Chapter 260: CHAPTER 260
ARIA’S POV
FINAL EXAM DAY:
The day I had been Preparing for finally arrived.
My final examinations were about to begin and graduating from School felt Completely real now.
I woke up early but instead of feeling energetic, my body felt unusually heavy.
My eyes were tired, my Stomach felt Slightly uncomfortable and I had barely Slept through the night.
I Sat on the edge of my bed for a few Seconds, taking deep breaths while resting one hand over my baby bump.
Today was important and I refused to let Pregnancy fatigue Stop me.
Cassian walked into the room a few minutes later, already dressed for School.
He immediately noticed the tired expression on my face and walked over to me.
“Are you okay, Aria?” he asked with eyes filled of Concern.
I nodded. “I’m fine… Just a little tired.”
He Crouched in front of me and gently Placed his hands over mine.
“You don't have to Pretend with me, Aria.”
I looked into his eyes and felt my Chest tighten with emotion.
“I feel So tired, Cassian,” I whispered.
"That's really bad.” He replied.
I winced.
“But Please just pull through today for me, okay? You Can't miss today's exam.”
“I know.” I looked down.
He gently kissed my forehead before helping me Stand.
“If you feel tired in the exam hall, just remember our Child and Pull through it… You Can do it okay?”
“Okay baby.”
I Smiled at him, feeling a little more Confident now.
After getting ready, we left the house together and headed toward School.
Mila was already waiting for us when we arrived, Carrying her books against her Chest.
The moment She saw me, her face immediately brightened, and She hurried toward us.
“Aria, are you ready?” She asked with an excited Smile.
“I think so,” I replied, laughing nervously.
Mila immediately looked at my Stomach before looking back at my face.
“Take it easy today, okay?” She Said.
“I will,” I Promised.
I laughed, and even Cassian Smiled.
The tension I had been feeling Slowly began to disappear.
We walked through the School entrance together, with Mila Staying beside me while Cassian walked on my other side.
Several Students looked at us as we Passed but I barely noticed them.
All I Could think about was getting through the exams.
We reached the examination area, and the Students began taking their Positions.
Cassian Stopped beside me and gently Squeezed my hand.
“Good luck, baby.”
I Smiled. “Good luck to you too.”
Mila hugged me Carefully before Pulling back and Pointing at my Stomach.
“And you better behave in there,” She Said to my Stomach making me laugh.
Cassian Chuckled. “She'd be fine.”
Mila looked at him Seriously.
“I'm talking to the baby, not you… Mind your business.”
“Yes boss.” He laughed.
Alex and David Suddenly appeared behind us, both Carrying their examination materials.
Alex laughed when he heard Mila.
“She's already acting like the baby's aunt.”
“I am the baby's favorite aunt,” Mila Protested.
David Shook his head.
“The baby hasn't even been born yet.”
We all laughed and for a few Seconds, the examination didn't feel frightening anymore.
Then the bell rang, reminding us that it was time.
Cassian gave me one last Supportive look before heading toward their Private wing with Alex and David.
Mila and I walked toward our own examination room together.
As we reached the doorway, She Squeezed my hand.
“You've got this.”
I nodded and walked inside.
The familiar Classroom Suddenly looked different to me.
This was one of the last times I would Sit there as a Student.
I looked around at the desks, the board and the windows where I had Spent months Sitting by.
A Strange wave of emotion Passed through me as I realized how quickly everything had Changed.
I Placed my hand over my Stomach and whispered, “We're almost there.”
The invigilator walked in Carrying the examination Papers.
The entire room immediately became Silent.
My heartbeat Started racing as the Papers were Placed face down on our desks.
“Do not turn your Papers over until I tell you to.”
The Professor Said.
I took a deep breath and looked toward the Clock.
Then the Professor finally gave us the Signal.
“Begin.”
I turned my paper over and immediately Scanned through the questions.
To my Surprise, they were much easier than I had expected.
I Picked up my Pen and Started writing.
The answers Came naturally because I had Spent weeks Preparing for this moment with the help of my friends.
For Several minutes, I Completely forgot about my Pregnancy fatigue.
All I Could think about was finishing the Paper.
Meanwhile, Cassian, Alex and David were writing their examinations Separately in their Private wing too.
Cassian Sat with his eyes focused on his Paper, answering each question with Confidence.
Alex occasionally glanced at the Clock before returning to his work.
David was equally Concentrated, moving through the questions without wasting time.
Even though they were in different rooms from Mila and me, we were all fighting toward the Same goal.
We were going to finish high School together.
Back in my examination room, I reached the middle of the Paper without any major difficulty.
Then a Sudden wave of exhaustion hit me.
My vision blurred Slightly and I Stopped writing.
I Closed my eyes and took Several Slow breaths.
My hand moved toward my Stomach.
“Easy,” I whispered to myself.
I waited for the dizziness to Pass before opening my eyes again.
The Professor glanced in my direction but didn't interrupt me.
I looked at the Clock and realized I Still had Plenty of time.
I took another breath and tightened my grip around my Pen.
“Bear with me.” I whispered to my baby.
Then I Continued writing.
Minutes later, I was back in my rhythm.
Question after question, I Completed the answers.
My body was tired but my mind remained focused.
I thought about Cassian waiting for me outside.
I thought about Mila, Alex, and David finishing their own Papers.
Most importantly, I thought about the future waiting for us after graduation.
I finally reached the last question.
My heart began beating faster as I wrote the final answer.
I Stared at the Paper for a few Seconds, making Sure I hadn't missed anything, then I Placed my pen down.
I had Completed my first final examination.
Relief immediately washed over me.
The Professor announced that the time was over.
“Everyone, Stop writing.” He said.
The Students Placed their Pens down as the Papers were Collected from us.
I leaned back in my Seat and released a breath I hadn't realized I was holding.
My eyes became watery but this time, I allowed myself to Smile.
One exam was officially over.
When I walked outside, Mila was already waiting for me.
The moment She Saw my face, She rushed toward me.
“How did it go?” She asked.
“I finished it,” I replied with a tired Smile.
Mila immediately hugged me Carefully before Pulling away to Check my Stomach.
“You and the baby Survived!”
I laughed. “Barely.”
Mila Shook her head. “I told you not to Stress yourself… Did you Stress yourself in the exam hall?”
“I didn't.”
“You absolutely did, See your face.” She Protested.
Before I Could answer, I heard a familiar voice behind me.
“Are you two already arguing?”
I turned around and Saw Cassian walking toward us with Alex and David.
He Came Straight to me and looked at my face.
“How are you feeling, baby?” he asked.
“Tired, but happy.” I admitted.
His expression Softened.
“I knew you Could do it.”
He gently Pulled me into a hug, making Sure not to Press against my Stomach.
I rested my head against his Chest, allowing myself to relax for a moment.
“I was So tired halfway through but I kept going.” I whispered.
Cassian gently kissed my forehead.
“And that's why I'm Proud of you.”
I was Starting to get emotional again.
Mila immediately Smiled at us.
“Don't Start Crying yet, Aria… We Still have more exams to do.”
Alex laughed. “She's right.”
I looked at all of them and felt incredibly grateful.
Cassian took my hand and Squeezed it gently.
