LONGING

ALEXIS CLERK'S POV

Sabastian forced his eyes to move from Derek and rested on me.

I was surprised to see him,I thought of what to do but right now I was in a very messy position,one I couldn't get out of.

He strode to us then,his hands tucked into his trousers pocket,I hadn't known he was going to be here. Hell, I didn't .

I tried wriggling out my hand from Derek's grip but it tightened even more.

I looked up at him but his eyes were still planted in Sabastian,What was he trying to prove?

"Hey,"Sabastian said to me,his voice tight and throaty.

"Hi,"I said,"I didn't know you'd be back in school today"

His eyes slipped from me and went to Derek,it lingered on him for a while before he turned back to me.

"I didn't come for lectures,"He said,"I came to take you home"

Oops,this was bad,I said inwardly.

What was I supposed to do now?Derek had always made it a point of duty to bring me to school and take me back home.

And Sabastian,he had promised to protect me,to be around me and keep me safe.

I was here,stuck between the two people that seemed to prioritize my safety.

Had a made a mistake by being too close to Derek?But he had been here for me when Sabastian left me,I thought

But yet again, Sabastian did what he did for a reason,he hadn't vanished like I thought.

I couldn't let go of Derek now because I had given him hopes of having something serious with him and neither could I ever imagine letting Sabastian go.

"Oh,"I whispered,not knowing what to say.

"Who is he?"Sabastian asked gravely.

I forced my hands from Derek's now and tucked my hair behind my ear.God help me,God help me.

"Well, Sabastian,this is Derek my friend and Derek,this is Sabastian...my,uh…"

"Boyfriend,"Sabastian put in .

I looked up at him and pursed my lips together.

Both men stood looking at each other in the eye and I stood there,dwarfed by their height and looking like a child among adults.

"Yeah,this is Sabastian,my boyfriend,"I said slowly.

Surprisingly,a smile stretched on Derek's face as his eyes didn't leave Sabastian.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Sabastian "He said and stretched out his hand for a handshake.

Sabastian's eyes lowered to it and then looked back up at Derek.He said nothing instead,he turned to me.

"Let me take you home ,Alexis,"Sabastian said instead.

I tried to say something but nothing sensible came into my head.

I didn't know what to do or say,I opened my mouth again but only a shaky whisper came out.

" I thought you went away,"Derek told him,"You left her and I'm here to take care of her"

Sabastian slipped a look at him,"Then how come she never mentioned you to me that shows you're not important"

Derek smiled,"Maybe she didn't know to tell you that we're dating now"

I turned sharply to look at Derek,I was angry but didn't know how to show it. He was obviously going far more than he can.

I had to stop him before this turned out to be something I would regret,I needed to make him know his place though it was special.

Sabastian smiled back,"You heard her say I'm her boyfriend, didn't you?"

"Sabastian"I started,cutting him short before he said something else.

He looked at me,"Let's go home,Alexis"

Derek looked at me and I felt my legs starting to shake,Derek had left all he was doing to drive down here to take me home.

How could I tell him to leave?

Derek smiled again,"It's fine,Alexis...you can go with him"

His smile was warm as usual and for some tucking seconds I felt bad.

He turned me to him and before I could protest,he pulled me into a rips cracking hug,pressing me tightly to his chest.

My hands hung down for a while before I slowly lifted them to wrap around him.

Sabastian watched us with anger dancing in his eyes,his jaw tightened as he tried to calm himself down.

Derek pressed his lips on the top of my head and dropped a kiss there before pulling me away

"I'd see you tomorrow?"He asked.

I nodded.

"I guess I shouldn't bother coming to pick you up or should I?"Derek asked.

"There would be no need for that,"Sabastian said quickly before I had the chance to reply,"I'd bring her to school and drop her home after her lectures so just stay clear"

"Sabastian"I called softly.

"It's fine,Alexis,"Derek smiled,"Well keep in touch,"

I had felt like turning and telling Sabastian to go away and that I had wanted to drive by home with Derek but I couldn't,I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Let's go,Alexis,"Sabastian said.

He stretched out his hand for me and I gingerly took it and just like Derek had done,he wrapped his hands possessively around mine.

Sabastian led me as we walked away with Derek watching us.I felt bad or rather should I say I felt dumb but I was stuck in-between and it would take a miracle for me to get out of this.

Sabastian walked me to his car and held the door open for me,I got in and he rounded to the driver's seat.

I looked out of the window to see Derek still standing looking at us,I looked away as Sabastian settled down before the steering.

I could tell that he was still very much angry as he started the car and it crawled out of the parking lot.

Had I done something bad by leaving Derek ?Would I also have done something bad if I had chosen not to go with Sabastian?
