Chapter 40: In Baltimore Having BIG FUN Part I

*A few days later*

Morgan bobbed her head to the music playing in the background. It was her morning off, and she’d envisioned relaxing, but the person pounding on her door clearly had other plans.

“I’m coming,” she said, but the knocking didn’t cease. “I said I’m com—wha-what are you two doing here?”

Smiling wickedly at her, Sterling leaned forward and kissed her cheek. “Little Red, you look beautiful.”

Jordan kissed her other cheek. “I agree. Can we come in?” Her lips parted. They’d completely caught her off guard, and she had no advantage. It certainly didn’t help that they looked delicious. Jordan was in his infamous suit and tie, and Sterling was in his signature ripped jeans and leather jacket. Not waiting for her to respond, Jordan brushed past her and waltzed into the apartment.

Quickly on his heels, she pulled at his coat. “Are you going to answer my question?”

“We wanted to see you.” Tilting his head, he caressed the side of her face, and she backed away, colliding into Sterling.

“Seeing you at Christmas really did a number on us,” Sterling said. His words vibrated against her back, and his natural scent wafted through her nose. She swallowed hard, and turned around and looked at him. Her lips parted again, and without realizing it, she licked them. He smirked. “Why are you looking at me like that, Little Red?”

“I’m not looking at you any kind of way.”

Leaning forward, he lifted her head with his finger. “Your eyes are blue, Morgan.” She didn’t need him to tell her. The antsy nature of her wolf’s craving for its mates was pushing her into the brink of madness. He shoved her slightly, and she gasped when she landed against Jordan. The smell of his pheromones seeped into her nose, forcing her knees to weaken. She groaned as his hands slid up the front of her shirt.

“Do you want us to leave?” he whispered in her ear.

“No.” She closed her eyes as he popped the buttons on her shirt. Teasing her breasts through her bra, her nipples hardened under his touch. He slid the straps down her shoulders and removed it. In one swift tug, Sterling pulled her shorts and panties down, and Jordan squeezed her nipples harder. “Oh…” she moaned.

Sterling placed her leg on his shoulder. Holding her steady, he pleasured her, sending every part of her body into overdrive. Morgan shut her eyes and wrapped one hand around Jordan’s neck and the other in Sterling’s hair.

“We’ve missed you.” Jordan murmured before taking her lips. She groaned in his mouth, feeling her climax approach.

*Knock knock knock*

Morgan sat up and banged her fist into her pillow. “Ugh!” she screamed. “Just when it was getting good!” Her wolf whined, and she laughed at its hornball behavior. “I know girl, I know. They need to stop playing and work us over.” She chuckled. “Alexa, play my jams.” Music filling her ears, and she bobbed her head and went to see who was at the door. Pulling at the knob, she almost jumped out of her skin at the sight of Jordan and Sterling.

Sterling tilted his head. “Are you alright, Little Red?” he asked.

She rubbed her eyes a few times and then pinched her arm. “W-what are you guys doing here?”

Jordan cleared his throat. “Apologies for just popping up. However, Rachel said you were home, and we have something for you.” Looking from one twin to the other, her jelly legs returned. “Is it okay if we come in?”

“Okay,” she responded, unable to take her eyes off them.

Jordan waltzed in first and looked around. “Very nice.”

“Thank you.”

Sterling entered and stood behind her. “Sorry for just popping up on you, but we really wanted to see you,” he said. She faced him. His leather jacket and combat boots made her mouth dry. He scrunched his face. “Why are you looking at me like that, Little Red?”

“H-huh?” she said as she backed away from him and collided into Jordan.

Jordan rubbed her shoulders. “Do you want us to leave?” he asked.

“No!” she shouted and darted to her room.

“That was weird,” Sterling said, and Jordan nodded. The longer they stood in the apartment, the more it became apparent that visiting may not have been the best idea.

Jordan linked the Sterling, *“She’s ovulating.”*

*“This is bad.”*

*“We can handle it.”*

They looked at one another and then closed their eyes to keep them from changing. After a few moments, she reappeared. No longer flustered, she noticed a small box in each of their hands. Pointing at them, she smiled. “Are those for me?”

“They are. It seems, Ms. Pierce, that what were supposed to be Christmas gifts were put on pause because of the events that took place.”

“Why do you always sound like you’re trying to sell insurance? She was there, Jordy. She knows Elijah was being a dick.”

“Don’t call me that,” Jordan said, his nostrils flaring.

Sterling grinned, giving him the resemblance of a Cheshire cat. “Why not, Jordy? You don’t like being called Jordy? I think Jordy is a great nickname. Don’t you agree, Little Red?”

She chuckled. “Leave him alone before I have to bear witness to him murdering you. Besides, I love how professional he is, just like I love how playful you are.” They gazed at her but remained quiet, and she tugged at the sleeve of her hoodie. Clearing her throat, she took a seat on the couch. Each brother sat in opposite chairs out of fear that they’d attack her.

Sterling linked to Jordan, going on a tangent, *“Why does she have to smell like apples, look so appetizing, act so sweet, and be ovulating? Like fuck me, literally!”*

Jordan almost choked hearing his last outburst. Shaking his head, he presented her with his gift. “Open it,” he said.

She was excited—not only by the presents, but because she was with them both. Unwrapping his box, she pulled out a pendant. The diamonds surrounding the crystal were exquisite, and so clear she could see her reflection. “Wow…” Turning it over, she realized there was a small picture on the other side of Jordan and her kissing under the Eiffel Tower. “I love it,” she said, and he smiled in return.

Placing it to the side, she took the other box from Sterling and opened it. Seeing the same beautiful pendant encrusted with diamonds, she noticed that it was attached to a chain. There was a picture of them dressed as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, with him kissing her as she held the rose he’d given her. Fiddling with both, she snapped them together, creating a locket that contained pictures of all of them. She wiped her eyes, but the tears continued to fall. She placed the necklace around her neck. “This means so much to me. Thank you.” The words may not have been said, but she knew what the necklace meant.

*They’re trying*

That was all she wanted. Standing, she walked over and kissed them both on the cheek. “Oh wait! I got something for you too,” she said. Jordan and Sterling looked at one another. They hadn’t expected her to get them anything in return, considering they weren’t on the best of terms. Racing to her room, she grabbed the boxes and rushed back into the living room. She handed each of them their gifts and did a small jig while waiting for them to open them.

Sterling tore at his first, and his eyes saucered when he saw the gold-plated, diamond-encrusted, rare gaming console. “Morgan…”

She looked down at her shoes. “Crap. Please tell me you don’t already have it. I don’t think I can return it.”

“How did you—I've been looking for—Jesus woman!” He could hardly get his words out as he grabbed her in his arms. “This is amazing. I love you so much.”

She beamed at him. Facing Jordan, she nudged her head. “Your turn,” she said, and he arched his eyebrow at the box. She knew she shouldn’t expect the same reaction as Sterling. Though he was always appreciative, Jordan showed it differently. He opened his gift and slowly lifted out three monogrammed leather-bound portfolios. It didn’t take him long to see that, like Sterling’s console, his gift was also expensive.

She gave him a soft smile. “You were mad when you left yours at the hotel, so I thought I’d get you three. That way, if you lose one, you have two more. I couldn’t find the original one you had, so I hope these are okay.”

He stood and kissed her cheek. “Excuse me,” he said, and left the room.

She scrunched her face at Sterling, and he smirked. “He’s going to go cry,” he said.

“I am not!” Jordan roared from the other room, his voice cracking. Pursing her lips, Morgan fought the urge to laugh. After a moment, he returned and hugged her. “They’re amazing, Honey. I love you.”

She ran her fingers over her necklace. “You know the best part? All the money came from the profits of the restaurant. We paid off Elijah too.” She sucked her teeth at the thought of him. “Jerk.”

As if she could hear the conversation surrounding her mate, Rachel entered through the front door. She stilled when she saw the twins, but they instantly pulled her into their arms. Saying nothing, they embraced her, and she laughed. “I’m alright. I told you that earlier.”

Sterling growled. “I should have eaten him at Christmas. Jordan would have let me, too!”

“I absolutely would have.”

She laughed again, grateful for the temporary comic relief. Pulling herself free, she wrapped her arm around Morgan. “I’m okay, really. It hurts, but I’m okay.”

Morgan grinned. “Besides, tonight we have plans, don’t we?” Rachel nodded, returning her grin, and she winked.

“Can I come?” Sterling asked.

He swung his arms, and she rolled her eyes. “Don’t think you two are off the hook. I love my gifts, but you’re still in the dog house,” she said.

Jordan and Sterling cleared their throats. They were hoping today would have swayed her, but they should have known better.

“Well, we will get out of your hair.” Jordan said, and the twins hugged them before leaving the apartment.

Standing outside, Jordan turned to Sterling. “What do you think they have planned?”

He scoffed. “Probably girl stuff. You know, facials and awful movies.

“They’re in Baltimore!” Elijah screamed as he ran into Jordan’s loft without knocking. Sterling eyed him from the couch. “It’s all over her social media! *‘Being wild and free with the wretched and singing the wretched song. #Hashtag *Baltimoreliving*!” He wiped the sweat from his brow. His heart was beating so fast, he was sure it would pop out of his chest.

“You do remember that they’re from Baltimore, right?” Jordan asked, entering the room. “More than likely, they just went to have a good time.”

“Nobody goes to Baltimore to have a good time! Have you watched *The Cosby show*?! They go to have big fun, Jordan! Big fucking fun!” He plopped onto the couch and fanned himself. “Oh God. I don’t know what big fun is, but if she’s in Baltimore, I just know she’s having it. I can’t breathe.”

“You know who you should ask? Your mother, since you think she knows everything else,” Sterling said.

They’d been ragging on Elijah for the past few days, refusing to let him forget he’d ruined their Christmas with Morgan and hurt Rachel’s feelings. He didn’t need them to tell him how badly he’d messed up, though. He felt it the moment he could no longer smell her scent in their home. It had only been a few days, but he was miserable. He’d started stalking her social media until he’d finally shown up at the restaurant. He would never forget the humor all over Jordan’s face as they stared at his picture, now posted with the caption, *‘Let him in, get beat thee fuck up’*, typed in big, bold letters.

He cut his eyes at Sterling. “Now’s not the time. Besides, you haven’t seen what they’re wearing.”

He shoved the phone in Sterling, and Jordan’s faces, and Sterling rolled his eyes. “I’m sure it’s not anything compared to the red dress she wore.” He coughed on his popcorn. Morgan was wearing a tight red lacquered leather latex one piece, Rachel was wearing a black one, and Alexus was in matching purple. Not having seen Jordan’s face, he knew he felt the same. “Here, take the phone back. I almost drooled on it,” he said. They didn’t like it. She looked too good with her new haircut, flawless makeup, and that damn red latex.

Jordan clasped his hands together, trying to take his mind to some place else. He peered at Alexus. She was shorter than her sisters, but her brown eyes and smile were just as bright. Her warm honey complexion was complimented by a light dusting of freckles painted on the bridge of her nose. She had long, curly, raven hair that cascaded down her back, and though slightly smaller than Morgan, she still had curves that made their own bold statement. She was stunning, and he could tell from the photo that, like her sisters, she was just as beautiful on the inside. “Elijah, who’s the one in purple?” he asked.

“Their sister, Alexus. twenty-three years old, attends Stanford. She’s visiting until after New Year,” Elijah said. Sterling cocked his head back, and he rubbed the back of his neck. “I, uh, might have taken a peek at her profile, too.”

Jordan patted him on the back. “You really need to calm down. Just give her some time and talk to her when she returns.”

“So then, you two are giving Morgan some time?”

His jaw twitched. “Unlike you, we aren’t in trouble.”

Elijah scoffed, and Sterling sank into the chair. “Well…maybe not as much as you,” he muttered.

Running through Morgan’s timeline, Elijah smiled. “Not in trouble, huh?” He put the phone back to Jordan’s face, and he saw her sitting on the hood of a fancy car decorated with pristinely cleaned wheels and blackened windows.

He raised his eyebrow. “Is this a video?” he asked. He clicked the screen, and the loud music blaring in the background almost made him fall backwards onto the couch. Sterling joined, and they stared at her dancing. Her feet were moving like crazy, but somehow still in sync to the beat.

“I don’t understand half the words. I can’t catch the beat. I don’t understand anything that is happening in front of my eyes.” Sterling said.

Elijah nodded. “Mhmm, that’s big fun!”

Soon, three enormous wolves—two Alphas and a Beta—found themselves combing through their mate’s social media for twenty minutes, getting angrier by the second.

“Where the hell do you get a peacock for a rap video?” Sterling fumed.

Elijah threw up his hands. “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you! It’s like the Rubicon there!” He grabbed his jacket. “They tagged the club in the post. I’m going.”

Sterling nodded in agreement, but Jordan shook his head. “No, we have to be rational about this. If we show up, they’re just going to get madder than they already are.”

Sterling’s eye twitched, and he rocked his head back and forth. “Do you not see that Elijah and I are about three seconds from flying to the moon? Besides, that asshole touched our mate.”

“He did not.”

Sterling zoomed into one of the pictures as far as he could go. A pinky finger on the hem of Morgan’s dress made Jordan’s eyes turn yellow. He grabbed his coat and shouted for Klaus. By the time he was done in Baltimore, big fun would have a completely different meaning.
