Chapter 18

"What?" he asked with his mouth giving way for the juice that was in it to splash out on him and shouted out in amazement at what had just gone on.

"Hey, what was that for?"

"I am so sorry, it wasn't intentional but this info was breathtaking and I needed both my mouth and nostrils breath," he spoke out not believing what he had just given attention to. His friend was swimming in a hot pot of soup from what he was seeing.

"I feel like an idiot for doing that to her man." He pushed on with the conversation but he was not looking any less surprised since he had gotten the information about her being a virgin.

"Hey there, let us be serious here. You both had a bargain and it is not your fault if she did not tell you that she was not a newbie in the game so stop airing yourself like a dead horse and move on. These things happen and yeah, it is insane that her virginity was been broken up just because she was trying to save her mother but bro chill, I am starving."

He said with his eyes looking like that of an unserious psychopath but still, his solution was not the kind of one that he was expecting to have in such a period where he was in.

Biting his lips, he rose to his feet while he let out some words of anger and frustration saying that if he could turn back the hands of time, he was going to do that without a second thought as his conscience was not leaving him to breath in peace.

"Is this still about her, or is there something else you are not telling me? How come the almighty player Blaze is suddenly feeling so remorseful for a night of pleasure that he had gotten with one of his victims? Why are the long face and regrets popping traits that I see on his face since I got here?" He shot those questions at him, with his eyes being fixed on his friend while his right hand gave his mouth some juice where he sipped it comfortably but his confusion could be clearly seen since he had found out about that.

"I don't know why my whole existence is seriously giving me reasons to do things different with she but trust me when I say that I haven't gotten a moment of peace since I discovered some bloodstains on the bed spread last night and found out that she was still pure."

The words that came out of his mouth, were symbolic of something deeper than he could comprehend himself but he's sitting down there with a cool head and after a thorough cross of examination of his friends' attitude, he had finally concluded that he was having some kind of feelings for her, but that he had no idea of how to face them.

So, with a deep breath, he closed his eyes and stop up from the sofa where he was seated on and with a low tone, he walked up to his friend who was still caught up in a dilemma and with his hands holding onto his shoulders, his outlet got opened for him to voice out what he had to which was,

"To tell you the truth, I have never seen you looking so tensed and worried about a lady before worst still the pick up girls that you always have for a night. But the new him that I am having before me now, has been bewitched by some little girl who has taken his heart away with her purity which I think is a good thing.

The background gave birth to a somewhat repose mood between them and Blaze processed the info into his head, he finally asked him what he was talking about but their conversation was drastically been interrupted by his maid who called out to her bosses attention, stating that breakfast was served and he was the one who responded to her with a, " Thank you." Before watching the lad walk away into the kitchen where she was to continue with her chores. But his question, brought him back to their spot when he asked him,

"Can you tell me what is going on in that enormous mind of yours? I know that you have something in it so spill it out." Blaze said.

"Okay, you do not need to get all that tensed Blaze. Now here is what you can do for her. Since she is at the hospital with her mother, and you want to catch up for your mistake, why don't I accompany her later in the day, since it's a weekend, so that you can visit her and check up on how she is doing, and also another solution is for you to increase her salary so that she can take care of her sick mom as well."

He gave him the advice looking like a pro and with a smile on his face, he asked Blaze what he was thinking about that and he gawked at him deeply responding,

"The second option is good but the first is somehow hard because I do not think she will want to meet with me again in this life talk more of swing me at the hospital to coke check on her and her mom."

"But you know that is not true right, you are her boss, and both work in the same office. So, it will be impossible for you both not to meet so that thought has no place in this conversation." he muttered what he was thinking in his head which was correct and was something to take into consideration now, that his heart was starting to give him some signals that he found difficult to understand, let alone to control.

The operation had gone on successfully and she was happy to know that it was a big success. The number of hours that they had waited for was completely worth it and though her eyes were constantly giving out tears, she was there for her friend, and they both consoled themselves of whatever situation of was that they were going through this was pretty much what made them best buddies as well as friends for life.

She had told him to follow her to the restaurant that was outside the hospital so that they could grab something to eat but she was not wanting to leave her mom alone which was understanding. But after a long delineation with the doctor who was glad to inform her about her mother's condition, he had told her that, she was doing okay and all they were waiting for, was for her to wake up so that they could transfer her to the ICU( Intensive Care Unit) for proper check up and surveillance.

The day was already half and both her and she were exhausted and due to the fact that she had been so saturated, she had not gotten time to even think about what was going on with her, talk more about going through some posts and information online to get herself some kind of medication for the sex that she was from receiving.

But damn, her heart was so worried about what was going on which was her mother.

"I think you should eat more and have some good weight for the stress that work will give you alongside this and I am happy that aunt Ashlyn is doing okay." her rims let out with some food going into them but her senses coming up little by little, she was beginning to see how pale her friend looked so she asked if everything was okay and her food got stuck in her mouth.

"Yes, I am fine." She responded while pushing to the limit to swallow the bone that was in her neck. Yes, she had said that she was fine but for some reason, she could tell that she wasn't

"Thank you for taking care of mom last night and thank you for still being her toll now for us. I appreciate it." Ashlyn murmured out hose words won't her eyes showing all the sincerity that was in her but in wonder as to why she will go so emotional out of a sudden, she told her not to make mention because she and her mother had been her only real family ever since her father died in that tragic accident that had claimed both their lives.

She was already getting nervous and that was not a good sign for her neither was it for her because she had some knowledge of what could happen next which was something she was doing her best to avoid and that was she bursting out in tears right there at the restaurant in front of everyone.

"I feel so damaged right now her, I feel that my life is moving in circles and all I do is to weep every day and night with no way of getting out of it and it hurts so much." she continued with her story with tears already cropping up in her eyes and her, realizing that her friend was going through a serious worry, she could hot bear to just sit down there and do nothing knowing fully well that she was always there for her whenever she had issues in her life.

"Hey there, please look at me, and tell me what is wrong. You are stronger than me and you do not need to make things look so difficult whereas I am right here with you and ready to listen to what so ever that it is which is eating you up girl." she muttered softly with her lips letting out a courageous smile to her friend as a symbol of strength and not giving up.

"I am back to being single." She began and he opened her eyes widely, she found it difficult to believe what she had just said considering the challenges that she went through just to be able to keep her relationship with her boyfriend.

Him and Blaze were still at the dining table eating but him, did not look too good and from the look of things, his mood was not a perfect one as he had a lot that was going on inside his mind.

"Bro, chill and take things slowly as I have told you. If you are serious to make things work, then it will certainly work but you need to take things easy on yourself." he spoke out with the intention of making his friend to calm down a little bit so that he was not going to be having some kind of issues with his reasoning as regards the contract that they are to land on Monday with one of their biggest foreign investors.

Blaze was fully aware of the fact that he was acting very strange but what was he supposed to do? His kind and heart were giving her such a signal that he could not find any way to resist it from getting to him and sitting silently, while he thinks of a more proper thing to do, his mouth had no appetite for the delicious prawn dish which he had asked Grace to cook.

"I can't let you go in ma'am as I need to inform my boss about you being here." The noise was coming from outside but there was another voice as well, threatening the security agent that he was going to lose his job if he doesn't get his filthy hands.

Just as they were in the living room having their breakfast in the dining section, him and Blaze looked at each other in confusion while wondering what could be at the origin of the commotion and who the lady that was trying to force her way into the house was.
