Chapter 23: Twenty three

Zara

‎"Yes," I sobbed, because I was so close, and his fingers on my clit, his cock inside me and his voice in my ear were too much for my body to handle. "Yes, I am going to come, I am so close, please do not stop, please do not fucking stop..."

‎

‎"Then come," he commanded, and his voice broke on the word, thick with his own need. "Come for me right now, Zara. Let go. I have got you."

‎

‎And I did.

‎

‎I came so hard that my whole body seized up, my vision went white, and I screamed his name into the quiet room, not caring who heard, not caring about anything except the waves of pleasure crashing over and over till I went limp against the desk, my body trembling, my breath coming in short, broken gasps.

‎

‎Darren did not stop. He kept thrusting into me, slow and deep now, drawing out every last shudder of my orgasm while his fingers stayed on my clit, rubbing gentle circles that made me twitch and moan with overstimulation. His breathing was ragged above me, his hands shaking slightly where they gripped my hips, and I could feel him getting closer, could feel his cock swelling inside me as his own release built.

‎

‎"Where do you want it?" he asked, his voice strained, barely under control. "Tell me where you want me to come, Zara."

‎

‎"Inside me," I said without thinking, without caring about the consequences. "I want you to come inside me, Darren. I want to feel you fill me up. Please."

‎

‎He groaned, a deep, broken sound that came from somewhere raw, and then he was coming, his body going rigid behind me, his fingers digging into my hips so hard. I felt him pulse inside me, hot and thick, and the feeling of it pushed me right to the edge of another orgasm that hovered just out of reach, teasing me.

‎

‎He collapsed forward slightly, his chest pressing against my back, his forehead dropping to my shoulder. We stayed like that for a long moment, both of us breathing hard, both of us covered in sweat, both of us too spent to move. The room was silent except for our breathing and the distant sound of voices in the hallway outside, people walking past who had no idea what had just happened in here.

‎

‎"That was..." I started, but I did not have the words to finish.

‎

‎"Yeah," he said, and I could hear the smile in his voice even though I could not see his face. "It was."

‎

‎He pulled out of me slowly, and I winced at the loss of him, already missing the way he felt inside me. He stepped back and I heard him tucking himself back into his pants, heard his belt buckle click into place, and then his hands were on my waist, turning me around, pulling me up to stand on shaky legs.

‎

‎He looked at me with those grey eyes, softer now than they had been before, and reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. His thumb brushed my cheek, almost tender.

‎

‎"You are going to be the death of me, Zara Lennox."

‎

‎I smiled, still breathless, still trembling. "At least you will die happy."

‎

‎He laughed, a low, warm sound, and pulled me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me. I buried my face in his neck and breathed him in, feeling his heart still pounding against my cheek.

‎

‎"I should go," I said, but I did not move. "Clara and Mia are waiting for me."

‎

‎"In a minute," he said, his hand rubbing slow circles on my back. "Just stay here for one more minute."

‎

‎So I did.

‎

‎I stayed there in his arms, with the afternoon sun streaming through the windows and the sound of his heartbeat in my ear, and I pretended that we were normal, that we were just two people who had found each other, that there was nothing forbidden about the way I fit against his body.

‎

‎Then I straightened my skirt, fixed my hair, and kissed him one more time before slipping out the door and walking back to my room with his scent still on my skin and his warmth still between my legs.
