Chapter 16
"How do you know?" she polled in a childish way and Ashlyn, letting out a smile on her lips, she notified she that she was not a kid and just like her, she was young too and got into a relationship as well. Taking her right hand from her body and taping the space that was by her on her sickbed, she told her to approach her so that she could tell her a little secret which she did.
"Now, if my suspicions are correct, you are crying for a man but do you know that, when you are crying for a bird that you have lost, it blurs your view from seeing the many others which are in the bush?" She asked her but her parable was so big that she found it difficult to understand so she asked Ashlyn what the matter was and she gladly crack it down for her.
Enlightening she about the many other things to do in life other than being in a relationship with a man, there is something called seld confidence that every woman should have as well as the spirit of letting go of that person who doesn't give them that love and protection that they deserve.
"If something is meant for you, it will never hurt you or make you to cry, and you should always pray for God to give you the peace to let it pass you by as well as make it to miss you while you have the grace to be patient enough to wait for what is designated for you. But if it belongs to you, also pray for the understanding to be able to know that this person or this thing is for me so no matter how tough it gets, I will always have reasons to smile and not cry."
She was very keen to listen to Ashlyn's words and those were very deep meanings which she was hearing for the first fine. Ashlyn was only making her to know that, she was not a problem in her relationship because knowing the kind of lady that she is, she was always giving her best in her relationships but, it was time for her to invest in herself and to love herself some more.
"But I really do love him Aunt Ashlyn, but he just broke my heart." she confided in sorrow making Ashlyn to actually feel her pain and to console her.
"You will be fine her, we are all here for you. And like I said, when true love finds you, then you will not need to struggle for anything because even the misunderstandings will be solved naturally without any cause for harsh and disrespectful words in the middle.
" Thank you, Aunt, I am grateful to God for having a second mom like you. And may he go in there with you and bring you back to us save sound, amen."
"Amen." Ashlyn, spoke out while making her way into the room with a smile all over her countenance.
"Ashlyn! How are you doing this morning friend?" she asked giving Ashlyn that sweet stare with her eyes winking together and she not wanting to fall into her trap that early morning. So, with her face concentrated on her mom, she threw plastic on her and rushed to hug her mother tightly because she had missed her so much.
"Mommy, I am here now, so nothing will happen to you okay? I do know that you are a fighter and as such, you will fight for your life just as you have been fighting till now. Do not give up because your little princess will be out here waiting for you to come back to her in one whole piece." she emptied the words that were inside of her with a deep gust of tears splashing out of her eyes.
"Why are you so emotional all of a sudden Ashlyn dear? Did anyone say something to you?" Ashlyn knowing her daughter so well, was forced to ask her that question after seeing how volatile she had released those words, and yes, it was really sentimental because it had brought she who was standing behind them to tears.
"Aunt Ashlyn, please make sure to come back to us. We will be here waiting for you to be back." she added to the tension that was already inside the room and that almost made Ashlyn to crack up instead.
"But Ashlyn, how did you manage to get such an amount for the operation within such a short time?" Ashlyn asked and her query had brought back her curiosity because, to the best of her knowledge, Ashlyn her friend had told her that she was going to think about the offer but she later did not tell her if she had finally accepted it or not so she was a little bit lost in the midst of all that.
Catching sight of how frustrated her friend was faced with the question, she knew that she had to save her so she interrupted and said,
"Aunt, you shouldn't be bothered about that okay? What we should be praying for now is for you to get out of that theater compartment save and sound so that we can jubilee together."
"Yes mom, she is right and that is the more reason why you shouldn't be thinking of anything else except for your healing okay process?" she added.
Of course, Ashlyn was no child but knowing that she was confined to that bed, there was not much she could do so all that was left was for her to brace her daughter to be prepared for whatever could go on.
The doctor had come in with the nurse allocated to Ashlyn, and it was time for her to be taken to the theatre in preparation for her surgery that was to begin in some minutes.
"I love you my little princess and remember, you do not have to be scared of anything because I am with you okay?" Ashlyn pulled out that stunt which only made her daughter's heart to almost fall into her stomach.
Ashlyn did not like her mother's last words, and it was very glaring as she stood there lost while her mother was been moved out of that room into the one that she was to climb on the table.
What was going to happen to Ashlyn I there and was she going to make it out of the operation room or will she remain there after that?
Staring at him deeply, he could tell that Blaze was not happy at all so with his sweet words and jokes, he told his friend about the child and to forget about her.
