Chapter 77: Chapter XXXVI Preparation-2
"We... had a fight," his eyes went wide at this. "You... had a fight?" I nodded. "About?" I sighed deeply and took another swoop of ice-cream. "I said somethings I shouldn't have, but it provoked her to tell me all of my flaws and everything I've ever done wrong. Apparently, there's a list," he hummed in deep thought, sucking at his straw for a moment. "So... it's your fault?" I nodded in confirmation. "Have you apologized yet?" I shook my head. "I intend to, but it's a bit late now. The Royal Variety Performance is tomorrow and we both will be there. I'm going to try and apologize then," he narrowed his eyes at me. "Try?" he quoted me. "I don't think she'll take me back. She saw a dark side of me and I'm so afraid that she hates me now," he stood from his seat across me and slid into the booth next to me. He took me into his arm, giving me the support I needed. "There's no way she hates you. You two are utterly heads over heels for one another. A match made in heaven. Or hell. Whatever you believe in," he rubbed soothing circles into my back. "But... I think there's some things any relationship has to get over in order to be successful. This is just one obstacle that needs tackling. Oh, I know! Pretend that you're a bull," "What?" "Follow me on this one: imagine you're a bull, and your problem is Maximiliano. The bull needs to trample on Maximiliano in order to get past Maximiliano and get to the bullring where he can be successful," "Where they enter a fight," Alejandro rolled his eyes, whispering 'tough crowd' under his breath. "And they come out of it! Like, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" he tried to sound wise, flexing his imaginary bicep. "Aren't the bulls eaten after that?" he scoffed, pushing away my face. "Jeez, you are one tough cookie," he said, moving back towards his seat. "But I definitely believe that you and Sarina will one day be very happy," "Not today?" "Oh, no. Today you two still hate each other," I chuckled at how calmly he spoke, as if reciting simple facts. "That's where you're wrong," he frowned at me in question. "Indulge me?" "I could never hate Sarina. Never in my life will that be a possibility," Alejandro seemed to crack the largest smile in the world. "That is just adorable! So, when's the wedding?" he sounded so eager, like a puppy waiting for his treat after doing a good act. I rolled my eyes at him. "We've only been dating for two weeks," he scoffed unceremoniously at me. "That's hilarious. You guys have been in a complex homosexual relationship since you two met and you cannot tell me otherwise," I chuckled sheepishly at him. "You're getting ahead of yourself," "Am I? I mean, you two are both of age and it's legal. Although... I don't know if there's a procedure to homosexual couples passing on titles. Like, will the UK have two queens then? I can totally get on that train. That sounds almost ideal," I had stopped listening, considering his words. On the off chance that Sarina and I get married, then she'll be a crowned Queen. Sarina... as Queen. Caleb as King now proved to be the worst possible thing I ever considered, but this was something else. Sarina was the closest thing to perfection, always being there and is as selfless as a true hero. I had more than once had the thought that she would make a better royal than me, and I know I am right. If Sarina was the one, then I will gladly place a crown on her head. If she'll have me. A hand shook in front of my face and I quickly snapped out of it, regarding Alejandro. "What were you daydreaming about?" he asked, curious as to what caught my attention so promptly. I gave him a big smile. Alejandro was truly a good friend, although he could be annoying at times. I appreciated that he came to support me through this rough time. "Sorry. I was just fantasizing about our wedding," I had never heard a man squeal before.
