Chapter 258
Chapter 258
Three days later, the Sunrise City police moved on Cameron.
Early that morning, Cameron rode in a black sedan toward Sunrise City Airport, planning to leave the country on a private flight.
Just as he passed through the VIP lane and was about to enter the terminal, four police officers closed in from different directions, surrounding him at the security checkpoint.
"Cameron, you are suspected of orchestrating and organizing multiple serious criminal offenses. We are now placing you under criminal detention in accordance with the law."
Cameron was handcuffed and escorted from the scene.
That same afternoon, Sunrise City police launched a coordinated strike against Eagle Eye's contact points and core operatives scattered across the country.
Within hours, Eagle Eye members in different locations were apprehended.
At that moment, Declan sat alone in an empty office, two documents spread out before him.
One was an official notice from an overseas agency, informing him that the technology licensing agreement had been voided. The system had been reclaimed by the White Dove team and reverted to its original framework.
The other was a property preservation order from the court. All assets under his name had been frozen—including the top-floor office he'd rented for three years and just finished renovating.
His assistant spoke up. "Mr. Ross, someone from the property management is here. They said this month's rent hasn't cleared. They're asking you to vacate by the end of the day."
Declan didn't look up. "I know."
He stood, took nothing with him, and walked out of the office.
The Black Raven core technology rights—which Declan had once seen as his ticket to redemption—were officially returned after the overseas agency confirmed it couldn't operate independently.
The documents came back to Audrey. She didn't open them. She simply locked them in the safe in her study, on the same shelf as the signet ring Bronte had left behind.
One week later, in the evening, she had Chase reach out to the heads of several major Imperial City media outlets and set a time. She also had Arabella prepare a complete visual presentation.
At the press conference for the establishment of the White Dove Cultural Development Foundation, Audrey stood onstage.
"Today, I want to announce something. The legendary Black Raven will officially be merged into the White Dove Cultural Development Foundation."
"Black Raven will no longer exist as any form of commercial entity. Its technical framework, communication networks, and core personnel resources will all be transferred under the White Dove Cultural Development Foundation."
She paused, her gaze sweeping across the audience.
"In other words, Black Raven used to belong to the dark web. From now on, it will exist out in the open."
"And the purpose of the White Dove Cultural Development Foundation is to discover talented people around the world, then provide them with professional training and guidance for growth."
The next morning, Benjamin called.
"Your White Dove," his voice was as clear and bright as ever, "does it need a consultant? I've got a lot of free time lately. Plus, my family's in security too—we're in the same line of work, right?"
Audrey held her phone, a little surprised. "You're not on set?"
"We wrapped." Benjamin's tone was casual. "I was looking for a change of pace anyway. If you don't mind me being too high-profile and flashy, I can lend my name and help with some PR."
"Okay." Audrey said. "I'll have someone send over a contract."
"No rush." Benjamin chuckled. "Let's get dinner sometime. Bring Saskia too—it's been forever since we all got together."
The mention of Saskia reminded Audrey that it had been quite a while since they'd reached out to each other.
Not that they'd grown distant—just that their schedules had been too packed, and before either knew it, time had slipped away.
That same afternoon, Saskia's message came through.
[Audrey! I just found out you started this huge foundation! Why didn't you tell me sooner? I'm actually in between projects right now and bored out of my mind. Is there anything I can help with?]
[Don't tell me you're trying to get on another reality show,] Audrey replied with a laugh.
They agreed to meet that weekend.
Saskia walked in and immediately flopped onto the couch like she owned the place.
The two of them talked for hours, catching up on each other's lives.
Soon, more and more people joined. The White Dove Cultural Development Foundation's advisory board gradually took shape. In addition to Arabella, Benjamin, and Saskia, there were several scholars and professionals who had spent years working deeply in their respective fields.
Audrey wasn't in a hurry to expand. White Dove operated more like a slow, deliberate process—not chasing immediate visibility, but polishing every detail until it was solid.
Ethan, meanwhile, designed an entirely new AI system.
"What's this for?" Audrey asked.
Ethan thought for a moment, then answered seriously, "It can find people who have special talents but don't know it themselves."
"Like your grandmother?"
"Yeah." Ethan nodded. "If Grandma had had this system back then, maybe she wouldn't have been so lonely."
