Chapter 36: #36 - Use My Loyalty

Adrian Monti

I stayed in my office all day. I looked at those wine-colored walls, the bookshelf full of books I never read, the framed paintings that didn’t represent my story.

That was all Cornelio Bellini’s, Caterina’s father.

I never changed anything in the office. It was the only place in the house I didn’t touch. I guess out of respect for her, as my wife, but also as a way to draw inspiration from his memory.

I wanted to be a leader. But why didn’t I feel like one, even with the title of Don?

I sat with my head in my hands, thinking until my brain fried while the work piled up.

What the fuck was that premonition? Every time I thought about Caterina, I felt a knot form in my stomach. I knew something was happening, and I did nothing to stop it.

I felt that she and Vincenzo were together as man and woman. It wasn’t just a silly suspicion born from sick jealousy. It was my intuition, blaring like a siren in my head, forcing me to move and stop the situation from getting even worse.

She was my wife. My Caterina.

This wasn’t right.

Something forged itself inside me as those convictions took shape. I felt betrayed, as if my authority meant nothing before Vincenzo Leone’s empire.

I knew about politics. I know you don’t change a winning team. But what was I supposed to do? Hand my wife over as a bargaining chip and be content with the credibility she and he would bring me?

That sounded cold even to me, someone who knew that lately my status mattered more than my marriage.

But Caterina was acting like a bitch, and I couldn’t be the Don who got cuckolded right before everyone’s eyes.

I took a sip of the warm whiskey, the sunny day boiling my already frantic thoughts.

Nathalia came in without knocking. Small steps, posture slightly bent, without arrogance, without the imposing presence I saw in Caterina, always ready to question me.

She was the figure I had always wanted, the passionate, dependent woman who could complete me.

I watched her walk in silently. She came closer to the chair, and instead of sitting in front of me, she walked around the desk and climbed onto my lap.

She was wearing a dress Caterina had left to donate, a pink one with lace and some embroidered bows. That drew me further into the situation, and Nathalia knew how to put on a good show.

Facing me, her legs around my waist, she held my face gently and whispered,

“What’s consuming you, mi Don?”

Caterina is what consumes me day after day. At that moment, the fact that she wasn’t there was what made me sick with rage.

Nathalia nestled into my chest, brushing the tip of her nose against my neck. Her scent was like Caterina’s, and it confused me when I was having bad days.

That was a bad day.

“It’s my wife,” I said, somewhat hesitant, but I said it. I tried to push her away, but she refused to move. Instead, she rubbed her body against mine, and I felt my erection forming. Her game was dirty but effective.

I knew she used seduction as an invisible leash to get around the fact that I didn’t feel the same for her as I did for Caterina. I allowed it.

It was easy, convenient, pleasurable. I couldn’t be a hypocrite.

Nathalia was attractive. Full breasts, red hair, everything in its place. I, as a man, didn’t have that much resistance. Needs exist and shouldn’t be ignored.

Nathalia understood that.

“If you think she betrayed you, why is she still a concern?” she asked softly, still rubbing her body against mine.

She kissed my neck, and I closed my eyes, fighting against what she was doing to me.

“She’s not just my wife,” I gasped. “She’s the partner I chose. The image of my power, Nathalia. She has to be here, beside the Don who owns her.”

“And if she doesn’t want to come?” she asked, breathless, her hand already slipping inside my pants, pressing. I was hard, and the irritation mixed with lust. She knew exactly what she was doing.

“She’ll have to come,” I said, voice dragging.

I needed her out of pride, out of possession, but deep down there was that fucked-up love I couldn’t completely ignore.

I would always choose her in the end. She was my symbol.

“But you love me, don’t you?” Nathalia asked, almost begging for approval.

I sighed. She was so firm in her devotion that it was almost moving. “I took you in. You make me feel good, and you’re good for me. That’s enough.”

“Then use my loyalty,” she whispered, smiling and biting my lip. “I love you so much, Adrian, that I want to see you strong, even if it’s with her. But you can’t go after Caterina. You’ll look weak.”

She moved on top of me, arousing me even more, turning me almost into a puppet in her hands.

“Just put it in already and stop this torture,” I ordered, feeling my cock slide into the wet, tight warmth.

We were both panting, pleasure rising, but Nathalia was excited to tell me about the plan she’d thought of.

“She won’t come back just because you tell her to, mi Don,” she went on, riding me harder as she whispered in my ear. “She’ll come back because of motivation, something that makes her overcome the differences between you, that makes her beg… something she loves.”

The pleasure she gave me was clouding my judgment. The idea was low, immoral, but in my mind, warped by desire and jealousy, it sounded brilliant.

I grabbed her waist tightly, laying her on the desk as I thrust into her with excitement and determination mixing into something greater.

I closed my eyes. I thought of Caterina. What did she love?

It was obvious.

“Victoria Marino,” I said with a smile. “You’re brilliant, baby.”

“We’re in sync,” Nathalia moaned loudly, feeling the movements intensify as the orgasm neared.

Victoria would be Caterina’s weak spot. She’d come out of Leone’s hideout, running to her best friend. And when she was here, I’d have her back, no matter the cost.

“You are so useful,” Nathalia’s thighs were red, my fingers marked on her pale skin from the force I’d used as I gave the final thrusts before filling her with my cum.

She smiled, depraved as she was when we fucked, completely different from the sweet and innocent woman she seemed most of the time.

“Go clean yourself up, we’re dining out tonight,” I said as I buttoned my pants.

She smiled, satisfied, leaving me alone.

I picked up the phone, one name clear in my mind: Fabrizio Giani.

Nathalia was surprising. The idea was good; I should’ve thought of it before. Now I had a clear direction to follow.

Victoria was a necessary piece for the first move in the game.

I would win Caterina back. And having her by my side again would finally consolidate my power.
