my life. I don't love him and I never will. Because the only man I love, even though I hate to admit it, is Damian.
"I want to escape from here, Agatha. Can you help me?" I repeated my question. I nervously waited for her answer.
"Juliette, that's..."
"I'm not going to force you. I know it's going to be hard on you too because Xander might hurt you..."
"You want to go?"
"Yes," I said in a low voice. I looked at Agatha, who looked uneasy.
Agatha was silent. She seemed to be thinking about my request. But I couldn't force her either.
"Agatha..."
"I'll try it," she said suddenly. I widened my eyes in surprise. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It even took her a moment to think and help me.
"Are you serious? But you could get into trouble," I said in a doubtful tone.
"I know. But I trust Sam more because she will always protect me and will never let me hurt her," Agatha said.
I squeezed Agatha's hand tightly. I didn't know how to react, but I was really grateful that she was willing to help me. I will never forget her kindness and will repay her someday.
"Agatha. Thank you!" I exclaimed as I hugged her tightly. "I swear I will repay you," I whispered.
"No, Juliette. I'm doing this to make amends. And I'll try to help you get out of here." She released my embrace and looked at me with a serious expression. "This Sunday, Xander and Sam are leaving. I don't know where they're going, but we can use the time for you to escape from here," she informed me.
"Thank you, Agatha," I said, again.
I was a little relieved to feel that there was a chance for me to get away from Xander. It only took two days to wait.
"I'll let you know," Agatha said, "and Xander told me to keep you company while we go out. So, I have an excuse to meet you. They won't suspect us."
I nodded in understanding. "I understand. I'll wait to hear from you."
I hugged Agatha back for a long time. That night, we talked about many things. I felt guilty for what happened to Agatha after she told me everything. Also when Damian forced her to flirt with Sam so Sam ditched me for her. But I don't feel angry anymore. I have also forgiven Agatha because she didn't do it intentionally either.
I prayed for her and Sam, hoping that they could live happily ever after and not be separated by anything. I hope her love story is not as bad as mine. I pray for her from the bottom of my heart.

Two days later, Agatha informed me. She came straight to me as soon as Sam and Xander left the pack. It seems she had an important job because Agatha said that they would only be back the next day.
"Are you sure they won't notice us?" I asked Agatha.
"Don't worry. I've told them that I'll take care of you and make sure you don't run away. But I am not sure if they sent someone to stand guard in the forest. We still need to be vigilant," he warned.
I swallowed my saliva with difficulty. I was ready to run away, but I felt nervous and scared too. But an opportunity like this wouldn't come back again and I couldn't waste it.
"Come on. We can go now," Agatha invited. She pulled my hand hastily.
"Wait. After I leave, what will you do? What if they get angry and hurt you?" I asked worriedly.
I didn't want to be free but endanger the lives of others. That would leave me with guilt for the rest of my life.
"Don't worry. I will pretend to be hurt because of you so that they will believe what I tell them. I will confess that you tried to run away and hurt me," Agatha said.
Although Agatha looked calm when she said it, I could tell that she was also feeling uneasy and scared.
"Are you sure?" I asked to confirm again. "Don't you want to go with me?"
She shook her head with a smile. "I want to live together with Sam, Juliette. Wherever he is, I will go with him because I love him."
I smiled along with her. "I hope you will always be happy together with Sam, Agatha. Thank you for everything," I said. She answered me with a nod.
Later that night, we ran towards the forest. Some of Xander's men were on guard, but we hid well until we reached the border of Xander's territory. My heart was beating very fast. I felt scared and uneasy as I let go of Agatha's hand.
"Take good care of yourself, Julitte. I wish you a happy life with your baby wolf," she said.
"You too, Agatha." I continued to stare at her until I walked backward. I ran away from Xander's territory. Now and then I looked back and saw Agatha still standing there looking at me. I ran further and further away until I could no longer see Agatha.
I was panting, trying to catch my breath when I felt my lungs running out of air. I decided to rest against a large tree and sat there. All the while my eyes gazed around warily. Afraid that something would suddenly appear and attack me.
At that moment, I saw a flashlight beam in front of me. I blinked as the flashlight's light was aimed right at me to the point where I had to cover my eyes with both hands because of the glare.
I immediately stood up in vigilance. My hands were clenched into tight fists and I glared at the man who now stood towering over me.
