Chapter 120: Intoxicating Intimacy

"Fine, then we'll use it together," Kate said, struggling to free herself from Ethan's embrace and grabbing the body wash bottle.

As she turned, she swayed unsteadily and almost crashed into the mirror cabinet. Ethan quickly stepped forward to steady her with his hands on her waist.

In the next moment, Kate pulled at his clothes. The atmosphere in the bathroom seemed to crystallize instantly as Ethan's eyes darkened. He reached for the body wash, but Kate had already opened it and was applying it directly onto his skin.

"It smells so nice," Kate said, looking up at him with her lashes glistening with moisture. "I want some too."

She began removing her clothes, dropping them carelessly onto the floor, then squeezed some body wash onto her chest.

As the liquid trickled down, Ethan's Adam's apple bobbed visibly.

He was about to speak when Kate suddenly moved closer, her nose brushing against his, her head swaying slightly.

"Yes, mixed with your scent, it smells even better," she murmured, her breath carrying a faint trace of alcohol as it brushed against his neck, making his heart tremble.

Ethan's body tensed. His hands instinctively tightened, but remembering her intoxicated state, he tried to maintain control.

Just then, Kate placed his hands on her waist and lightly ran her tongue along his collarbone.

She smiled seductively, her fingers trailing across his chest. Looking both sweet and wild, she broke his restraint. Ethan reached out to hold the back of her neck and kissed her forcefully.

When their lips met, Ethan was still tense with restraint. He had intended to keep the kiss brief, but Kate's alcohol-tinged tongue brushed against his lips, immediately making him lose all composure.

He pulled her nearer by pressing on her neck, his other hand softly tracing her waist.

Their breaths intertwined as the bathroom's warm golden light bathed their bodies, making even the air around them seem sticky with desire.

Kate was breathless from his kiss, her nose nuzzling his cheek as she mumbled, "Baby, you're kissing me so fiercely."

Yet her arms wrapped more tightly around his waist, her fingertips unconsciously digging into the skin on his back.

Hearing her words, Ethan chuckled softly.

"Does my baby not like it?" he asked, his lips lightly brushing hers, tempting her.

Kate's body unconsciously shifted closer to his. "I like it."

She suddenly rose on her tiptoes and captured his lips. Her movements were clumsy from intoxication, causing Ethan's breath to catch. Just as he was about to deepen the kiss, she abruptly released him and burrowed into his arms, laughing.

"Baby, your heart is racing," she said with a smile, her fingertips, slick with body wash, sliding down his chest, drawing wobbly little circles.

Her playful manner was clearly teasing him.

Ethan caught her restless hand, both exasperated and amused.

"Drinking but still finding energy to tease me?" he said, turning on the warm air and pressing her against the wall.

Kate looked at him with sultry eyes.

"Yes, so does my baby want to continue?"

Normally when she initiated, she wasn't this seductive. But now she was like a siren, captivating his heart completely. Ethan grabbed her hand.

"Help me take off my pants," he said, while kissing her chest. Kate let out a soft moan, her movements surprisingly quick.

They had never made love in the bathroom before. This first time felt particularly intense, perhaps due to the effects of the alcohol. Kate was more forward than usual.

She seemed tireless, even taking the dominant position.

Finally, Ethan surrendered.

"Baby, I'm exhausted," he admitted.

Kate, still intoxicated, didn't miss the chance to tease him. "Exhausted? Men shouldn't admit defeat."

Ethan sighed. "Men are still human. Anyone would be tired after making love for three or four hours."

Kate looked at him innocently. "Really?"

Ethan caught her still-moving hand as she attempted to flirt with his cock.

But fearing that continuing would leave him completely drained the next day, he tried to carry her out. Kate suddenly gave him a mischievous smile.

"Just one more time, please?"

She pressed his hand down and then...

Then for the first time, Ethan fell asleep instantly after making love, completely exhausted. Meanwhile, Kate was smacking her lips, seemingly still unsatisfied even in her dreams.

The next morning, Kate was awakened by birdsong outside the window.

She opened her eyes groggily, her head still dully aching from the hangover. She moved slightly, intending to turn over, but her whole body ached.

"Why does my body hurt so much too?" she mumbled, moving her fingers.

Just then, still groggy from her hangover, she touched Ethan beside her and froze. He was watching her with a smile.

In that moment, fragments of the previous night stabbed into her mind like shards of glass.

Kate's face flushed crimson. She quickly pulled the covers over her head, wishing she could bury herself in the mattress.

How could she remember everything? She would have preferred to forget it all!

"Does your head still hurt? I've had the staff prepare something for your hangover," Ethan said, patting the lump under the covers.

Kate remained perfectly still inside her cocoon, only her muffled voice escaping. "Don't talk to me."

It was too embarrassing!

Ethan chuckled, lifting the blanket to reveal her blush. His eyes were filled with affection.

"What's wrong? Feeling shy? I thought it was quite nice. In the future, we should drink together in private more often—it adds some spice."

Kate felt even more embarrassed.

How could he be so shameless!

Ethan thought to himself, 'Usually Kate seems to be the more forward one.'

As she huddled there, refusing to speak, there came a gentle knock at the door, followed by Elodie's voice.

"Mr. Levington, Ms. Jennings, breakfast is ready."

Kate sat up abruptly and darted into the bathroom.

Ethan was amused by her ostrich-like behavior. He acknowledged Elodie with a simple, "Okay."

He didn't tease Kate further, instead bringing her clothes to the bathroom. Kate changed silently, not daring to look at Ethan for fear he might say something explicit again.

Kate pretended not to see him, changing quickly and opening the door to head downstairs.

But as soon as she opened the door, the door to the guest room across the hall also opened.

Sofia emerged, rubbing her temples, her hair disheveled and her face showing the fatigue of a hangover. When she saw Kate, she stared for a full three seconds before frowning.

"What are you doing here?"

Kate was also bewildered, not knowing how to explain, when Penelope's voice came from downstairs, tinged with amusement.

"Sofia, this is my home. Perhaps you should be wondering why you're here instead."

Sofia suddenly snapped back to reality.

She looked around and realized this wasn't her residence.

"Last night, you and Kate were sobbing in each other's arms at the bar. Ethan called Milan, and they brought you both back here," Penelope explained, standing at the bottom of the stairs with a glass of water and suppressing a smile. "I arranged a guest room for you. If I remember correctly, you were hugging a pillow last night saying you wanted to find Kate and continue drinking."

Sofia's face also reddened as she cleared her throat to hide her embarrassment. When she looked at Kate, there was a hint of awkwardness in her eyes.

"Last night, I..."

"I don't remember anything, really," Kate quickly interjected, saving face for both Sofia and herself.

Yesterday had truly been too embarrassing.
