Chapter 26

Liam's POV

I couldn't believe what was going on. It felt like a dream.

A bad dream.

Brandon was acting like a different person. He was behaving like a lunatic. I had never seen this side of him before. And, the scariest part was, he was serious. There was no trace of hesitation or uncertainty in his voice. He was dead serious about his threats.

His eyes were dark and cold. His voice was stern and his tone was harsh. He had ripped my shirt. It was torn and half open, exposing my chest. My boxers were tight and somehow visible. He was staring at my body. And, his gaze made me feel uncomfortable. It was so embarrassing.

But, his eyes looked different. There was no lust in them. Just rage and madness. It was as though he was looking through my body. He didn't say a word. He just stared at me with an evil smirk on his face. The tears were streaming down my face.

Brandon was being so aggressive. His grip on me was tight and forceful. He was so angry. So angry. His expression was cold and frightening. There was a strange expression on his face. A dark, sinister look. He continued to take pictures of my exposed chest and body.

He had me cornered. There was no one around and he was much stronger than me. I couldn't move or resist.

"You're so beautiful. Do you have any idea how much I wanted this moment? How much I've waited for this?" He said, as the phone camera clicked repeatedly.

"Please. Stop taking those pictures. Stop taking pictures of me of me, Brandon."

I begged him to stop.

"Please. Please." I screamed.

"Please, Brandon.Don't do this." I pleaded.

I tried to struggle out of his grip. But, his hand was too tight and firm around my mouth. Brandon had no plans of letting me go. I knew that if I didn't do something fast, he would succeed and he would have his way with me. He was strong and had the upper hand.

If I didn't do anything, Brandon would use those photos and he would destroy my life. He would spread them around the campus and no one would respect me.

Even worse, I would get expelled from the university. It would be the end of my career. I kicked him hard and he stumbled back.

"Owwww." He yelled.

"Fvck. You little bitch."

He glared at me with his eyes filled with rage.

"How dare you. You little s-lut. Come here."

He came towards me. I dodged his punch. He missed.

"Aaarrgghhh. You're gonna pay for this." He threatened.

I tried to run away. My feet were moving faster than my brain. I ran as fast as I could. I had to get out of there. I had to escape from him.

The air in my lungs was burning. My legs were trembling and my head was spinning. I knew I had to escape. If I didn't, only God knew what would happen to me. And, the thought was terrifying.

He was chasing after me. His footsteps were getting louder and louder. I had to keep running. The darkness and the silence were all around me. I couldn't see where I was going. Brandon was quickly gaining on me. He was right behind me. His presence was palpable.

My heart was beating so fast and loud that I could hear it clearly. I was scared. Terrified.

"Stop." He shouted.

I looked back and accidentally tripped over a rock. I fell on the ground. My elbow hit a hard object and the pain was unbearable.

I could feel the blood running down my arm.

"Aaarggghhh. Owww." I groaned.

My legs were throbbing. They hurt badly. I tried to stand up. But, the pain was unbearable. My vision was blurred. I couldn't see properly. Everything was spinning around. Brandon was standing over me. He was looming over me.

He bent down and dragged me by the hair.

"Ahhhh." I yelled out in pain. My legs kicked against the ground.

"Where do you think you're going? You think you can get away from me, huh. Do you think you can escape? No. You're coming with me. I'm not letting you get away this time."

"No. No." I screamed.

I fought and struggled as he dragged me towards the car.

"Let me go." I shouted.

"Help me. Help me. Somebody please help me." I screamed.

My throat was hurting. It was raw and dry from all the screaming and crying.

I kept struggling and fighting. I tried everything I could to break free from his grip. But, the more I resisted, the tighter his hold on me got. His hands were strong and powerful. His arms were thick and muscular. He was built. My strength was no match for his.

Brandon spun me around and slapped me hard across the face.

The slap was so strong that I fell to the ground.

"Fck. Why won't you stop?" He yelled.

He pulled me up and slapped me again.

"Stop." I begged.

"I hate you." He said as he slapped me.

"I hate you. I hate you."

He hit me again and again. "I hate you for not wanting to give yourself to me. I hate you for making me look like a fool in front of everyone. Now everyone on campus thinks I'm not good enough to satisfy you, because you chose Ryan over me." He yelled.

“Because of you, Liam, I got hit in the face by Ryan. All I did was love you Liam, but this is how you repay me. By cheating on me and choosing the wrong man. You're a little ungrateful whore, Liam. You're a worthless piece of s-ht. I promised Ryan that I was going to ruin you. And that's exactly what I'm doing.”

He threw me hard on the ground. My body was aching and throbbing from all the hitting and punching.

"You will give yourself to me. One way or another. You will be mine. You will see."

Brandon grabbed my face and held it tightly.

"Now, tell me you love me. Tell me you want to be with me."

I didn't say a word. I couldn't. I didn't love him. At that moment, I regretted every meeting him in the first place. I regretted calling him back. This was a huge mistake. A nightmare.

"Say it. Say you love me." Brandon said. He slapped me hard.

I closed my eyes and winced in pain. Tears streamed down my face.

"Tell me. Brandon. Tell me." He hit me again.

I remained silent.

"You will tell me." He yelled.

"Do you love me, Liam? Say it."

He was so angry. His whole body was shaking.

I was terrified.

This Brandon was a stranger to me. This was not the guy I knew.

This was not the guy who offered me his shirt when I stained mine with coffee. This was not the guy who took me on a date. This was not the guy who was always kind, sweet and considerate.

This was a monster. An angry and jealous monster. Either he was possessed by an evil spirit or maybe this was the real him all along. Maybe he was pretending to be a good guy. Pretending to be something he's not. I had no idea who this man was. But, what I did know was, he was a violent person and he was dangerous.

Brandon hit me again and again.

"Fck. Say it, Liam.”

I shook my head.

"No. No." I cried.

“I don’t love you. I never will. The only person I have feelings for is Ryan. He’s a lot better than you, Brandon. You’re just a monster. I will never choose you over Ryan. Never. You will never have me, Brandon. I hate you. That will never belong to you. You are a loser and a coward. Ryan will always be the better man.”

My words must have set him off because he became even angrier. Brandon's face turned red and his eyes narrowed. He looked like a demon. He used one of his hands to pin me down and the other went down to his belt buckle.

"You're making a huge mistake, Liam. I will show you. You will love me. One way or another." He said.

My heart began to beat faster as the realization hit me. He was going to r -ape me. Oh no. This is not happening.

I couldn't believe that Brandon was capable of such a horrible act.

"Please. Stop. Please, Brandon." I cried.

“Please don’t do this.” I begged.

"Shut up, Liam" He was taking off his belt and his pants.

I could feel the fear and anxiety build up inside of me. I began to scream louder since his hand was no longer blocking my mouth.

"Help me. Please. Help. Someone help me."

My throat was sore.

"I will kill you." Brandon shouted as he raised his hand and was about to strike me.

Suddenly, I heard a loud noise. It sounded like an engine. A motorcycle engine. The motorcycle came speeding into the parking lot. The loud engine and the sound of the wheels screeching to a stop made Brandon stop his assault.

He turned to towards the direction of the noise.

“Who’s there?” He asked.

A bright light suddenly appeared and before I knew it, a figure appeared from the shadows and jumped on Brandon.

I screamed as Brandon was taken down.

It was a blur.

All I could hear was the grunts and the screams of Brandon. I could also hear the sounds of the punches. Brandon's face was getting beaten over and over again. He was on the floor, groaning in pain. His face was badly beaten.

I sat on the floor, watching the scene unfold. I didn't know what was going on. I was scared and confused. The attacker kept on hitting Brandon and punching him. He didn't stop.

The attacker was covered in a black helmet and clothes. The person's face was also hidden under the motorcycle helmet. Neither Brandon nor I could identify the attacker. The person was very tall. His or her arms were big and muscular. Brandon couldn't defend himself. The attacker kept on striking him and beating him.

"Stop. Stop. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Brandon begged.

“Please stop hitting me….Owwww….My face was already bruised before. Please stop it.” Brandon cried like a baby.

I couldn't tell if the person was a man or a woman. All I could tell was, the attacker was definitely bigger and stronger than Brandon.

The person kept on hitting and punching him. I sat there on the ground, frozen in fear.

"Don't kill me. Don't kill me. Please." Brandon begged.

His voice was weak and he was in so much pain.

"Please. Please." He cried.

I felt like I was stuck in a dream. I put my hands over my ears and closed my eyes.

Even though, this person had saved me from Brandon, there was no telling what this stranger would do to me next. Who knows? Maybe he or she was also going to r - ape me, or do something even worse.

The person kept on punching Brandon until he was completely unconscious. Finally, the attacker stopped. Brandon lay still on the floor. He wasn’t moving. He looked like he was dead. I opened my eyes slowly, when I stopped hearing Brandon cries.

Was he dead? Did the attacker kill him?

Oh God!

Then the attacker stood up and turned towards me. I was afraid.

"Don't hurt me." I said. I flinched and moved a bit.

The person walked towards me. His steps were slow and precise.

"Please. Don't hurt me." I pleaded.

He or she continued to walk closer.

"No. Stay away." I begged.

My back was pressed against the car. I had nowhere else to run. I closed my eyes and began to cry.

"Please don't hurt me." I said.

I was shaking uncontrollably. The person kept coming closer.

"No." I cried.

Then the person spoke.

"Liam."

His voice was deep and muffled because of the helmet.

I looked up.

“It’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you.” The person said. The person reached out his hand towards me.

“Murphy .”
