Chapter 70 Our Last Night
Chapter 70 Our Last Night
Zane ~
I deepened the kiss, still squeezing her ass softly while I carried her on my torso and we swam.
She was giggling softly. My heart really ached seeing Ember this way. I just felt annoyed, rage, and weak at the same time. But I've to pause things for now.
I released my lips from hers and squeezed her nipples while I grabbed her gown to wear them on her.
“Zane,” she called out slowly. “What's this?”
I chuckled. “It's just a painting, Embie.”
“No Zane, c'mon. This is so lovely. Gosh, I look good. When was this?”
I looked away. “That day, Ember. That day that you said it to my face that when I'm done pretending and trying to hide, you'll always be there waiting for me, Embie.
That day changed me. It began the day my craving started getting serious on you.”
And slowly tears slipped from her eyes. I wiped them off slowly with my lips.
“You know it was a good thing I kept every mood of ours. Who knows, Ember, this will be our last seeing.”
And tears continued gushing out from her eyes profusely. “Zane, I'm leaving. Colt wants me to go.” I nodded slowly. “Yeah.”
“Can’t you do something? Fight him. Challenge him. Just don’t let him take me along.”
“Embie, that would never be right one bit. I don't have idea in what's in your brother's mind. Stopping him from taking you might cause something graver.
It hurts me, Ember, that I fucking can't do anything. I'm just a fool, a coward, someone who doesn't even value a treasure. But Ember, it's best you go because I feel you'll get your powers back.”
“And is it by going with him then I get my powers, Zane? What are you even saying? I don't want to go. I want to stay with you. I want to be your Luna. I want to finish my school. Zane, c'mon, you can do something. Don't leave me hanging and alone with him.”
She frowned deeply.
“So what about us? Our love? Everything we've shared? What's going to happen to that, Zane? It's going to die down just like that.”
Tears slipped from my eyes slowly. This is the first time I'm actually crying, and it was because of the person I love. I love her, gosh. I wiped my tears and slowly went out of the pool.
“Embie, your brother gave you three days to fuck around with anyone. Let's make the night memorable together.” She smiled. “Sure.”
I carried my baby carefully on my arms, and we walked into my painting room. Every freaking memory of ours was there.
I've always known and had this feeling that a day like this is surely going to come.
She touched a piece and traced it with her hands.
She read the short story written on it. It was a guide on what the painting is. The day she held me like I was everything and the last thing in her life, and I felt warmth all over my body even while it was freezing inside the rain and damn cold. Ember was my mate, my fucking Luna.
“Zane,” she smiled and opened her arms wide. I reciprocated, and she hugged me so tight. “I love you, my Alpha.”
And pecked me on the cheek. Gosh, every little gesture this girl made was turning me the fuck on. But I held myself slowly because it's gonna be a freaking long night.
And we moved to the next painting while I held her waist possessively. It was mine. Always mine. I don't freaking care anywhere she goes, her body will always be what mine bends for, because they're both wonderfully and specially made for each other.
She held the next painting and looked at me weirdly. “There's no description or any short explanation on this, Zane.”
I took the painting from her hands and kept it down. I sat on a chair and made her sit on my lap.
“Well, this painting was the first night I made you a woman, Ember. This was the best night ever in my life. Do you know why?” I asked her. She shook her head.
“Because you gave me something precious, Embie. Something unique. You gave me your price, your dignity. You gave your virginity to me.
Me, Ember. Me who can't stand and fight for you now. You gave it to me.”
Tears were already slipping from my eyes. This night was really the last night with my Luna.
She held my face, drying my tears with her warm fingers. “Zane, I gave it out to you, not because I wanted to, but I wanted to make you a man.
I wanted you to know that your Luna is intact. She had always been meant for you. So it's like a gift. You fought that lie. You quitted pretending. You made your move. That's Zane.
I don't only love you, but I cherish you. Maybe this will be our last night. This will be the last night of you touching me. This will be the last night of us staying like this.
But please, Zane, maybe you could move on with your life. Since the council already have a Luna…”
When she made mention of the council, my head switched to the meeting I told Damien to announce. But that isn't my problem to deal with right now. My Luna is leaving me. She's going to an unknown place. This was obviously our last day together, so why don't I use it wisely?
“Look here, Zane. Move on, but don't forget about me. Of course I know the memories will be here, but don't, Zane.”
I frowned deeply as she was speaking.
“The hell, Ember. I should move on with someone not even up to your standards?
Someone who doesn't even know her chance of existing or worth? Ember, if anything makes me move on? Is the very day I fought my way to get you.
I don't want to even know the fucking guy you are moving on with. When I find you, when I feel my Luna again, nothing matters to me again in this life. Just the both of us. And anyone who comes in our way will surely die.”
