Chapter 48: Trouble?

FIFTY-ONE

LEONE

“Man,” Edgar hyped as he slapped me at the back. “I swear, you need to get laid.”

I was seated at the bottom of an oak tress with my friends surrounding me at all sides. They had been harping for 30 minutes about girls and how much we needed them in our group. It was an exciting conversation, though it was a bit weird. It was the time of conversation that I tried not to have on a normal day.

I scoffed in line with Edgar’s question. “Blondie, no man’s got time to get laid,” I said easily.

The men laughed at me like what I had said was exceptionally funny. Sometimes, I wondered why I hung out with them. They were the absolute worst, and that was saying something. I needed to move more with people who would be able to impact me well, and not a bunch of crazy teasers. Ok, that is a bit extreme.

“Sorry, man,” Edgar said sarcastically. “But, you don’t have a girlfriend. It’s so obvious.

I turned to look at him, and his blue eyes twinkled mischievously. “Who says?”

James laughed heartily. “What a joke!”

I groaned. “I’m not joking. I have a girlfriend, and she is so hot, she can melt a boulder,” I said with a grin, thinking about Lynn.

The men laughed like I had said the funniest joke in a long while. I knew they didn’t believe a word I said, and that only made me feel worse.

“Leone, stop lying,” Edgar said dramatically.

I frowned. “I’m not…”

“Ok, show us the babe,” Phillip demanded hotly.

My heart skipped at those words. I got up shakily, dusting my pants. “Eh, I’m tired of this conversation, guys. I have a lot to do today, and I can’t afford to be the butt of your jokes,” I mumbled firmly.

They all gave me a look like I was the cutest in the group, and that annoyed me so much. If only they knew I wasn’t lying about having a girlfriend, they would eat back those expression off their faces. I smirked inwardly at that.

“Right, we are sorry, ok? Don’t get mad. We wouldn’t badger you again,” Edgar said softly, taking it upon himself to apologise, since he was the one who started all these in the first place.

I sighed at their nonsense. Honestly, I didn’t want to stay here again. I grabbed my bags from the table, and walked as fast as I could till I was now far into the campus lounge. Stroking my hands through my hair, I thought of going over to Lynn’s art class, but doubted that she would like it. Plus, we didn’t need too much attention to ourselves.

Damn!

That sucked because I wanted to claim her so everyone would know what she was mine, but I couldn’t do that either. This was just so annoying, but it was a matter of time. No-one would be able to understand that I was in love with my stepsister, so there was no way now, other than hiding it from the world.

I turned over to the library area, and there, I stayed for the most of my time. There were a lot of law books I was reading. It interested me, though I had no interest on actually practicing the course, but I loved to hoard all the necessity codes and conducts that made the most of the book. It was a good moment for me.

After 45 minutes, I decided to go back down. It was time to go home. I winked at the librarian, a touchy old woman, called Mrs Griffin, and then made my way out of the library. Outside was pure chaos. There were students everywhere trying to meet up with their lectures. I walked over to a lone tree, and paid close attention to my surroundings.

That was when I saw Lynn. She had a hand full of books, and she was talking animatedly to one of her course mates. A girl with short brown curls. Her smile was everything, and when they said their goodbyes, I wish I could easily run to her, peck her on the cheek, and then walk out of here like the world didn’t matter. But, I couldn’t possibly do that.

Instead I waited, till she was close to where I stood, looking intently forward like she could easily leave without me. I pulled her by the hand and she gasped in shock as she jerked forward. Her books clutter to the floor around us, and her hands touched my chest in shock.

“It feels so good rattling you this way,” I said softly.

She glared at me. “It’s not funny, Leone. You scared the daylights out of me.” She whined.

I smirked at her.

In this angle, no-one would notice us at all, though, it wasn’t really good to take chances, but it felt so good holding her this way. I wanted to do it for as long as I could. She was so delectable, and sweet, and it drove me crazy without too much work.

“Leone, let go of me. We are out in public. What if someone sees us?” she whined.

I shrugged without a care in the world. “They would notice how much I love you, Lynn.”

She rolled her eyes at me. “Stop being silly,” She playfully pushed me away, and then went down on one knee, picking her books from the ground.

Damn! I had never actually noticed before because I was so intent on taking her clothes off, but she had such a round ass. It was so cute on a white girl, and it made me smile lightly. Lynn was just too precious. She was an asset.

She looked up slightly, shaking her head at me. Did she know what I was thinking?

“You know, you can help me pick these books, right?” She asked sarcastically.

Fuck! “I know that’s an excuse for me to come closer to you, and I don’t mind actually,” I said softly.

She blushed as she let her long hair cover her face slightly. She was just so adorable, and that was saying something. I didn’t want to leave her alone for a minute. She was just so enchanting and pure.

“You wish,” she taunted.

I lowered myself to the ground, and made a show of picking her books up for her, when my head bumped into hers. “Ouch!” We said as one. I pulled her head closer, as I used my palm to rub on hers, ignoring my own pain.

Helping her with the most of her pain, helped me to take care of my pain. Before long, my lips were on her head like a kiss. She moved first, taking her books with her.

“We are not alone, Leone,” she pointed out.

I groaned with a sigh as I picked the rest of the books, getting up with a sigh. The place was half-deserted, though there were a few students lounging around the place. Lynn was right. It was not the place or time to act so carefree.

“Don’t look so sad. I’m sure there would be a way to spend some quality time together,” she said softly.

I smiled at her. “I’m optimistic, too. I want to take you out on a date. I have not had the opportunity to spoil you in weeks, and that is making me feel so sad. I need to make you feel good.”

She smiled, as she blushed at the same time. “Ok, then,” she said softly, looking down at her hands. “I would be waiting for you at home.”

I smirked.

Back home, things didn’t quite go as we had planned. Lynn had been whisked by her mom immediately she came home, to help her with a crochet. It seemed that Racquez had picked up a new habit, and was looking for who she could indulge it with.

It was such a bad timing, and I hated her for it. Couldn’t she choose another time? Well, it’s not like I had a way to stop her from doing these things. I would have to bear with it to the best of my abilities. That was the only option now.

The day went down in the same motion, and Isabella came countless times to annoy me, before she finally retired to her room. Today, I didn’t go down to eat dinner. I couldn’t bear seeing my dad’s face. I might box him in if that were to happen after the lies he had told me.

I sat upright on the bed, and moved my fingers through my skin. It was 11 pm now, but I wasn’t tired, so I had decided to go through the naughty messages that Lynn texted me yesterday. It made me feel more aroused and frustrated.

Maybe, I should man enough to go to her room. No! That would put her in trouble.

It was then, that a hand sneaked around my shoulders, giving me a squeeze.
