Chapter 324 Chapter 324 I will not rest until you are dead.

Eileen Stevens smiled slightly and said, "It's simple, Niles Hawke. Zavier Harding copied his lab and handed everything over to Lynx Black."

Hyrum's eyes widened in shock. "Those are my research results!"

Eileen nodded. "Yes, and now they belong to Lynx Black. I owe him my life."

Hyrum looked miserable. "This is robbery! Pure robbery!"

Niles Hawke replied coldly, "So, do you want to continue your research, or do you want to keep your hands?"

Hyrum deflated instantly and weakly said, "Hands..."

Eileen smiled sweetly. "There's one more thing I need you to do, consider it your way of compensating me."

"What is it?"

Eileen asked, "When I visited your lab last time, I saw a lot of data on neural research on your computer. Do you have any... drugs that can make someone delirious and talk nonsense?"

Hyrum blinked. "I do, but it hasn't been clinically tested, so I don't know how nonsensical it could get."

Eileen's face lit up with excitement. "That's fine, just give it to me. I need it."

Hyrum shivered at Eileen's playful yet eerie smile and said, "Niles, aren't you worried she might turn on you one day?"

Niles shot him a cold glance. "Do you have a problem with that?”

"No! Not at all!" Hyrum quickly shook his head.

After wrapping up things on this end, Eileen sent the gown over to Anne Ross.

Anne Ross saw Eileen and hurried over, saying, "I tried calling you a few days ago, but I couldn't get through. I heard from the second young master that you were sick. Are you okay?"

Eileen Stevens coughed awkwardly, thinking to herself that she wasn't just sick; she had nearly lost her life. She reassured Anne, "I'm fine now. I've recovered. Let's try on Jasper's gown; the alterations have all been made."

Anne immediately grabbed the gown and headed to change. Eileen waited in the living room, taking in the decor of Anne's apartment. When she had first settled Anne in, the place had felt cold and desolate. But now, Anne had clearly put a lot of effort into decorating, making even the cold walls look charming.

Anne emerged from the closet, holding the skirt of her gown, and asked, "Eileen, do you think this waist is too tight? What if it bursts open?"

She wore a lake-blue strapless gown, with exquisite lace detailing and diamond embellishments that made her fair skin look even more radiant. The cinched pleats at her waist gave her an elongated look, making her legs appear long and striking.

Eileen stood up and tugged at the pleats around her waist, saying, "It's fine, not too tight. Jasper reinforced the important seams with double stitching, so it won't burst. You can relax."

Anne nodded, "Alright then, we'll go with this. Tomorrow is the big night, and changing it now would be too rushed."

After finalizing their looks for the next evening, Eileen returned to the Stevens family home. Yesenia Stevens was at home, sorting through gowns. With her status and resources, she had managed to gather almost every gown available, but she was still dissatisfied.

She frowned and said, "Is this dress a new release for this year? This color is so bizarre. Are you trying to get me trending for all the wrong reasons?"

"And what’s with this bow? It looks so tacky! I'm a popular star, not some no-name actress. How am I supposed to wear this?"

"Is there really not a single high-end designer gown? I'm walking the red carpet, not just strolling down the street!"

Yesenia Stevens snapped at her assistant, who hung her head and replied softly, "Yesenia, the dresses we could get are all here... there really isn't anything else..."

Fuming, Yesenia shot back, "What do you mean they're all here? This is clearly missing a lot of runway pieces! Am I supposed to look worse than Camila Brown and those other stars from Yunshang?"

The assistant hesitated, "But... but the Yunshang artists have borrowed all the runway dresses, and the high-end brands are all collaborating with them..."

Yesenia was getting frantic. "Is Hiram Hawke out of his mind? Does he have that many artists? Why would he borrow so many dresses?"

Eileen Stevens leaned casually against the doorframe, watching Yesenia's frantic outburst with a smirk of mockery on her lips.

Of course, Hiram Hawke didn't have that many artists needing haute couture dresses; it was just that Niles Hawke had secretly maneuvered to snatch up all the gowns Yesenia had her eye on. That man always paid back his grudges, and since Yesenia had caused Eileen so much trouble, he wasn't going to go easy on her.

When Eileen returned, Yesenia shot her a furious glare. "You did this, didn't you? Did you encourage the second son of the Hawke family to do this?"

Eileen shrugged. "And if I did? If you have the guts... go and get those dresses back from Hiram Hawke."

"You!"

Yesenia gritted her teeth. "Eileen Stevens, you're truly shameless! Do you think that by stealing my dresses, I'll lose to Anne Ross?"

Eileen raised her index finger and shook it lightly. "Not really. From the very beginning, you were destined to lose to Anne Ross, and it has nothing to do with the dresses."

"By the way, even if our Anne Ross wore a potato sack, she'd still look better than you."

"Eileen Stevens!" Yesenia shouted, "What are you so smug about? If I don't take you down this time, there will always be a next!"

Eileen Stevens' eyes turned icy. "Yesenia Stevens, let me make this clear: if you’ve touched Eve, don’t think you can walk away unscathed. I’ll make sure it’s a fight to the finish!"

Yesenia Stevens was momentarily stunned by the murderous intent in Eileen's gaze, leaving her speechless. She never expected that Eve, that little brat, would recover so quickly. Just when Eileen seemed ready to sign the contract and transfer the shares to her, she thought she would have Jasper's tuxedo, the Stevens Family's shares, and the company all to herself!

But in just one night, Eve had turned things around, ruining all her plans! Not only had she failed to bring Eileen down, but she had also enraged this crazy woman even more!

She couldn’t afford to lose. If she did, Eileen would crush her without hesitation—she had no doubt about that. Eileen was a venomous woman with a heart of a snake!

Gritting her teeth, Yesenia replied, "Eileen, if there’s no high fashion, I have other investors. I can always find a gown that will outshine Anne Ross!”

"And remember, the Scream Night isn’t just about the red carpet; it’s about popularity and work. Anne just made her comeback this year. What does she have to compete with me? You don’t really think a newly returned star can overshadow a top-tier actress like me, do you?"

Eileen scoffed coldly. "Whether she can or not isn’t up to you or me to decide. Let’s wait for the rankings after Scream Night; the results will speak for themselves."

Eileen's hand gripped the syringe hidden in her bag as she said chillingly, "Don’t worry. Everything your people have done to me, I’ll return it all to you in kind."

With that, Eileen turned and headed upstairs, but Yesenia's frantic voice echoed behind her. "What are you still doing here? Didn’t you hear what that bitch Eileen said?"

"Get moving! Contact the investors and get a new gown! There’s no way I’m walking the red carpet in these rags!"
