Rain's Pov.

"Stop it!!" Logan hollers but I don't stop. My claws slip out, borrowing into the skin of my arms and ripping off the flesh. Blood splooges, melding with the water as it rushes down the drain.

"Rain, goddess!!!" Logan growls, horror shock on his face as he bangs on the stall. I had deliberately locked it, knowing Logan would come after me and try to stop me.

I don't need him to stop me. I've to wash off this filth. I pull at my hair, tugging at the strands and it makes my scalp burn.

The water sluicing down my body is extremely hot but it's not hot enough to wash off the filth.

"Haha! Look at her taking my cock!" Their laughter vibrates in my ears.

Their strokes brim my mind. The way their fingers sank into my skin, bruising me as I cried. It's all I think about.

Their proposal. The bloody wedding dress. Their chant.

All of it.

I can't breathe. I can't see anything except the dark basement. The torture. Their faces. Their dicks. Their teeth as they bared it in a smile.

Them. It's all about them. And the result of their wickedness on me that's just about sprouting out on my belly.

The hot water slips through my nipples as I zone out.

"Fuck!!! Rain!!! Open the door!!!" Logan's voice is a distant trill. Only the sound of the spray cascading down my body that I can hear as it entangles with the sound of their mock-laughter.

"You belong to us. Just like your mother was." Mr. Hanks's voice reverberates in my ear.

A distant thud echoes followed by Logan's voice but I don't jolt.

I let the water wash through me.

A moment later, the stall door opens and Logan barges in.

"Fuck!! Oh, baby!" He lets out a bunch of expletives before racing over to the faucet and turning it off.

"No!!! Put it on!!! I want to wash!!! Put it on!" I roar mindlessly and begin to hit Logan as I cry.

He has to put it on, I want to wash the filth away.

"No more, baby. No more," Comes Logan's voice. He tentatively reaches out his hand. He hisses when it comes in contact with my skin but he still holds on.

From holding one arm, he wraps them both around me, clutching me to his chest. That's when I break down.

I cry so heavily even as Logan holds me. My legs are unable to hold me as I tumble down. Logan settles on the floor with me, holding me to his chest, his arms wrapped around my waist.

He coos in my ears while I tear up, the dark past filtering through me.

"I promise you, baby, they're going to pay," He vows in my ear, cajoling me. I pant as I hold onto his arm.

"It's not your baby, Logan..." I seethe, my eyes filling with tears. "It's theirs..."

"No, Rain." He hisses, threading his hand through my wet hair. "It's my pup. Mine,"

"How could you say that? Those vile men forced themselves on me. Splooged all over me. You shouldn't say that..."

I try to pull away from his arms but Logan refuses. "I'll be damned if I ever let you go."

Oh, goddess. This man is totally out of his mind. He doesn't know what he's saying. He should hate me. He should push me away.

I wriggle again under his grip as my cheeks burn with embarrassment.

"Please...just...reject me, Logan. Please." I splutter. I know rejection is the best solution to this. I can't bear to look at Logan knowing I'm carrying another man's child.

"You and I will be together forever, Rain. No one will ever separate us..." He palms my cheeks, gazing into my eyes. His silver ones gleaming with determination. "This child is mine whether biologically or not. As far as it's growing inside you, it's automatically mine, Rain,"

I freeze momentarily, my swollen, red-streaked eyes looking into his. My mouth parts on an exhale as I trace my finger over his lips.

"Why? Why do you still choose to stay? I do not deserve you, Logan. I don't..."

"Can one's body function without their soul?" He asks me, equally gliding his fingers over my lips. "It can't, Rain. For me to function I need my soul with me, and you, Rain Imegro, are my soul. I can't function without you. My soul lies in your hands from the very first day I set my eyes on you, baby,"

A trickle of tears races down my cheek. I suck in a sharp breath and quickly bump into Logan's arms. I hug him tightly while I weep. My entire being needs this man to survive. I don't know how I can navigate this pregnancy stage without him by my side.

I break away from his arms and plaster my lips over his in a heated kiss. A kiss that borders on survival. Logan groans, wanting to control the kiss but I feel him holding himself back.

He's afraid for me. I don't know if I can ever be intimate with him after passing through those horrors.

'You can...' Riot chirps in my mind. This time her voice is strong. At that, I give in and that sends a signal to Logan. He surrounds my waist with his arms, ravaging me with a hot, long, and coaxing kiss.

The broken pieces of my heart suture together at that moment. Panic reels in but I know Logan. My mate can never hurt me. Clinging to that knowledge, I part my legs for him as he towers over me, trailing the kisses down my neck.

But just as he tries to enter me, a searing pain slashes through me.

"No. No. I'm not...ready." I gasp, pushing him away.

Logan sits back, swallowing as he curses himself.

"Fuck, Rain. I shouldn't have. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." I chant as I fight against the images in my head. "I'm just...not ready."

While another set of tears runs down my cheeks, Logan holds me tight.

"I'm here, Rain. I'm not going anywhere and until you're ready, I will be waiting." He places a chaste kiss on my lips and helps me to my feet.

Silently, Logan bathes me, towels me off, and helps me into a new set of pajamas.

He sets off to speak with his beta after telling me how the mayors will be executed. I can't wait to see them lifeless.

A while later, I decide to head downstairs and get some drink that'll help me cool off. Lycans can drink alcohol even while pregnant, unlike humans and werewolves.

I thank the goddess for that unique ability and head into the kitchen. Just as I move through the doorway, I spot a man sitting on the Island.

A glass of wine sits in front of him.

"Hercules, I thought you said alcohol helps people to forget their problems?" Comes the man's raspy voice.

I freeze, taking him in from behind. He's huge just like Logan. The same silky hair and skin color.  The same aura as Logan's wafting off of him.

"You're not res...pending...?" He whirls with words dripping out of his mouth. However, he pauses when he sees it's not Logan. Alpha Yazi's silver-gray eyes scan over me before dimming in concentration. "I know you...?"

My eyes blink. I'm surprised that he remembers. I thought Logan said his memory Isn't completely intact?

"Oh, don't worry, I remember everything now, Child."

I inch closer to him, unsure of what to expect. "You remember how we met? All the things that happened?" I blurt, gazing intently at him.

Alpha Yazi stands up and saunters towards me, dropping the glass of wine in his hand. "Yes, I remember it all,"

He grimaces, almost shedding a tear. "I can't believe all that happened..."

"It wasn't your fault. They made you do it..."

He shakes his head, wheezing. "I wish to forget it all. I can't believe I nearly killed my son's mate."

The quiver and guilt in his voice get to me. Unknowingly, I cross the distance between us and envelope the man in a hug.

We both weep into each other's shoulders until there are no more tears left. I pull away and help wipe his wet cheeks.

"It's all in the past now. They can never harm us again, alpha Yazi..." I take in a breath and add. "I forgive you for everything. But mostly, I want you to forgive yourself for everything too."

He breaks into a watery smile and nods. "Logan's lucky to have you, Rain. You're just like his mother. I pray the goddess blesses your union..."

With that, we both settle on the Island and decide to drink away the past, dark memories.

"To victory..." He says, raising his glass.

"To victory," I chime, clinking my glass to his and downing the whole drink in one go.

"Now, what is going on here?"

I blink, surprised to see Logan, Lester, and my father, Tiago, coming into the kitchen.

"A toast to victory..." I hum as Logan hugs me, kissing my hair.

"Is that true?" He cocks a brow at me and I nod. "Then let's also toast to the death of the Slayers tomorrow..."

"Really?" I gasp, happy to hear the news. I can't wait for tomorrow to arrive. I await their deaths with bated breath.
