Tribe Fire

When the door opened, Cateline jumped back in surprise. She couldn't believe who was there with Cristina.

It was Zebeu, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

The woman ran to him and hugged him tightly. The healer cared for and worried about the girl as if she were his own daughter.

Zebeu felt a little awkward but hugged her back. The woman was emotional seeing her old friend return to see her.

"I missed you so much!"

Cateline said, embracing him tightly as he patted her back.

"I'm glad to see you're doing well! Your mother sends her regards!"

Zebeu said, also getting emotional. He had witnessed and assisted in the young girl's birth, watched her grow up, and now he would be there as she became a mother.

"Thank you for coming! I was so worried, there was no one like me to talk to openly..."

Cateline poured out her feelings. She cared a lot for her friend and guardian, Cristina, but she didn't understand many of the things that the human experienced. She was more fragile and sensitive than the wolves of Wisdy. It was difficult for her there.

Everyone entered, and Cateline soon offered some sweets to her friend and guardian. They all shared happily, celebrating their reunion.

Zebeu talked extensively with the young woman, telling her details of the journey and how things were in his homeland. The girl was fascinated as she listened, reminiscing about her home; her heart was filled with longing.

A few minutes passed, and Thedeu arrived, carrying the reinforcing tea he made every morning. He was surprised to see the human healer there.

Cateline introduced her friend to him, but for some reason, the wolf healer avoided staying close.

Cristina brought a hearty breakfast to her mistress, and she ate everything. Now she was more cheerful and lively.

They noticed the woman's excitement; he was happy to see her in that state. It was important for the baby that the mother felt well, especially after the scare Cateline had of almost having a premature birth.

The human asked about Felix all morning. Unfortunately, he had investigations to conduct and couldn't spend much time with his beloved, but she knew that soon everything would return to normal, and they could finally live their lives together with their baby, who was about to be born.

Zebeu examined Cate's enormous belly. Now he understood why the pregnancy was so different; the baby inside wasn't entirely human. That's why the woman seemed so weak and pale. The human healer didn't quite understand how magic worked in the wolves' bodies; he was confused.

A human would never be able to go through such changes in their body. Zebeu took notes to show to Diego later; he needed to inform the Alpha that the human needed special care. As a human, he couldn't even explain what the woman was going through; it was something very painful and difficult. Diego needed to know.

Thedeu stayed by Zebeu's side the whole time, reading his notes. He also asked some questions about humans since he didn't have much information; he wanted to learn a bit about them. The human healer felt somewhat uncomfortable giving him such details, but he needed to share his knowledge. After all, he would be the assistant during Cateline's delivery.

Zebeu decided to provide as many details as possible to the wolf, even though he felt uncomfortable.

Cateline and Felix Fire

About a month later...

It had been a month since Felix arrived in Wisdy, and investigations regarding the traitor were still ongoing. The wretched person was skilled and knew how to hide. Diego was furious; he couldn't believe he hadn't caught him yet.

Felix took part in all the investigations and meetings whenever he could. He felt responsible for the invasion and the lives of his friends lost in the prison battle. He wanted to redeem himself and become a great leader.

He made every effort to spend the day with his beloved.

He was almost always tired and sleepy, but nothing stopped him from giving attention and affection to Cateline, something he had wanted to do since the day he saw her. Finally, the two were together, and no one could separate them.

At night, they lay together, caressing each other until they fell asleep. Felix massaged his beloved's feet and showered her with kisses.

Everything was perfect. Finally, the family was complete and happy.

Zebeu and Thedeu visited Cate every day to check on the baby; the delivery date was approaching. She was already in position.

Cateline's belly was enormous; the human could barely walk normally. Everyone was amazed to see her. Cateline went for walks every day; the healers said it would be good for the baby and the delivery.

Cristina was on the verge of going crazy; she arranged the room every day, hoping the baby would finally arrive. She had set up a crib and sewed various toys and clothes by hand as if the baby would be hers.

The maid hummed lullabies of wolves and taught them to Cateline, who listened attentively to learn.

Diego, despite being stressed about the invasion situation, was internally anxious and happy. The Alpha made excuses to visit Cateline's room, often bringing tea or soup, saying it was for the child. Cate knew it was his way, and she hardly cared anymore about his rough way of handling things. She was getting used to his manner and even enjoyed the moments they spent together...

Milenna, Lucinda, and Sandy continued exchanging letters with Cateline; they were eager for the baby's birth. Cate told them everything. Sandy was also about to give birth; she was excited to meet her relative.
