Chapter 51: Daven!?

The pit-patting sound of pouring rain seemed to fade away only to come back again as the car sped up a few highways.

Wayn sat there with a laptop on his lap.

"Sir, We are near."

All his focus on the projects that were going to be launched this season, Wayn was far from noticing how they were only miles away from reaching his place.

"How near are we?"

With his fingers rubbing his temple, his eyes averted from his laptop.

"I think few..miles."

Lunar's eyes reluctantly moved back and forth from the rearview mirror to the road.

Watching a strange woman fast asleep beside his boss, Lunar couldn't help but feel that something was wrong.

Very wrong that Lunar couldn't help but notice the indifference in his very typical boss.

"Alright."

A gulp, Lunar looked away as Wayn's hoarse voice reached his ears.

Wayn rubbed his face as he took off the spectacles.

His eyes blinked before they subconsciously fell upon her.

His subconscious glance soon turned into a deep stare as Jule sat there, fast asleep beside him.

Eyeing her posture, Wayn slightly frowned.

Her head against the window, her hands rested on her lap, knees touching each other, she looked too pale and her body trembled helplessly.

Noticing her knitted eyebrows which described the very amount of uncomfortableness she was feeling, Wayn took his coat from his lap before he turned to her only to freeze in mid way.

With his hand almost placing the coat on her thighs, his eyes couldn't break the accidental eye-contact he started.

With her hooded and tired eyes, Jule gently rubbed her arms, looking at him.

A small grunt as she felt the cold shivers go down her spine, she noticed his stoned figure before her eyes trailed along with his arm before she saw his coat.

Wayn gulped, eyeing her as she continued to gape at it.

As much as patience he tried to hold towards her, his arm ached and his lips parted, ready to take his hand back.

But Jule stopped his hand.

Taking the coat slowly as he watched her quiver due to the cold weather, Jule turned away, pulling the coat up her upper body.

Wayn turned away as soon as silence took over the place.

With his breath heavy, Wayn felt his stomach full of butterflies while ears were reddening deeply.

Glancing at her back that was facing him, Wayn looked away in an instant when the flashbacks of what they did hours ago came back to his mind.

"T-thank you."

The silence broke as Jule spoke with her low and hesitant voice.

Wayn's eyes immediately turned away from even the slight sight of hers.

Looking at the dark view of the thick forest, Wayn rubbed the tip of his finger over his trembling lips.

"Chris?"

His heart fluttered as soon as he heard her voice again.

"H-hm?"

He hummed with his eyes stuck on the window glass.

Jule turned her head around before looking at him.

Wayn couldn't tell if it's the coldness or her soft gaze over his back tha sent shivers down his knees.

"Will you wake me up when we reach there?"

Wayn blinked vigorously.

The thought of her sleeping beside him while his head filled with such forbidden thoughts made his breath rigid.

"Chris..? Do you hear me?"

"Yes. You can go to sleep."

Lunar glanced once again at the rearview mirror that showed her figure merely.

A sigh, he fastened the car.

Jule hummed tiredly.

"Thank you, master."

Wayn's POV

"**Thank you, master**."

My ears blasted with heat as I heard her timid voice form those words.

Cute she was, tempting she was.

As much as I wanted to response to that, silence took place between us and soon, the sleep took over her tired self.

*Tired*..

Her teary eyes were quick to flash infront of my eyes as I recalled the look on her face this evening.

It's not that hard to notice how she didn't look okay when I went to pick her up.

*Did something happen with her friends*?

I glanced at her and what Zeus told me the other day echoed in my mind.

"*She doesn't have much friends*. *Only one short asian girl she sits with*. I think she's introvert, perfect for the position you hired."

My cheeks reddened as I coughed quiet, ignoring the fact that those last words actually made sense.

*Fxcking idiot never fails to tease me*.

I rolled my eyes as I rubbed my temple once again.

*Asian girl, huh*..

I bit my lip as my eyes opened in an instant within a idea popping in my head.

I looked over at Jule.

Not that I want to but just have to make sure she's asleep or I might mess up.

Taking my time upon observing her asleep figure that face her back to me, I slowly took out the phone from my pants packet.

It was not mine but indeed it's hers.

A chuckle left my lips when I gaped at her phone that looked as cute as hers.

with black butterfly attached, her phone has the brightness so low.

The fact that she didn't even think of her missing belongings —especially her phone, made me smile at her stubborness.

How can she live without phone? Isn't she a teenager with a boyfriend or something?

I blinked at her.

*Nah… too stubborn to have a boyfriend*.

I blushed at my own thoughts.

*What the fuck*? *Why am I thinking of her personal life*?

I shook my head as I placed the phone down over my thigh.

*Right*.. *I don't have to know everything, do I*?

I rubbed my temple as I laid my head over the headrest of the seat.

**Professional**.

I opened my eyes as soon the phone vibrated on my thigh.

Leaning my head forward, I sighed upon noticing her quiet snores gettig more quieter.

*Fxck, did I wake her up*—

My fingers froze in mid way of pressing the power button.

It's not the notification but the lockscreen behind it.

Her very phone lockscreen.

My heart paced fast for some reason as I took another good look at the male hand which she kept as her lockscreen.

The hand was thin but as muscular as It ever been, with a familiar star tattoo on his little finger.

*No*...

**It can't be**.

"**Daven**!?"
