Chapter 80: Chapter XXXVII Show Time-3

"Shut it, Adams," Caleb thought it well to move away for a moment. I turned back to Anna. "You were incredible," I commented, but she could only cry further. I moved to everyone else, greeting the comedians and singers and performers. Some told me snippets of hilarious jokes when I greeted them, an actor I've admired since I was small placing a kiss onto the back of my hand. The entire night was incredible, and meeting them was not just the cherry but the rose ice-cream on top as well. I moved towards the gymnasts, greeting everyone I didn't know and noticing how sweaty they were. They truly worked hard and went further than they've ever reached. I was truly proud of my people. When I reached the more end of the row, I was attacked around the waist and an orange bun was all I saw when I looked down at my attacker. "Molly! Get off of Her Highness!" I heard one of the coaches bellowed from the side. I didn't push Molly away, instead bending down slightly to the bending girl and wrapped my arms around her. She was tearing up, but I couldn't figure out if it was from sadness or happiness. "Molly, you were incredible," I commented her, rubbing down her back. She raised her eyes at me. "Pastel ballerina, I'm so happy!" she cheered and I couldn't help but chuckle at her. Some curious eyes regarded us. "But holy chicken nuggets, I almost died! Did you see that? Anthony! You almost dropped me, you bloody turd!" she called over her shoulder to the same male gymnast the twins were interested in. He looked absolutely confused at the situation, trying to plaster an innocent look on her face. I laughed at their hilarious interaction and helped Molly onto her feet. I then regarded the rest of the line and saw her standing at the very end, her head kept low and her face held neutral. Molly gave me a knowing look and a little shove. I headed over, my nerves starting to eat away at my insides. I stopped right in front of her but she didn't look up. I suspected as much but suddenly, everything I've wanted to tell her went flying out of my head. I felt unprepared, and I realized that you can never prepare for something like this. But I would not leave tonight without everything resorted. Tomorrow I will be Crowned Princess, and I'm not going to go through that without her. I snuck my arms around her, but unlike the other hugs I gave out today, I wrapped my arms around her waist and brought her close to me. I could tell her body tense up, but she made no move to hug me back. "What are you doing?" she whispered to me, annoyance evident in her voice. "Trying to fix things," I took a step back and grabbed her face, raising until her eyes met with mine. In that moment when I saw her gloss eyes, no one else mattered. I didn't care if the whole world was watching, because this was her. This was Sarina, and she was my one. "I have never regretted anything more than the words I told you and I'm so, so sorry. I'm inconsiderate and selfish and I never thought about how you might feel. You were my friend but I didn't tell you anything, then we became more and I still didn't tell you anything. That was a mistake, and it was huge. I mean... I never meant to hurt you. It's the last I've ever wanted to do. I'm so sorry. I know you might never forgive me or take me back, but at least let me express how sorry I am. Because I am. I am so bloody sorry. Because you're it for me. You're the person I don't want to leave. I could never love anyone more than I love you and -" as if something suddenly snapped, Sarina's eyes changed emotions and she took a step forward, cupping my face. I was surprised but didn't protest on bit, accepting the short tender kiss. I ignored everything else. All of the shouts of shock deafened me, the flashes from cameras heavy against my closed eyelids. I heard surprised comments all around me, the gymnasts basically jumping with joy. Molly was gone, running around the stage like a complete lunatic, yelling: "That's my friend! She's my friend! Make me famous!" But none of it mattered, because Sarina kissed me and I could never be happier. I pulled back in surprise, regarding her face. She gave me a sly smile, all signs of anger out of the door. "What? Why?" I was completely bewildered. Why would she suddenly take me back? "Because you said you loved me," her voice rang softly, my eyed widening. "I forgive you. I'm also sorry about everything I said. It was uncalled for. Oh, and I love you to, idiot," she gave me a quick peck on the lips before wrapping her arms around me. I heard loud clapping from the audience, my brothers whistling in response. I felt two large arms snake around both Sarina and I and we looked up to see Alejandro's smug face. "Oh my chicken nugget, you're here!" Sarina looked excited, Alejandro and Sarina sharing their first hug. Tonight was just an evening full of hugs it seemed. "It is an honour to finally meet you in person, Lady Sarina," he said with a bright smile and turned to me in question. "Would you murder me if I kissed her hand?" I chuckled at his question and shook my head. Satisfied, he scooped Sarina's hand into his own and kissed the back of it. "I look forward to the wedding," Sarina blushed fifty shades of scarlet, using her other hand to fan her face. "Oh my chicken nugget, yes!" Molly cheered when she returned, springing onto Sarina's back until she fell onto the ground. We remained there for a while, in front of the entire world, laughing our asses off on the stage. But I didn't care one bit if the world now knew of my relationship with Sarina, because I felt like the happiest girlfriend in the world and I just wanted to show off how imperfectly perfect we were together. Nothing could interfere with my feelings for her anymore.
