Chapter 194: Her unfinished mission
Sheharzaad's breath hitched in her throat.
She stopped.
A ringing sound rung in her ears, jabbing at her mind.
Her eyes widened.
Her heart drumming in her ears.
She was struck.
And as soon as she heard, footsteps nearing towards the room, she immediately closed the
diary, placed it in the drawer and laid on the couch, staring at the ceiling.
Back in the university days, she and Amna has created this secret code wording and she
never thought it will help her in this way.
'Do you remember the classroom 312 of our campus?'
That classroom 312 actually held alot of secrets that was just between them and a third
person who has died and was six feet down the ground.
This sentence was kind of a conformation that the other person has got something secret to
tell. And when the next person would say 'You do' it would mean that something really was
serious. The third letter of every word when concatenated will give you the message the
other person is trying to convey.
She used method once or twice before in one silly and one grave situation and it saved her.
And today, Amna sent a message through this method again. They were silly kids when they
devised this technique but now it was helping Sheharzaad.
Sheharzaad thought that Amna might have the fear that the call must be recorded that was
why she used this way.
Now that her mind was working, numerous questions probed her brain.
What did Wali want from her?
And should she help him?
And what if Sheharyaar came to know?
The thought chilled her to the bone marrow.
If Shehryaar came to know about this, then it only meant destruction for her. It could be
possible that her suffering this time get increased as compared to what she endured in the
cell. That dark cell haunts her to this date. She would prefer dying than to go back there.
But she also needed a way through which she could get out from the paws of Shehryaar.
She was tired of being scared.
....
Sheharzaad was sitting with other family members in the lounge as currently they all were
planning to go to a hotel to celebrate little Alizey's birthday. She thought to leave her room
and sit with them for some moments. Rather Dua forced her to leave her room. As most of
the time she would either be working for Shehryaar or in her room. And she thought that
was the reason some maids passed her an odd look that she interacted less with people.
Was always quiet and alone. But they did not know what she has been through that has
morphed into this shape today. The trauma, the scars were evident on her persona and it
was unnoticeable to other people but was in the notice of the very person who inflicted
these marks on her soul - Shehryaar Haider Syed.
Dua was adamant to celebrate Alizey's birthday outdoor instead at home. And they couldn't
decide the venue because of usual bickering of Haseeb and Dua. It has gotten more intense
after their marriage announcement. They both were at each other's neck all the time.
Always in a competition. Especially Dua. Haseeb often backed but Dua never. She would be
at his neck until he accepted her demands.
"No. We're not going to that boring place, Haseeb. Duh. Come up with a new place,"
"She is a 10 and she thinks she is the coolest here. Duh," Haseeb bit back.
"And y-"
"No! No! Stop you two little chillies! I will decide where we'd go," Zahra intervened,
knowing that if they began their not so little fight here then it won't stop until the world
would turn upside down.
"I know a place. Irtaza took me there. They've the most delicious of the foods. We can go
there,"
"Oooo if that's Irtaza bhai's choice then it must be a nice place," Dua commented.
"Yes. It was calming and serene,"
"Where is it?" Haya asked.
"Well, I don't remember the name and place exactly. I will ask Irtaza and then inform you
all,"
"Ok that's good. Alizey's surprise birthday is in two days so I guess we've got very less time
to prepare and we can" Dua continued to tell about the preparations when Sheharaad's eyes
fell on Shehryaar walking in from the door.
He came home early today.
Sheharzaad got vigilant, fixing her shirt and dupatta around her chest. She was as hesitant
as day one around him. As soon as he has entered, his eyes fell on her.
He walked towards her, tucking her tresses behind her ear and bend forward to place a kiss
on the crown of her head and quickly a chaste kiss on her lips which made her eyes
widened.
Everybody was sitting there!
After giving her his undivided attention, he straightened himself and stared at his family
members and they informed him that they were planning for Alizey's birthday party.
"It was Sheharzaad's idea," Dua happily told Shehryaar and she passed Dua a frown.
It was never her idea.
"Well, she said that it's been a while since we had a party or a get together and I told that
Alizey's birthday is coming so basically it is Sheharzaad's idea," Dua told everyone including
Shehryaar.
"And she is also very much adamant to celebrate Alizey's birthday outdoors instead at
home. And we all think it is a great idea. Even we decided the venue,"
Sheharzaad looked at her in confusion and Dua winked at her. She not got it. She wanted to
increase Sheharzaad's point infront his eyes that she was taking part in family gathering
and get together. For that, Sheharzaad passed her a smile.
Dua has gotten along with her quite well. And she was the only person after Amna to whom
she told that Shehryaar gave her a phone. She also added Dua's number to her whatsapp.
Shehryaar sat for a while with his family as the talked about other stuff and after a few
moments, he took her hand and led her to their room.
As soon as they entered, Shehryaar looked at her with a pinning gaze which made her take a
step back from him.
"Whom did you talk with today?"
The ground slipped beneath her feet.
"Amna. Just Amna," She immediately replied.
