Chapter 79: A Wild Night Tonight

Emara Stone

🎵Oops, I did it again🎶

🎶I played with your heart-🎵

“Hello!” I pick up the unknown number call.

“Hello, Chica!” Some idiot speaks from the other side, “It’s me, Daniel.”

I roll my eyes, “Daniel. Where did you get my number?”

“Not important.” He says extra cheerfully, “What important is I am so excited for our second date that I haven’t slept from three nights.”

Gawd! I was hoping one of the two resident evils would have made this headless chicken disappear before the party, but I am surprised he is still alive.

“Why you called?” I get straight to the point.

“So cold. I love it.” He chuckles lightly, “Anyway, I wanted to know what colour dress you are going to wear tonight?”

“Purple.” I say blankly.

“Purple..” He whispers, cooking something in his empty brain.

“Wait..” I suddenly pause, “Please, don’t tell me you are planning to show up in purple too, so you could match with me.” Like some idiot couple!

“Chica!” Daniel gasps ridiculously, “I am not that stupid. Relax!”

I roll my eyes, remembering his fashion sense that of a ten year old kid.

“I got great taste. And I can’t wait to taste yo- I mean see you tonight.” He sighs dreamily, “I know you gonna look insane in the purple dress. I am already imagining it.”

“Okay. Bye, Daniel.” I say in a flat-like-earth tone.

“Wait! Send me your location. I’ll be at your door by 6 PM sharp.” He chirps.

. . .

I check the phone again, it’s 7:17 PM and there are no signs of Daniel yet. Of course!

I turn toward the mirror and take a long look at myself. I originally bought it for my birthday, but tonight felt like a much better occasion.

The dress hugs my figure like a possessive boyfriend, soft pastel purple sparkling with delicate shimmers, like light caught in the stars.

And the huge organza bow behind just adds flowers to the coffin of the people who are going to see me, but not have me.

I smirk, taking selfies, when the doorbell rings. Finally!

I head down and see my father in his police uniform talking to someone at the door.

That’s Daniel in a blinding sparkling white tuxedo, looking like a walking disco ball with flowers in his hand, and Oh-my-baby-Jesus-in-the-crib!

A gasp of terror escapes my mouth as I see his hair.

His previously blonde hair is now dyed into purple colour, looking like a melted unicorn frappuccino on his head.

I face palm myself so hard, that I almost gave myself a concussion.

Right. He ain’t that stupid. He is super stupid.

Olympic-Gold-Medal-Level Stupid!

My father, slowly turns his eyes at me as if judging my capabilities to make foolish survival decisions.

“Hello, Mr. Stone.” Daniel says cheerfully, “I am here to take your daughter out for-”

“It’s not a date, Daniel.” I cut in, grabbing his stupid arm and yanking his sparkling ass out of my house.

“Daniel.” An authoritative voice stops us, and we turn around to face my father who is in full cop mode.

“Bring Emara home safely before eleven.” Dad says in a terrifying calm voice, “Or I’ll find you, and tie you down to a table, then let my knives play with your kidneys, all while you are very much conscious.”

“Ooo..” Daniel cooes, “Kidney fetish. I like that, sir.”

I want the ground to split open and swallow him whole. In fact, I would push him myself into the pit of eternal fire if he didn’t shut his mouth.

“Let’s go. Daniel!” I hiss, dragging him down the street like a garbage bag.

“I got flowers for you, Chica.” He says, passing me the bouquet.

“These are fake.” I tell him.

“Yea, and they will never die, just like my love for you.” He pouts, and I walk fast away from the purple Shrek.

But my feet suddenly halt as I spot a long, white stretched car parked right at the end of my street, shining like rectangle Moon on wheels under the streetlights.

“You brought a Limo?” I gasp in horror.

“Hell, yeah!” The idiot chirps happily, puffing his chest out.

“Daniel! This is not prom night.” I grit through my clenched jaw.

“Well, we can always make one.” He winks at me purplishly.

“No.” I move to open the Limousine door, when he suddenly stops me by stepping in front with a Titanic pose.

“What are you doing? We are getting lat-”

“Shhh…” Daniel presses his finger to my lips, and whispers, “Chica, let me give you a wild night tonight.”

Then dramatically opens the door.

Two girls in shimmering golden bikinis climb down the Limo with red feathers crowned on their heads, looking like he kidnapped them straight from the circus.

What-the-fucking-fuck!

I stand there in absolute horror as I watch the girls sprinkle confetti at the entry, for me to step in.

“Ready to make an entrance, my purple princess?” Daniel beams at me, glowing with pride.

I glare him murderously.

I want to slap his purple dick-face, then slap myself for agreeing to go out with him.

With the enthusiasm of a cactus, I climb into the Limousine. To my surprise, there is one more weirdo sitting inside.

The man is dressed in a black and red suit, with thick black eyeliner and an old fashioned Lincoln top hat, looking like a Dracula on discount.

He slowly twists his thin, curled mustache as I come sit in. Daniel and the two girls in bikinis follow inside, that’s when the vampire pulls out cards from his pocket and starts performing.

Of course, he is a magician!

He waves his hand dramatically and pulls a coin out of Daniel’s ear, then makes it disappear in the thin air.

“Oh my God! Chica, did you see that?” Daniel taps my arm excitedly as he says, “Hey, buddy! Do it again! She didn’t see it.”

I roll my eyes. Deeply, painfully, soul-crushingly regretting the decision to agree to be his plus one.

“I have something for the pretty lady here.” The magician announces smoothly, as he dips into his jacket and pulls out a red rose.

He holds the flower in front of me, and when I reach for it, he turns the rose into a stick of feather, then into a silk scarf, and then back again into a rose.

I reach again, but he changes it into a silver rod.

“What the fuck are you doing!” I snatch the paper rod and smack the magician on the head with it in frustration.

I am officially done!

I turn to the side, only to witness Daniel flirting with one of the girls, “I love how your shyness is as minimal as your bikini. Totally love it.”

I should have expected this. After all, it’s Daniel! Why the hell did I underestimate him?

After a torturing one and a half hour ride, the Limo finally arrives at the venue.

I don’t even wait for the car to fully stop, I kick open the door and launch myself out like I am escaping a prison.

“Chica!” Daniel calls me from behind, “My purple princess! Wait for me.”
