Rain's Pov.

*Six Months Later*

Peace. Recovery. Happiness.

These three things were what I thought our pack would never experience again after the atrocities meted out on us by the Slayers. But I guess I was wrong.

For the past few months, these three things have begun to trickle back into our midst. The pack members are back on their feet, rejoicing over the newfound peace and connection we made with the humans. A week ago, Logan called for a conference between werewolves and humans in the town square.

All of the people of Oakdale were in attendance, listening as my mate addressed them on the importance of peace between our beings.

Oakdale has been divided into two parts. North Oakdale is occupied by humans and South Oakdale, is occupied by our kind.

Regardless of the clear boundary, people still choose to live where they desire as long as they're willing to obey the other's norms. The North Oakdale is now under the leadership of Simon Cooper, the man who led the renegade army that fought against the Slayers.

Simon and his men are better rulers than I expected.

This freedom and peaceful co-existence has led to cross-breeding between werewolves and humans who give birth to offsprings we regard as "wereman"

Yeah, the whole concept is still new and we're all trying to adapt to it. Weremans do not shift completely like we do but they possess a little bit of werewolf abilities such as speed, mini teleporting capabilities, furs on human skin which usually appear at night, and mismatched eyes-- amber and any other colors that humans possess.

To be honest, weremans seem to possess more beauty than core werewolves or complete humans. I kind of envy them.

The thoughts make me smile so hard that I've forgotten I was teaching some pups.

"Luna, what's making you smile?" One of the pups asks, pulling me away from my reverie. I cast my eyes down, taking in the pups.

Teaching has helped me to heal on the side. I never knew I could find delight in such a job but I did. Seeing the pups' faces helps to chase the demons that haunt me in the dark recesses of my mind.

Now, I feel all splendid, well except my fetus that keeps attacking me.

I was just about to respond to the pup's question about why I was smiling when I felt that kick in my belly.

I wince and swallow. I do not want anyone to fuss over me. The pack members seem to have been corrupted by Logan, they hardly let me lift a muscle at all, saying that I'm carrying the pack's heir, so I shouldn't undergo any form of stress.

This teaching I'm doing only happened by my insistence, or else Logan would seclude me to our room.

"Oh, ahh. I was only smiling because I love the weather," I reply to the pup.

"Me too, Luna. It makes my hair so silky..." A female pup chimes in, referring to the fall afternoon weather.

I beam at her response and then open up the page of the book I was reading to them.

"And the alpha and his pack members stood as a united force to fight against the evil that had plagued them for over centuries,"

"Wow!" The pups murmur, enjoying the story. I've decided the story about the second supernatural war will be put down in history books for all to read.

I want my people to always remember how strong and resilient they are in the face of adversity.

While the lesson goes on, I hear distant laughter seeping into my ears. I crane my head up, surprised to see Irene smacking alpha Yazi's shoulder while he's carrying her basket of fruits.

They pause midway as she leans in and whispers something into his ear.

These two are becoming a thing these days. Always together. Always chattering and I love it. It makes the old alpha return to his former self. Hi's beauty is now bursting out, spreading all over. If I don't know better I'll assume he's Logan's elder brother because of his physique.

My eyes widen as the alpha steals a kiss from Irene's lips. My jaw drops as I blink rapidly.

When did they start kissing?

Before I wrap my head around it, someone puts their hands over my eyes, blinding me.

"Guess who?" He says.

Smiling, I let out. "Logan, I know it's you!"

Logan hisses, pulling his hand away. "I guess I suck at this game!"

I laugh hard, smacking his chest as he rounds the chair and takes a seat beside me. The pups stand, hugging Logan.

"Alright, pups, you're all dismissed for today!"

Happily, the pups chirp as they skitter away while I turn my wide eyes at Logan!

"What are you doing? We're not done with today's classes!" I hiss, pretending to be pissed.

"Sorry, my Luna but I've something to show you,"

"What is that?" I question, wondering what could be so important that he shooed the pups away.

"Follow me!" He rises, outstretching a hand to me. Tentatively, I clasp it and he pulls me to my feet. We pass through the hedges and foliage that surround our new pack house.

The pack house was built opposite Oakdale High. The compound is massive and the building itself is a huge Victorian house with a white facade.

We pass through the servants who send endless greetings our way until Logan and I pause before a door.

Again, he covers my eyes as he leads me into the room.

"Can I see now?" I ask, eager to feast my eyes on what he has to show me.

"Alright. One. Two. Three!!!!"

"Congratulations Luna!"

My father and Lester scream as Logan cuts the ribbon that's placed immediately after the door.

I gasp, my mouth falling open as I take in the beautiful nursery painted sun yellow color, teeming with toys of various kinds and two cribs.

I admire the nursery in utter shock but suddenly when I realize what Logan's hinting at, I turn and cut a look at him.

"Two cribs? Really?" I cry out.

"Of course, baby. You're carrying my twins!"

"How can you know that?" I scream, not believing him one bit.

Logan chuckles as my father and the beta watches us. I hate that he's romancing me before my dad but my dad doesn't seem to care. Logan can really decide to fuck me in front of him and the man wouldn't budge, yikes!

"Because I can feel their heartbeat..." He smiles, kissing me.

I've learned to accept the fact that Logan will love me and our child whether they're biologically his or not.

By sundown, we all gather in front of the house like we always do at night. Me, Logan, Tiago, Yazi, Irene, beta Lester, and Nadia.

We've set up a grill with Logan roasting marshmallows and meat, feeding it all to me.

Goddess, I've eaten so much, my jaws are now aching, and yet Logan insists I continue to 'eat for the kids,' he'd say.

"I told ya, I'm gonna learn how to navigate more modern technology!" Lester chirps as he plays games on his phone.

"Is that so important than finding a mate?" My father quips at the beta.

"Nah! I like free fucks, Tiago. You know that one," The beta quips just as Logan takes a seat beside me, munching on his marshmallow. I feel Nadia's eyes lingering on Lester. She has feelings for him, the only problem is that the beta doesn't know yet and kills Nadia on the inside.

I hope one day he will.

"Want more, baby?" He asks me and I roll my skyward.

"You want to overfeed me, Logan..." I snap, smiling at him.

While we're all talking, Logan's father, Yazi, clears his throat, drawing our attention.

"Uhh, everyone, there's something I'd like to tell you," He says.

"Is something wrong, father?" Logan bristles, worry marring his features.

"None, son." He waves him off. "It's just...um...,"

"Yazi and I are second-chance mates," Irene says, shocking all of us.

"WHAT!?" We all chorus as they both hold hands.

"Is that even a thing?" Lester blurts, blinking rapidly.

"Well, at first, we...uh doubted it but the bond kept pulling at us until uh...we marked each other," Yazi stutters.

"You've marked each other already, dad?" Logan sounds so shocked.

"Aye,"

At their response, I stand up to congratulate them when my water breaks!

"Congra....ouuu!!"

"Luna!"

"Rain!"

Voices echo around me but all I feel is the urge to push the beings inside me out.

Immediately, Logan and the rest rush me to the infirmary.

____

"My luna, you did it..." Logan's voice echoes the moment I wake up. I blink him into focus and see him carrying our child.

But it's not just him.

Irene is carrying one too, smiling down at it.

I hoot in surprise, a smile breaking on my lips.

"Twins?" I ask, not believing it, and Logan nods.

He leans down and kisses me tenderly.

"Thank you for giving me this gift, Rain." He whispers against my lips.

Opening my arms, he hands me the baby he's carrying while Irene sits the other one in my free arm.

They're girls!

My heart zings at the sight of my munchkins. They smell so nice I can't help kissing them.

"They're beautiful," I whisper as others come into the room, bearing gifts.

"They are, baby." Logan agrees, staring at our children. "What do we name them?" He asks me.

I stare at the one with silver eyes like Logan's and smile. Staring back at my mate, I name her, "Kylie," in memory of my friend.

Logan's hums, nodding in understanding. This is the closest I can keep Kylie in my heart.

"What will you name her?" I ask him, referring to the other one that has my red hair and plump lips.

"I will name her Destiny. She is the embodiment of our lives as fated mates."

I lean into Logan and kiss him immediately as my heart blossoms with joy.

The others begin to clap for us as tiny growls ring throughout the room, causing Logan and I to stop kissing briefly.

We look down at the twins and see them sporting their fangs and claws. That's when I knew, the children were Logan's biologically.

That makes us hug each other hard and kiss with passion as Irene and Yazi take the twins outside to announce them to the pack members.

"Rain, I will love you till eternity," Logan says to me as the whole pack rejoices at the news of the twins. I look up at him too, smiling as I link our fingers together.

"I AM FOREVER YOURS, MY ALPHA."

The end.
