Chapter 51: Impluse

FIFTY-FOUR

LEONE

I pulled my hair by the roots, annoyed with everything, and everyone. No-one understood boundaries anymore. Though, I was their friend, it didn’t give the the right to act like they did. I had no idea how long I would keep tolerating all these nonsense.

The urge to take Lynn away from the crowd was going strong. Without a moment’s hesitation, I walked over to her side of the school. The students were trooping out in numbers, and they were mumbling things under her breath.

It seemed like something had happened, but what could that be? As I inched closer to the lecture room where most of the arts project was being handled, I noticed that Lynn’s friend was shaking at the side of the door, as she tried to get someone to help.

“Harriet,” I called out on impulse.

She turned at the sound of my voice, as her eyes went wild in shock. I didn’t normally get inside this place, but it was the first time that I was here, hence her shock. But, she quickly recovered as she walked over to me. I heard one of her friends tell her not to tell me about any of it.

What was it that they didn’t want to tell me about?

“Are you all right?” I asked calmly.

She smiled stiffly. Although, I didn’t know her so well, but I knew that she was not her normal self. There was an air of anxiety around her. It was thick, but I waited. I couldn’t really do anything if she didn’t help me out.

“Yes,” I’m fine,” she managed.

I nodded. “Well, I have been out of the department for a while, but Lynn isn’t coming out. Though, I haven’t tried to call her. I’m kind of in a hurry. Can you help me out here?” I asked calmly.

She pulled her bag closer to her shoulders, as she cast a sideways glance at her friend. The lady was giving her signs not to say anything. Oh, that was not so suspicious!

“Did something happen to Lynnette?” I asked in fright.

She turned back to me, and she was avoiding my gaze.

“Harriet!” I asked on impulse.

At that moment, I heard a chill scream. I took one look at Harriet, and then, her friend. My feet was moving, and then, I paused. I turned back to look at her and she was visibly shaking. That was Lynn’s voice. I had to do something to save her.

“She is your friend, right? Where the fuck did she go? If anything happens to Lynn, I swear, I wouldn’t let you live in peace,” I ground out.

She shivered as she punted to the classroom at the far length. I wasted no time getting there. It was locked. They locked it from the inside. I placed my ear at the door, trying to hear something, but I couldn’t make out anything.

Did Harriet tell me the truth, or…?

Turning back to ascertain from her, I noted that both Harriet and the friend had vanished. There was no-one in the hall. It was just me. Fuck! I would have to take this risk. The though of something happening to Lynn was driving me insane and I couldn’t even imagine it.

I took a deep breath, as I pulled back slightly. Then, I used all my energy on the door. It gave way, though pain shot through my shoulder blade. All that paled, when I noticed that 4 guys were circled around in the lecture room, and were smirking at someone.

Could it be Lynn?

My heart pounded erratically against my ribcage. There was only one way to find out. I would have to check it. The fact that they were still pretending that they had no idea that someone had come in on them, was more suspicious. The door had made a loud bang.

“Lynn?” I called out.

I noticed how rigid they stood, but at last, they turned to look at me. These boys were known for being troublesome. When, they parted slightly, Lynn was at the middle, and she was strapped to a chair with a tie. The side of her cleavage was exposed to their eyes and mine.

“How dare you do this?” I screamed as I shot forward.

“What are you going to do about it, eh?” One of the guys taunted.

I glared daggers at him, but he only smirked like he found my reaction quite laughable. At the corner of my eyes, the other was stroking Lynn’s cheek, who was doing all she can to stop him. I felt my stomach churn.

“You wouldn’t like what I would do to you if you don’t leave her right now!” I thundered.

They all laughed in unison and it only served to provoke me even more. Then, the first person spoke open once more. “Come on, we all know you want to tap that ass. She is your step-sister, but not your real one. Come and enjoy with us, dear?” He said softly like he was doing me some sort of favour.

“You fucking bastard!” I said as I ran butthead into them. Lynn was trying to scream, but it came out muffled, thanks to the gag.

I took down the first guy easily. Then clammed into more of the guys, with my fist. I felt someone punch me on my rib, and that made me more angry, as I twisted her hands painfully, breaking the fist in the process. They were about six, and it was just me, hitting, pushing kicking and pushing. I made sure I gave each of them a black eye.

The other threw one of the thrash at me, but I dodged it. As I fought with them, my eyes never left Lynn’s for a moment. I wanted to make sure that she was fine, and there wouldn’t be any unnecessary surprise. It would annoy me if that were to be the case. I needed he to be fine, and safe for as long as ever. I needed her to be happy, and filled with so much love that her little heart wouldn’t be able to take it. But, first, I needed to take down these bastards.

“Lynn, hold out,” I called out slowly.

I slammed one of the boys against the wall, and kicked him right where it would hurt the most, at his little man. I felt a pull on my shirt collar, and I jabbed at once. The idiot grunted in pain. I didn’t wait for him to recover, as I dragged him by the arm, slamming him against the other guy with full force. The two made a heightened cry of pain.

Before long, the men were scrambling out of the lecture room on their knees. I couldn’t even think much as I went over to Lynn untying her from the damn chair, and removing the ridiculous gag from her mouth. I helped her to the window as she spat out the whole thing, and then, sagged against me.

My hands calmly comforted her as I tried to make her feel better. She cried. I hated when she cried, and those bastards had made her cry. Fuck! Did I hit them enough?

“I…” she trailed off.

“Don’t say a word,” I said softly.

I sat her back down, and proceeded to button her shirt back. I couldn’t even think that these idiots had touched my woman. This had to stop! I couldn’t keep allowing people to walk over her. Should I start reading arts too, so I would be able to protect her even more?

“Gregory started it. They wished to frisk me. No-one came to my aid. The students simply filed out, and then, he made a move, pulling me out of there, and into this lecture room. I tried to fight, but they were so strong,” she cried.

I pulled her against my chest. “They are so weak to do this to a woman. You don’t have to worry, Lynn. I’m here now. Did something…”

She pushed herself closer to me, and mumbled something I couldn’t quite make out. I soothed her wordlessly. I would ask her again when she was better, but right now, we needed to get the hell out of this place.

It was a shame that no-one tried to help people around here, and that was in itself was distressing. They left a girl on her own with six boys? The other guys could easily have taken them down if they wanted to, but they didn’t do anything.

I pulled her up slightly, as she clung to me. “We will get you out of here,” I said softly.

“Please, do. It’s just you I trust,” she said softly.

My heart squeezed tight at her words, and I held her even closer. I didn’t care about how we looked right now, as we walked out of the lecture room, and towards the parking lot. Anyone was free to make their deductions. Lynn needed me, and I was going to be there for her.
