Chapter 68: 68__A seductive husband
His aura overwhelmed her.
It held her mind captive, filling every thought and every ounce of awareness she possessed. Maia could barely blink as she felt warm, large hands stroke around her waist to hold her firmly against him.
The distance between them was non-existent, but even that wasn’t close enough for Rogan. He wanted to feel every inch of her body against his, he wanted her hands in his hair and her mouth on his neck. God, he *wanted* her
Rogan wrapped her in his arms, dangerously lowering his face to hers as she gazed up at him like she were seeing a divine being.
Wrapped in his seduction, Maia felt herself being moved backwards. The door behind her disappeared as Rogan moved forward, his powerful thighs forcing her to take steps back as he pushed her into the house.
Soon, he spun her around, slamming the door closed and pressing her against it. The dimness of the shadowy room swallowed them, but Maia clearly saw his green glowing eyes as he lowered his mouth to hers.
The moment his lips touched hers, her eyes fell closed as Maia felt an even stronger burst of attraction for him, her previous defences weakening under the power of his seduction.
He kissed her deeply, the taste of his lips on hers and his hands on her body starting a strangely familiar ache between her thighs. When Rogan released a groan of pleasure into her mouth, Maia felt the ache worsen and she clinched her thighs together, suddenly desperate to kiss him back.
Her hands stroked over the broad curves of his chest, gripping his body as she slid her fingers over his neck and into his hair. The feeling made Rogan want to weep tears of pleasure.
How did Maia make him feel *so* damn good? Every time she merely touched him, she had him weak for her. Willing to do anything for her! He, a powerful royal Vampire Sorcerer, practically on his knees for this big-eyed, bow and arrow-wielding little forest rabbit!
Rogan growled against her mouth, enraged by the knowledge that he didn’t really care if it was undignified for one as powerful as him to be at her mercy, he just wanted her, dammit. And he would be damned if she wanted him any less than he wanted her.
From the way she was devouring his mouth, however, Rogan had a feeling he could discard that worry. But it wasn’t enough. His mouth curved into a smile as she kissed him back with every ounce of her soul. Rogan groaned. It wasn’t enough.
He wanted more. He wanted her to be on the brink of her sanity for him! Just the way he could barely think straight, he wanted Maia to lose control with love and lust for him. He wanted her to get so crazy for him, she remembered every single second she’d spent with him.
Maia was damn nearly there, she could feel her sanity slipping as her desire for the strange man in her arms heightened.
When she felt his fingers teasing the silky softness of her thighs, her sanity nearly broke, and when he boldly stroked the moistened flesh between her thighs, Maia’s sanity just crashed.
Broken breaths dragged into her open mouth, her head tilting back as his hand expertly stroked, rubbed and teased her to madness.
Rogan didn’t take it easy on her, neither did he slow his actions, only watching her aroused expression as she tried and failed to keep it together.
She rose onto the tips of her toes, one of her hands wrapped around his wrist as his hand ruthlessly played with her.
It was a pleasure that Maia both didn’t and did want to get away from. It was so good, but so powerful. Too powerful. It felt like he had the power to make her soul his slave with just his hand between her legs.
She’d never known anything like it.
Bringing his lips to her exposed neck, Rogan let his mouth attack the soft flesh, drawing purrs out from between her lips. It was more than beyond Maia’s capacity and, with his tongue sucking on her neck and his fingers stroking in and out of her, Rogan felt her fall apart against him. The climax made her scream, her hands gripping his shoulders tightly as her legs lost their strength.
Gently kissing her lips, he continued to rub her until her body stopped shivering and she’d regained some strength in her legs.
Smiling, Rogan stroked his hands back to her waist, hugging her to him as she caught her breath. There was nothing as beautiful as watching Maia lose control for him.
He hadn’t planned what just happened. He’d only wanted to kiss her because he’d missed her so goddamn much, but then both their desires had taken over.
Rogan didn’t regret a damn thing.
He petted the back of her head, stroking her hair. “You okay, little love?”
The gentle words floated into Maia’s ear, rose calmly into her brain and then kicked the hell out of her sleeping sense.
With a gasp, she shoved him away, plastering herself flat against the door like a pancake with wide eyes.
Rogan blinked at her, displeased by the whole three feet of distance now between their bodies. “Is something wrong?”
Maia stared at up him, trying desperately but failing to wrap her head around what had just transpired between them.
How had he done that? Why had *she* done that? She’d let him *kiss* her! Her eyes widened. That wasn’t all. Clenching her thighs together, she felt the tell-tale signs of pleasure ripple through her body.
She’d let him give her pleasure with his fingers! Maia slapped a hand over her mouth.
Rogan pressed his lips together. Ah, dammit. Of course. She’d forgotten him, why the hell had he forgotten that? Certainly, now she was struggling under an avalanche of confusion at her body’s reaction to his touch.
With a calm sigh, he stepped forward. “It’s okay, little love, calm down. I’ll explain why—
Maia ripped the front door open and, before Rogan knew it, her hands were against his back, pushing until he was right out of her house.
The door slammed shut behind his back, stunning Rogan.
With his mouth hanging open in shock, he spun around and looked at the closed door.
Had she just closed her *door* on him? The effrontery!
“Maia?!” he called in a high tone of disbelief. “If you don’t open this door right now!”
The bolt slid sharply into place behind the closed door.
Rogan scoffed. She’d *locked* it?! He put his hands on his hips. “Look, I know you don’t remember me, which I’m still puzzled by. Who the hell forgets this *sinfully* handsome face?! But, isn’t it a little too much to kick me out?!” She didn’t answer and Rogan scoffed. “Do you have any idea how many women would literally *murder* you to take your place?!” He looked down at the ground with a frown. “Not that I’d let them. I’d toast them, every last one, before they touched her.”
Regaining focus, he looked at the door again. “Maia, come on, don’t do this. Open up, let’s talk.”
His deep, inner villain hissed at him to break that puny little door down, but Rogan shut him up. This was Maia he was dealing with. She could have an arrow through his neck before he’d even put both feet inside her house.
He was not about to underestimate the forest rabbit. He, of all people, knew better.
With an impatient yell, he marched to the end of the porch, planting himself before her window.
Inside, he saw Maia, pacing restlessly in her living room.
Rogan frowned. What was she doing? Her hands rose to grip her hair before wildly tousling it, an act of obvious frustration. Rogan tilted his head.
Raising a hand, he knocked a finger against the glass of her windows. “Maia! What the devil are you doing in there?”
She spun around, looking at him with narrowed eyes of irritation. That brute! With an angry huff both at him and herself, Maia marched over to the window and violently pulled the curtains closed.
“Go away!” she yelled at the swaying curtains.
She spun back around to march off and *there* he was! In her house!
Rogan frowned. “Did you just close your curtains on me?”
With a shriek, she attacked him, beating every exposed part of his body with her fists. “How dare you… come into my *house*?! Who. Are. You?! Take that! And that! You brute!”
Why had he just appeared like a ghost out of nowhere, frightening her?! She’d deal with him!
“Ow! Ow, ow, ow! Maia, wait— ow!” Rogan was saying as her fists nearly made holes in his body. Why did it actually hurt?! Why had she grown like a hundred times stronger— Ah. Right. He did that, damn it.
She didn’t stop the assault, gritting her teeth with even more effort.
“Calm down!” he yelled, trying to withdraw from her pounding fists.
She followed him around the house, delivering blow after blow. “Who *are* you?!”
Rogan felt a grin pull at his mouth and barely controlled it. “Who am *I*?! Listen, I’m like your *husband*!”
Maia’s fists froze in mid-air as she stared at him. She blinked. “What?”
Rogan blinked back. ‘What?”
He frowned at himself. Why the hell had he gone and said *that*?
“Y-you’re… you’re my *husband*?”
He stared at her for a moment more, brain cells working rapidly in his head. He’d blurted out absolute nonsense and it had calmed her down. Well… this could be his only chance.
Clearing his throat, Rogan shamelessly nodded. “That’s right, I’m your husband. Hello. *Wife*.”
